Pet Grooming

Pet Parlor (formerly Heidi's Dog Grooming)
2423 Old Middlefield Way, Mountain ViewAmazingl I take my very traumatized rescue and our long time senior dog, and Toni is gentle, nurturing, and the dogs return home happy (NOT my experience with other groomers). My grooming averse dog (now passed) used to jump up on her leg and kiss her on the way out. I take my dogs with confidence, knowing they will be loved up and handled with care and respect.

Country Pet Wash
1764 Miramonte Ave Unit B, Mountain ViewMy little doggie has been looking AMAZING ever since I started bringing him to Amanda. She is truly the best groomer I’ve had in years. After struggling with so many bad grooming experiences (and even trying to do it myself… which did not go well!), finding Amanda has been the best thing that’s happened to us. If you want your pup to look their absolute most handsome, just go to Amanda. She’s a gem!

Citydog! Club
1980 W El Camino Real suite b, Mountain ViewWe have been a regular customer for my two furry babies for the last 3 years. The team is consistently reliable and helpful. Carolyn who is the manager there is the best. She is always willing to assist and takes wonderful care of my dogs. Ex: one of my dogs eats too fast but we forgot to let them know, and she noticed and make sure feed her separately and even used slow eater. She remembers which dogs my dogs goes along with and which don't and accommodate for them. Beau and Bella are always happy to spend the day there. +their camera system is recently updated and I can watch my dogs anytime of the day except night time

Pet Care

MedVet Mountain View
601 Showers Drive, Mountain ViewOne of the only sites in my area able to provide immediate care to pets. Everytime I've had an emergency with my cat, I could always rely on MedVet. Very friendly and professional staff and while treatment times can take awhile it's because they prioritize who needs care the most. Can't recommend this vet enough if ever there's an emergency.

Pathways To Healing Animal
350 Franklin St, Mountain ViewDr Lina is amazing. She is extremely empathetic and very skilled Vet and great at what she does. Also she answers all your questions and a great conversationIist. With deep sadness our 15 1/2 year warrior dog passed recently, but her accupuncture did wonders on getting him better, his mobility improved and started to slowly walk without a sling and on leesh. If he was younger and we tried alternate treatments earlier maybe the outcome would have been different, that being said our lovely angel lived a full life and we are eternally blessed. For getting him better and him passing on a good day rather than a bad day, we are extremely thankful and grateful to Dr. Lina . If your dog has mobility and neurological issues, alternate treatments as additional modalities do work such as accupuncture as well as reducing pain. I was a sceptic at first but I know this first hand to be true. I am not saying get rid of your Primary vet, we did not but the addition of accupuncture definitely helps noticebly. For a vet who preforms accupuncture she is definitely the one to go to. Thank you Dr. Lina, I will now schedule an acupuncturist for myself as you recommended. Wish you the best in 2024 and on your runs.

Pet Sitting & Training

The Pup School
333 Escuela Ave #212, Mountain ViewWe cannot recommend Dan enough. He's the best they come. He teaches *us* how to train our dog rather than focusing on directly training our dog himself, which is 100x more effective because we're with our pup every day, and Dan isn't (though we wish he could be!). Dan is incredibly effective, supportive, knowledgeable, and generous. We referred him to a friend who also only had glowingly positive things to say. Thank you Dan!!!! So glad to be working with you.

Pet Sitting To The MAX
1510 W El Camino Real, Mountain ViewOur dog Zephyr loves going there. The first time she was a little hesitant and had never been to a dog daycare but after being there one day she gets excited when we pull into the parking lot and has a great time. After a day there she comes home tired and sleeps through the night even though she's still an active puppy. So it's great for her to get some exercise and socialization too. Great experience.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

The Midwife and the Baker
846 Independence Ave, Mountain ViewI quickly stopped by this neighborhood bakery, which is more of a small, shack-style spot. There isn’t really space to sit and enjoy your food — it’s clearly designed mainly for takeout. The place is very well reviewed with a high rating, so I decided to check it out. Parking was easy enough on the street right in front.
I picked up a ham and cheese croissant and a cardamom bun (cardamom croissant). They don’t seem to serve coffee — at least there was no option for it when I visited — so it’s more about grabbing pastries rather than lingering with a drink. They also offer a nice variety of artisanal breads and traditional breakfast pastries, all of which looked fresh and well made.
The ham and cheese croissant was good, though nothing particularly stood out — but that may be because I’ve had some exceptional versions elsewhere. The cardamom pastry was also solid, but again, I’ve had outstanding cardamom buns in New York City, so my standards are admittedly high.
Update: returned again. The danish was really delish and the bread is good too.

