I originally found her through a local Facebook recommendation page, and now I completely understand why so many people speak so highly of her. She was extremely responsive, communicative, and took the time to explain help me learn about my Aussie.
Mary did an incredible job gently cleaning my girl’s overgrown undercoat out without rushing the process. You can tell she truly cares about the comfort and wellbeing of the animals she works with. She also took extra precautions with my Aussie’s sensitive hips, which meant a lot to me.
She looks healthier, happier, and so much more comfortable. Her coat is soft and beautiful —plus she smells amazing. Highly recommend Mary if you’re looking for someone experienced, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring with your pets.

She has tons of patience and excels in getting in touch with not only each dog, but us, the dog owners. Ellen helped with both Cocoa's and my own separation anxiety. Plus she does a fantastic job of grooming my dog. The finishing touch is the bow! I can relax knowing Cocoa is safe with Ellen. I just can't imagine going to anyone else!

They are quick with walk in nail trims which is great for us since our schedules are often hectic. Their full service bath leaves my dog smelling good for a while too! Steinbeck Country Small Animal Clinic
15881 Toro Hills Ave, SalinasJust moved to Salinas from Charleston SC and had to leave my beloved vet. This place has great reviews so I got an apt for my puppy here. They got me in within a week or so of me calling and I had a great first experience. They were timely and kind and clearly love animals. I didn’t feel like they tried to “sell” me on anything I didn’t want. They gave great advice on when to fix my pup and training tips too.
I will be making appointments for my kitties to come here as well.
EDIT: brought one of my kitties in when he suddenly was using the litter box a LOT more than usual. They were able to fit me in same day. Thankfully Zigzag is ok but they were great about seeing him.
Beverly who is usually who I see up front is an absolute sweetheart. She never rushes people and is always so pleasant and kind. All the staff has been the same way. I feel like I found a great vet and so close to my house.

Answering all my questions while they worked & making it look effortless (minus the sweat!). Mine was a preemptive visit, I didn't have a dog yet, but still I was treated as a VIP. I tell anyone with pets about From the Heart lol. I really can't praise the exceptional level of customer service enough.

It turns out that under our dog’s hyper, energetic exterior is an extremely trainable and eager-to-please pup! We wouldn’t have recognized that and known what to do with it if it weren’t for Holly.We initially started seeing Holly because my doctor recommended I look into training my dog as a service dog. My doctor recommended Holly as a reputable trainer, as she’s heard positive feedback about Holly from other patients.I reached out to Holly, we discussed goals, then did virtual training sessions over FaceTime over the course of a few months. From the very first session, Holly’s guidance was leading us to great results. Our dog used to pull like crazy for entire walks, but now she’s much more polite. It has made walking her much more enjoyable, and now we bring her way more places.What sets Holly apart is that she doesn’t just resort to one strategy to train a dog - she pivots to new ideas if the initial approach doesn’t work. For example, when training my dog to not jump at other dogs on walks, Holly had the creative idea to sit 25 yards from a PetSmart entrance and practice “leave it” so my dog could practice disengaging with other dogs from afar.In regards to service dog training, Holly has an empathetic and motivated approach to ensuring both dog and handler work well together. I felt very comfortable communicating with her about everything.

1390 Nogal Dr, SalinasI got the birra torta here and two tacos al pastor. The tacos were good but the torta was surprisingly delicious upon first bite due to the quality of the birria. The overall taste profile at this location is balanced and deep, meaning it is well-seasoned and flavorful without being excessive or greasy. It is food that can be eaten every day without feeling overloaded. It is also at a very nice location next to a park and lots of trees.
I randomly met the owner one day prior at an unrelated place, and I can see that there is a reason he confidently invited me to try his food, where his lovely wife operates the business and cooking! It is because he knows he can deliver a great food experience! Through word of mouth, I know that I am not the only one who liked the torta here.
There is quite an extensive menu, and I will definitely be back to try more items. I highly recommend the birria. Overall a great spot!

1250 N Main St, SalinasThis is an experience you should not pass on. So far this is the best Chinese restaurant we have eaten at in Salinas, CA. Limited parking. Staff is friendly and attentive.
Wonton soup was flavorful with soft wonton. The chow mein noodles were soft and chewy (not for everyone) but the flavor was amazing. The fried rice did not have peas and carrots in it, as it should be. They did use green onions. The fried prawns were crunchy and non greasy but hot, same with the egg rolls. The sweet and sour pork was had hand dipped quality and cooked. The breading on the outside was not traditional like what you would find at a buffet. They seem to take pride in the food they serve and it shows. We will be going back as this is a place that is save on our phone and in our stomachs.

We o my tried the pastries and they were delicious. I ordered the strawberry croissant and I highly recommend. Éclair was delicious however it was a bit too dry. Will definitely be back..

The ice cream with boba was unique and tasted really good. We also liked that you are able to mix different ice cream flavors together to create the combination you want.
The store itself was nicely decorated and clean during our visit, which made the atmosphere feel welcoming.
Overall, it was a fun place to stop for dessert.
