You'll probably never have a problem finding cat or dog food there. They have about 34 aisles of each lol. Pretty good store all in all. They have reptiles, fish, cats, birds & more. And, if you walk in at the right time, you might get to see a really cool pup or two shopping for a new chew toy.

I took my doodle/cockapoo in for a full groom and took him in wearing a muzzle out of concern as he’s fearful of other dogs and people, initially. I was so impressed when I arrived and saw him being held and without the muzzle. He was fully groomed and perfectly calm. I look forward to continuing to take my dog in for his grooming appointments and having him get more comfortable over time.

I originally found her through a local Facebook recommendation page, and now I completely understand why so many people speak so highly of her. She was extremely responsive, communicative, and took the time to explain help me learn about my Aussie.
Mary did an incredible job gently cleaning my girl’s overgrown undercoat out without rushing the process. You can tell she truly cares about the comfort and wellbeing of the animals she works with. She also took extra precautions with my Aussie’s sensitive hips, which meant a lot to me.
She looks healthier, happier, and so much more comfortable. Her coat is soft and beautiful —plus she smells amazing. Highly recommend Mary if you’re looking for someone experienced, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring with your pets.

She has tons of patience and excels in getting in touch with not only each dog, but us, the dog owners. Ellen helped with both Cocoa's and my own separation anxiety. Plus she does a fantastic job of grooming my dog. The finishing touch is the bow! I can relax knowing Cocoa is safe with Ellen. I just can't imagine going to anyone else!

254 Main Street, SalinasMy Mamacita Willow went for the first time a month and a half ago, and I am very pleased with how she came out, Olivia was her groomer. Willow is a scared dog, hates getting her nails cut, won’t let me brush her face, it’s a struggle. Olivia said Willow did amazing and allowed her to groom her and it shows because she came out looking super adorable. I took her back again today someone else groomed her and I missed her name unfortunately but she did a good job as well. Willow was relaxed when letting her cut her nails. The pricing is reasonable and I love how they groom my Mamacita and they’re all so friendly. So we will definitely be going back. Thanks central barks

Upon arrival, the wait was minimal before Charlie was taken for the surgery, which was completed quickly. He was released early the same afternoon with meds. He's doing very well. The cost was very reasonable and I appreciated that, as well as the exceptional service we received.

Steinbeck Country Small Animal Clinic
15881 Toro Hills Avenue, SalinasJust moved to Salinas from Charleston SC and had to leave my beloved vet. This place has great reviews so I got an apt for my puppy here. They got me in within a week or so of me calling and I had a great first experience. They were timely and kind and clearly love animals. I didn’t feel like they tried to “sell” me on anything I didn’t want. They gave great advice on when to fix my pup and training tips too.
I will be making appointments for my kitties to come here as well.
EDIT: brought one of my kitties in when he suddenly was using the litter box a LOT more than usual. They were able to fit me in same day. Thankfully Zigzag is ok but they were great about seeing him.
Beverly who is usually who I see up front is an absolute sweetheart. She never rushes people and is always so pleasant and kind. All the staff has been the same way. I feel like I found a great vet and so close to my house.

Answering all my questions while they worked & making it look effortless (minus the sweat!). Mine was a preemptive visit, I didn't have a dog yet, but still I was treated as a VIP. I tell anyone with pets about From the Heart lol. I really can't praise the exceptional level of customer service enough.

It turns out that under our dog’s hyper, energetic exterior is an extremely trainable and eager-to-please pup! We wouldn’t have recognized that and known what to do with it if it weren’t for Holly.We initially started seeing Holly because my doctor recommended I look into training my dog as a service dog. My doctor recommended Holly as a reputable trainer, as she’s heard positive feedback about Holly from other patients.I reached out to Holly, we discussed goals, then did virtual training sessions over FaceTime over the course of a few months. From the very first session, Holly’s guidance was leading us to great results. Our dog used to pull like crazy for entire walks, but now she’s much more polite. It has made walking her much more enjoyable, and now we bring her way more places.What sets Holly apart is that she doesn’t just resort to one strategy to train a dog - she pivots to new ideas if the initial approach doesn’t work. For example, when training my dog to not jump at other dogs on walks, Holly had the creative idea to sit 25 yards from a PetSmart entrance and practice “leave it” so my dog could practice disengaging with other dogs from afar.In regards to service dog training, Holly has an empathetic and motivated approach to ensuring both dog and handler work well together. I felt very comfortable communicating with her about everything.

1390 Nogal Dr, SalinasI got the birra torta here and two tacos al pastor. The tacos were good but the torta was surprisingly delicious upon first bite due to the quality of the birria. The overall taste profile at this location is balanced and deep, meaning it is well-seasoned and flavorful without being excessive or greasy. It is food that can be eaten every day without feeling overloaded. It is also at a very nice location next to a park and lots of trees.
I randomly met the owner one day prior at an unrelated place, and I can see that there is a reason he confidently invited me to try his food, where his lovely wife operates the business and cooking! It is because he knows he can deliver a great food experience! Through word of mouth, I know that I am not the only one who liked the torta here.
There is quite an extensive menu, and I will definitely be back to try more items. I highly recommend the birria. Overall a great spot!

The pizza is so good and has a good crust, it isn't soggy, and has the right amount of sauce, cheese and toppings. Pizza is not greasy. The price is reasonable and the gentleman is very pleasant on the phone and in person when picking up the pizza. I highly recommend this place if you are craving a delicious pizza!

We o my tried the pastries and they were delicious. I ordered the strawberry croissant and I highly recommend. Éclair was delicious however it was a bit too dry. Will definitely be back..
