Total dive bar but everyone is friendly and happy to chat. Honestly thought it was a strip club based on the name until we called. Mexican restaurant next door is awesome and will bring your food over (bar doesnt have food). Would go back!

I just wanted a local coffee, a local pastry and Angelina's delivered! My coffee was delicious and really seemed like it was made with care, not rushed like a starbucks would be. I enjoyed 3 little treats, a lemon button? cookie, a chocolate sandwich cookie and an almond cookie (don't come at me 😆 I was on vacation)
If I'm ever visiting that area again I will make it my mission to come here again. I highly recommend it!

You know how there are some things from the past that you remember fondly, but then when you get a chance to experience them again, they just don’t live up to the memory?

Well I just had the opposite experience. My favorite meal when we lived in Monterey from 2014-2017 was the Fried Chicken dinner at the Googie Grill in Seaside, CA. I still dream about this chicken, so no way I was going to miss a chance to have it while we are back in town on a road trip vacation.

I just had it for dinner tonight and they have not lost a step. It is every bit as good as I remember it. Big pieces of chicken with flavorful, CRISPY crust and a chipotle cream dipping sauce that defies description.

I would drive 1700 miles again just to eat this chicken.
