Pet Food Express
3916 Bel Aire Plaza, NapaI have been a loyal shopper at Pet Food Express in Napa since I moved here over a decade ago. In large part due to the excellent customer service I’ve received from Joe, who I believe is the store manager. He is wonderful and very knowledgeable. Today I was in to purchase a cat tower and Ava took superb care of me. She went above and beyond, even carrying the cat tree to my car to make sure it would fit it my backseat. Thank you very much, Ava. What an awesome team at this store. ?? ??

Camp Rawhide
1452 Silverado Trail, NapaMy young pup had to stay for 6 weeks while I recovered from emergency gall bladder surgery. My son had to find a place quickly as he couldn't take our puppy as he doesn't have any yard space and is renting with others in the city. Paul, the gentleman we dealt with, takes care of all the dogs. He is wonderful. Our dig had a great time. We've been back and she loved it!!

Silverado Veterinary Hospital
2035 Silverado Trail, NapaSilverado isn't the cheapest veterinary hospital / clinic, nor is it the most expensive, not by a long shot. However, if you want elite pet care from staff that actually care about your pet, this is where you should bring them.I've had all of my pets taken care of here since we moved here. We did try 3 other vets and were very disappointed in everyone else's level of care. I would recommend Silverado Veterinary Hospital as the place to bring your pets foot their care.

Napa Small Animal Hospital
517 Lincoln Ave, NapaDr Mary, Dr Lester and Dr Dyson are top notch vets at Napa Small Animal Hospital. Convenient, good techs, fair prices, always insightful options offered. The only issue is that when short staffed they can be hard to get an appt with (which is frustrating w/a sick pet), but hopeful they are staffed up now as last appt was very easy to secure.

Napa West Pet Hospital
2999 Solano Ave, NapaTook my dog in on an emergency basis. Got in immediately. Vet was thorough and caring. I was expecting a huge bill but it was actually reasonable. They do seem to have issues with their office staff as I could hear them loudly arguing but hopefully they get that part resolved.

Pet Sitting & Training
Bonny Doone Kennel
1003 Los Carneros Ave, NapaThis kennel was recommended by our vet, Dr. Mary (ret.) of Napa Small Animal Hospital, at least 5 yrs ago. I have been taking my dogs here ever since. My experience with the owner and staff has been great. They provide updates when I call and are very understanding when I call multiple times a day to check on my dogs. The facility is always clean and I never have to worry about my dogs being placed in unsafe situations as they don’t allow pets from other households to interact with your own. This is for the safety of the pets and is the main reason why I have continued to choose this kennel over others. They also use my preferred vet, Napa Small Animal Hospital, so I feel confident leaving my dogs behind knowing that they’ll be cared for by great doctors should they need it. If you’re looking for a reputable, clean, and safe kennel with professional staff, then I highly recommend checking out Bonny Doone Kennel.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
Croccante Artisan Pizza
976 Pearl St, NapaGot to make my first visit here a couple weeks ago. What a fabulous little spot. It’s tucked in a quiet spot at the edge of the downtown area. The venue and the staff are so inviting and welcoming. We had a rather large group, and the owner was quick to help pull tables together and get us taken care of. I love seeing a staff that pays attention to details. We felt so well cared for!As for pizza, I shared a Detroit style and had a glass of rose. I wish the aioli had been on the side, but no big complaints. When some of my friends got their thin-crust, tavern-style pizza, I got jealous. It all looked and tasted so great!I’ll definitely be back!

Be Bubbly Napa Valley
1407 2nd St, NapaI’m here in Napa celebrating my birthday and had a tasting booked, the week before my tasting I got a call and Stephanie apologized that they’d be closed for renovations but would reach out to a neighboring tasting room to see if they would hold our tasting which we agreed. We then heard from Scott who let us know the details of our tasting location right across the street. Upon arrival at Gambling McDuck Scott greeted us and our tasting began just before Erin stopped by our table to introduce herself as well. As a bubbles person the tasting did not disappoint as we told Scott we’d let him take the reigns of choosing our flight not only was the champagne amazing with getting to try a new champagne but I can’t say enough about how great Scott was we felt like we were just talking to an old friend while the next time I come to Napa I’ll try some different experiences I’ll definitely be back for BeBubbly!!

Tacos el Muchacho Alegre (Happy Boy)
751 Jackson St, NapaA solid 3 stars, up to 4 stars for value. The veggie burrito was heavy on the rice & iceberg and light on beans and grilled onions. It really lacked flavor. Carne asada wasn’t very flavorful. It was quick and inexpensive, however!

Trefethen Family Vineyards
1160 Oak Knoll Ave, NapaMy wife and I went here for a late afternoon tasting. We really enjoyed this place as it has a very old world Spanish feel to it. The gardens are stunning, and if you book ahead of time, and can do your tasting in the family home, it is well worth it. This venue have a 90 year old sequoia tree, beautiful flowering gardens, a well rounded veggie garden, beautiful fountains, and birds that are constantly chirping/singing. My wife and I did the cheese and wine tasting, but I know this venue also has a garden meal & tasting, which from looking around at our fellow wine goers, also looked very tasty. Great Experience, especially if you are an outdoor lover.

La Cheve Bakery and Brews
376 Soscol Ave, NapaCame in on a rainy Thursday morning, there was no wait. They took my order quickly, and the restaurant was decently filled up inside. They have a covered outdoor area with heaters, to help with cold and rain. My fave breakfast dish so far is the chile verde benedicto! Also recommend grabbing a pan dulce or pastry to enjoy with your coffee. Ambiance is homey, rustic and charming. Parking can be a bit challenging. Highly recommend!

68 S Coombs St L6, NapaWe took a group of about 20 to Vinoce a couple days ago, and I can’t only say that everyone should make the trip. Tim and Raymond were excellent hosts - taking the time to make the experience excellent for all, and the wines were delightful. A few in our group joined the club, and most everyone found something they wanted to take home. Can’t wait for the return visit.

RD Winery
3 Executive Way, NapaMy fiance and I were planning an overnight trip to Napa with our pet. I had initially planned to check out specific dog-friendly wineries, but we took our time leaving from the South Bay to Napa and didn't allot enough time to check those places out. Instead, I took a chance at looking into wineries by our hotel and hoped for the best. I did a google search of the area and found that RD Winery was a quick 4 minute drive from our hotel. A huge plus was that the winery was also one of the first stops off the main highway, so we didn't have to drive an extra 30 minutes for more popular spots. I was incredibly pleased with our time at RD Winery, and it ended up being the only winery we visited during our entire afternoon! We arrived at RD Winery around 4pm on a Saturday. The place wasn't busy at all, and we were informed that we had just missed a rush of people. This worked out to our favor, because it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. They were also very dog-friendly, and it was nice that my dog got plenty of space to roam while on leash. I did the chocolate and wine tasting, which I would HIGHLY recommend. It was such a sensory experience. I went home with a few wines because of their unique compositions. i.e. the reisling (sweet and citric), sauvignon blanc (crisp apple), veltliner (bitter tones), and zinfandel (spiciness?). I really understood the Vietnamese influences. The chocolates from Socola, a chocolatier by two Vietnamese sisters from SF, were amazing in their own right. The pho, durian, and guava chocolates were out of this world. The pho truffle was spot on with its brothy flavor. The durian white chocolate was fire, and I don't even like durian. The pâte de fruit of the guava truffle was juicy and flavorful.Lastly, the customer service and hospitality at RD Winery were exceptional. There were 4 employees during the time we were there, and they were all friendly and interactive. The staff member who walked us through our tasting was so professional and really flexed her knowledge about the wines and chocolates.
