“While building a bike the service and attention to detail was super solid. Mike did a fantastic job as we negotiated all the options and kept me aware of progress. Chris, fit me on my bike and initially it was a bit uncomfortable, however, some of my little pains went away and now I really like the position. Great bike shop!”
“Just bought a new aventon Level four REC Large and matte black
What impressed me the most was the bicycle technician
Made sure everything was working properly
Adjusted the derailerMultiple times Until it was just right
He explained to me the different fundamentals on how the bike works
I was really impressed
I went to the cashier to pay. They gave me the 10% discount which was a great savings.
Also, I donated to a charity and that made me feel really good
Nothing bad to say only good things
Highly recommend you guys
Thank you
Robert Schmidt”
“After buying the products I said to my wife, “I will drive two hours from Sacramento to get my products from the guy who was working there because of his professional and kindness.” Best customer service experience ever. Super patient and informative. Thank you”
“This place was a find during my recent US visit.
I was looking for stability shoes , Gel Kayano 31 in particular. I wasn’t able to find my required specifications in other stores and that was when I stumbled upon this place.
The owner ( sorry, I didn’t get your name!!) was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and clearly passionate about his work. He very patiently did my foot scan, and then made me try and walk in different shoes with different widths and helped me choose my Gel Kayano 32 ( more than a month before they were due in the company stores).
I must say, the whole experience was extremely satisfying and I am sure to visit next time when I am in Bay Area. Thank you for all your help!!”
“Excellent establishment, Jim was very helpful and knowledgeable with the show fitting to find what would work best for me. I appreciated the help and he was very patient.”
“Was kindly welcomed Christopher who took all the necessary measurements for perfectly fitted running shoes. Vladimir was also very professional and super lovely. I am a beginner runner, I need wide shoes and I am new to Road Runner Sports, he explained everything to me in great details. The VIP Family Rewards Membership was a good option. The 90-day perfect fit guarantee is very reassuring. I am impressed by this shop, its assortment and recommend it.”
“Sadly, I didn't get any photos inside the store, but we received *amazing* service and ended up purchasing several pairs of shoes for the whole family!
The staff was incredibly helpful, patient, and informative. Alex, in particular, asked a lot of questions about how often we hike and knew a lot of detailed specifications that helped my info-hungry husband make a decision.
Thank you to the staff member who showed me the other color options for the new Jasper MJ and spent extra time with me going over all the cute women's footwear. We've been a KEEN family for a long time, so it was a treat to visit the Garage 🤗”
“I walked in and was greeted by Jesus, he was very helpful and knowledgeable. I explained how I am trying to get back into soccer after 8 years and he helped me buy football boots, shin guards, socks, training ball and a pump. Very helpful, highly recommend to everyone.”
“Loved my visit, went in for a propane swap, walked out excited with two Exped sleeping mats. Lia was amazing in walking me through the products and pointing out features that makes each product unique, demonstrating best practices and tricks that will save me time and frustration when I’m out in the wild. Super courteous staff all around, talked with 5 of them, each energized and smooth. Will for sure visit again when next adventure knocks”
“AMAZING STORE!!! I wish I wouldve gotten the name of the kind lady that helped me; she was extremely knowledgeable and knew right away what would help and suit me. Gave me plenty of helpful options. Might become my new sports spot. She also allowed me to lap a few times to see how the fit and on-action use would be. Unbelievable service !!!”

“Great spot to play cricket—there are five practice lanes, and it was a lot of fun going with friends. The shop owner was super kind and even let us use a bat and ball for free.”
“I've ordered rackets and strings from their website. Deliveries took some time since I live on the east coast. But I've received everything no problem and continue to recommend this shop to my tennis teams.”
“Very great customer service! I was struggling with the fit of my shoes so I went in to this store without having been here before. I appreciated how the advice was tailored for me and wasn't just an immediate recommendation to buy something! I definitely would come back here again to buy my next pair of shoes.”
“Great coaches and team spirit at Bay to Bay! It’s a good place to get started with volleyball and continue to grow, with lots of options for different levels and styles of play (beginner to highly competitive/advanced, indoor/outdoor). I recommend checking it out!”

“The owner of the shop is incredibly chill and knowledgeable. Helped me get a perfect longboard setup, even though the boards come as complete sets, he let me swap out some wheels and bearings and the prices were super reasonable. Also, if you're looking for the Baker Tim Robinson board, they have a few of the cosmic gumbo and the hotdog one, as of yesterday-just gotta ask about them!
(Just a note this is an old review so idk about the Baker boards, but still a fantastic shop!)”
“Charlie Rose is amazing!
Jake goes above and beyond every time we come in. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Jake was able to get my son’s gloved relaced so fast before the weekend.”
“I'm a bad tennis player, and know next to nothing about gear. So when I started talking to Greg (owner), I'm sure he knew immediately that he could take advantage of me. However, he came up with a really reasonable set of services to get me back into the game - showing that, not only does he know A LOT about tennis and gear, but he's also a good person. I really like supporting these types of businesses, where it's a well run shop and the staff are there to support customers.”

