My young month pup has been there twice now and she hated baths! but the experience and professionalism of the staff and groomers have really helped her to get use to this!! They have been very gentle and we luv the cuts for our little one! Thank you!

Alpha Grooming Pet Salon
1325 Howard Ave, BurlingameOnline scheduling is easy. Sometimes the groomers get stuck in traffic so scheduling with a flexible window has worked for me. Newton did a great job grooming my anxious dog & was friendly and a good communicator (re: ETA, etc.). Recommended :)

Burlingame Family Pet Hospital
1808 Magnolia Ave, BurlingameThe entire staff at Burlingame Family Pet Hospital are fantastic. Dr. Dorothy Hoppe is the best. She is not only a great doctor but takes the time to get to know not only your pet, but you. She listens, a rare quality among doctors of any type. The rest of the doctors are much the same. The administrative staff are always kind and helpful. I recommend this place highly.

Park & Howard Bistro
1300 Howard Ave, BurlingameHeld a group dinner for 14 here on a Friday. The process for booking, menu selection, etc., were all very professional and easy. Great menu options, flexible re food allergies, and the room was lovely - if too tight for the cocktail/ circulating hor d'oeuvres concept. People clustered in the 4 corners of the room and didn't have room to really mingle. Considering it was a relatively big group, the food was quite good (though duck was a bit tough & scallops were disappointingly small - not succulent).I would come again. Conundrum is that the minimum was high for our group, so I'd book again for a larger group, but the room would be really too tight for more than, say, 16 people.

1223 Donnelly Ave, BurlingameA very low key, casual afternoon tea spot. Did the afternoon tea for 3 ($75, $100 after tax & tip) here!Comes with 2 pots of tea, salad, 3 scones, 3 types of sandwiches sliced into triangles, 3 madeleines and cookies. The sandwiches were delicious (we tried the tuna, egg, and chicken salad sandwich) and filling. Friendly staff :)

Le Croissant Cafe
1151 Broadway, BurlingameLove this coffee shop. It is family owned. Seems many are regular. The owner is nice. It is a small shop which serves coffee, pastries and regular american breakfast like egg and sandwich. It has indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered almost croissants and latte. Price is reasonable and it is cheaper than other coffee shops. The croissant is yummy and fluffy. The latte is good and light. Will visit again and try the sandwich.

Palmetto Superfoods
225 Primrose Rd, BurlingameI love this Palmetto location. It's super close to a few workout studios and is the perfect post-gym snack! I never craved acai bowls unless I was in Hawaii, but that mindset changed when I came across Palmetto. I believe they plan on expanding rapidly in the coming years, so hopefully quality stays the same. The Burlingame location is my go to as it's pretty close to home and convenient to get to. I would recommend order via the app because there's only one self-order kiosk in the store and it can take a while if it's busy. The only downfall is that you can't access some discounts (primarily the healthcare worker discount) via the app. My orders have always been ready on time...but communication can be a little hit or miss at this store. I recently had a mishap with the app and popped in prior to my workout/an hour before my pick-up time to ensure that the correct order got made. I spoke with one employee who assured me that she would convey the message. When I returned to pick up the mobile order, I decided to check my bowls prior to leaving to make sure that the mistake was corrected. Thankfully I did because I found out that message did not get passed on as promised.

Caffe Central
1380 Burlingame Ave, BurlingameThe food and pastries were really good, I’d definitely recommend. There are many options to choose from, I am sure everyone will find something they like.My only complaint is that the place is too popular, therefore crowded. Too many people are waiting in line, all tables are occupied, the place is loud and not cosy at all

Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA Adoption Center
1450 Rollins Rd, BurlingameNot a shelter, but a five star hotel for cats. Super clean, super organized, and super friendly staff.Allie helped us, she was super amazing and patient with us. She stayed with us even after closing time just to help us finish the paperwork. She went through every little detail with us, and for that we’re super grateful. The adoption fee is nothing honestly. The cats are neutered/spayed, vaccinated, with health checkups. If you’re a cat owner, you know how expensive these things are. Yet, it was only $120.Anyways, Harry found a new home with us and we gave him a new name, Lychee ?