Garden Fresh
1245 W El Camino Real, Mountain ViewGarden Fresh is a fabulous VEGAN restaurant with a great selection! Our favorites are the Szechuan Eggplant, the Basil Tempura, and the Scallion pancakes. We also love the Hot & Sour soup and the Corn & Tofu chowder! The owners are lovely! They cook & serve all the food themselves and are completely delightful & attentive. Highly recommend!

Cheztakos!!!
323 El Camino Real, Mountain ViewSo good, high-quality, and fresh. I ordered two steak burritos with everything. The salsas are insanely delicious and spicy. The steak has an almost Argentinian asado fire-pit-style flavor. I love it. I loved the sweet, grilled onions and Serrano peppers that came as a side. Thank you guys for committing to making a great meal.

Boba Bliss
685 San Antonio Rd Suite 15, Mountain ViewI'm going to be honest--this boba is fine. It's standard. It got the job done. The bubbles had the right amount of chewiness. Drink wasn't overly sweet (I asked for 20%-ish.) Service was fine. There's some seating inside, but not much.

Mediterranean Grill House
650 Castro St UNIT 110, Mountain ViewI'm a regular, and should have left a review long ago. Food is great. Service is attentive and friendly. I've enjoyed everything I tried. The falafel is wonderful - crispy (not hard) outside and fluffy inside. One of my favorites is the Falafel Wrap with Eggplant. The Chicken Shawarma is tender, juicy, and flavorful. Sides like hummus and babaganoush are very good. Once I took a selection of milk cakes to a book club, and everyone loved them. Make sure you try the wonderful Yemeni teas and coffees. Often we will order a pot of tea for the table. My friends who grew up with this cuisine claim MG is authentic and good,

Pho Anh
175 E El Camino Real Ste-C, Mountain ViewI had bun bo hue here on two separate occasions and both were wonderful! They are a very clean establishment and their hospitality was wonderful. I'm grateful to have a great choice near the hospital if I'm craving some BBH. The BBH had the right amount of noodles and meat. They made the meat very easy to eat--tendons are very tender, the beef cuts are wonderful and not rubbery. Although I really like pork hock in my BBH, I felt like I was not missing out. I also really love their sate (savory, umami, and spicy)! I would love to go back whenever I get the chance. You will not regret coming here!

Savvy Cellar Wine Bar
750 W Evelyn Ave, Mountain ViewWow! What an experience! This is a truly special bar.
I walked in as someone who didn’t like red wine, and left as a true convert after being guided to exceptional wines, by the extremely knowledgeable owner Manny. Every wine Manny suggested absolutely hit the mark, with my two favourites being a red 2021 Koncha & Co sweet Saperavi from Georgia, and a white Koncha & Co Kisi.
The atmosphere is really cosy and welcoming. Hours will disappear here as it’s so relaxing.
Highly recommend and will be back next weekend!
Oh and the cheese board was Amazing too.

Crepevine Restaurants
300 Castro St, Mountain ViewCame with group of people, ordered sweet & savory crepes. Flavor is great! Delicious! Much better than few thats located in Sacramento. Ordered Bombay & Pataya These crepes have everything, touch of greens, perfect sauce, perfectly cooked choice of meat. Also side potatoes were exceptionally delicious, perfectly seasoned. Also service was great, they arranged tables for our big group and were friendly and welcoming, great service! Not sure why they only have 4.3 Rating. Definitely recommend!

Udon Mugizo
180 Castro St, Mountain ViewWe met some friends for lunch, they say this is their favorite for noodles. We got seated right away, we ordered tempura appetizers as well as 4 different soups. I tried Tonkatsu Udon, the textures were very nice, I wished it could have been a hotter broth. Perhaps after adding a cool-ish topping, it cools down the broth. Also tried the Mentai Cream Sauce Udon. It was creamy with a seafood taste, I think we are use to broth-y udon styles. The tempura was nice and crispy, it also came with a side of ginger and daikon to add to the dipping sauce. Service was welcoming and efficient.