“I popped by to do a late return and not only were the staff accommodating (purchased in Dec 2025!), she was really warm and friendly too.
Sorry I didn’t catch her name but she was a fairly tall Asian lady.
Patagonia always delivers great customer service!”
“Very specialized shoe store. They don't have the typical walking and sports brands you hear about. If you either work in the medical industry, or you have a specific medical condition though, you will have heard some of them. Everything here is top-notch!”
“Just walked in right after work and was immediately greeted by a gentleman in a cap as well as travis, who exceptionally knowledgeable in the boot inventory you guys offer. Will definitely be coming back for an Irish Setter :)”
“Leigh is an awesome coach! Easy to get along with, and provides great insights that deliver results. There may be 10 things wrong with my swing, but each lesson he'll prioritize the 1-2 high-impact things I should focus on. In the first 2 lessons, I went from inconsistently hitting fat and thin shots to getting consistent ball strike, which I had never been able to do before! He uses slow-motion video capture to analyze your swing, identify issues, recommend solutions, and explains the theory behind it very well.I look forward to my regular sessions with Leigh - getting the coaching, practicing on the driving range, and seeing my game improve over time!”

“A little note of appreciation for a truly special place my wife and I visited recently in Japantown, San Jose.
We stopped into Nichi Bei Bussan, and it turned out to be far more than just a shop. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed—and almost immediately, a young man working there greeted us with a smile and handed us a small origami figure. Such a simple, thoughtful gesture, and it perfectly set the tone for the visit.
The store itself is wonderful: Japanese groceries, teas, ceramics, stationery, paper goods, gifts, and beautifully curated traditional items you don’t often see anymore. It feels calm, authentic, and quietly joyful to browse.
What makes Nichi Bei Bussan truly special, though, is the history behind it. The shop traces its roots back to 1902, when it was founded in San Francisco by Shojiro Tatsuno, serving the Japanese immigrant community. The Tatsuno family endured the 1906 earthquake, the forced internment of Japanese Americans during World War II, and the long road of rebuilding afterward. In 1948, Shojiro’s son Dave Tatsuno reopened the family business in San Jose’s Japantown, where it has remained ever since. Today, the store continues under the care of the next generation, including Arlene Tatsuno Damron, carrying forward a legacy of culture, resilience, and community.
Knowing that history—and then experiencing such genuine kindness in person—made our visit feel deeply meaningful. We left not just with a few lovely items, but with smiles and a sense of having touched a living piece of Japanese-American history.
If you’re ever in Japantown San Jose, do yourself a favour and stop by Nichi Bei Bussan. It’s not just a shop—it’s warmth, history, and humanity all under one roof.”
“We had exceptional assistance with some items we wanted to change (for smaller sizes) after receiving them as gifts. They had good suggestions if they did not have the exact item in stock.”
“These guys are the best! Sharks Pool Tables has been taking care of my pool table since 2020, and they’ve been incredible every step of the way.
I had to move twice during COVID, and they were always there to help with disassembly and setup. When I decided to upgrade to Simonis felt, they did an amazing job. Then we moved again, and once again they set everything up perfectly.
Most recently, I had water damage in my home and tried moving the table myself—which was a mistake. I pushed it too hard and snapped the legs, and I was sure the table was beyond repair. I called Sharks Pool Tables, and they completely came through. They replaced the legs, installed new pockets, and reassured me the entire time. Danny personally told me it would be fixed, and he was right.
They called ahead before arriving, told me the job would take two hours, showed up at 11 a.m., and were completely finished by 1 p.m. I can’t say enough about how grateful I am for this team. My table looks amazing, and I’m so proud of it again.”
“Have been coming here for the last 4 years to get names put on jerseys for my son's hockey team. They do an amazing job each time. The store is neat and organized as well and the staff is ready to help with any questions I have had. I don't play volleyball but they have all the gear needed there and a whole bunch of other cool apparel. Great job guys the kids are going to love the jerseys.”
“I dropped a hundred dollar bill on the ground and the two people working found it and gave me a call after I left the store. Very honest employees and filled with integrity.”
“Bullseye seems to be a LGS that is somewhat recommended for PPT in the South Bay and today is the first time I've been there. It's surprisingly busy for a small store but then almost all the LGS can be somewhat busy. The plaza is very small and parking can be difficult. Also be careful when you back out because you have to back out into the main street.
The store is not very big and it's mostly catered towards newer guns as it has a small used/consignment section.
People are nice enough and they didn't quell when you do PPT there. They don't charge extra for PPT but they do charge 3% extra for credit card.
I found the price of the guns there to be slightly expensive so I wouldn't say this is a good place for deals. The form you fill out for DROS is online and you do it on your phone with a QR code. It's pretty cool but can be hard if you have a small phone.”

“Getting our first tuxedos was a big milestone for my brother and I, something we'd looked forward to for years. The garments were everything we hoped they would be. Thank you!
Jim, Faisal and Alex were able to accomodate all of our exacting details, fabric and fit requests. Whether you prefer modern vs traditional styling, or something as niche as matching fabrics across your lapels and cummerbund with that hard-to-find bowtie of sentimental value, they have you covered. As always, it was a pleasure to collaborate.
Last but not least, at least from the experience of family and friends who've shopped here over the decades, Jim & Faisal make a point of remembering you by name when you walk into the store. If you want quality clothing with a personal touch, there aren't many places left like Eli Thomas.”
“Great place for non-dainty bras.
If they don’t have your size in stock they’ll cheerfully drop ship to your address within a few days if you’re in the Bay Area- they ship out of Richmond.”
“Nice little badminton shops. They have an extensive collection of rackets and the owner is pretty friendly and receptive when it comes to answering any questions you may have. Pricing is pretty standard. I don't think you're going to get a bargain here, but you certainly won't be miffed either.”
