1941 N Texas St, FairfieldKelly Palm DMV and staff continue to be the best at taking care of our animals. We moved to San Francisco 9’years ago. We continue to drive to CalWest because of Kelly Palm and staff. Kindness and expert care have been the hallmark of her practice. They go out of their way to help in a crisis, to find solutions and get everything in place. Hard decisions are made with expert care and a lot of grace. My pets have flourished under her care.Much gratitude to Kelly Palm DVM, CalWest and the entire staff.

More Photo 1 in review by James Riordan Photo 2 in review by James Riordan 1 Jason Frankl Local Guide·71 reviews·88 photos just now NEW The Vets were great, the office staff were mostly great, one person was not, she ruined my experience here. I think this person was perhaps an office manager or something, she didn't introduce herself to me so I can only assume.... Anyways, here's what happened today.... I brought my dog in to have an ultrasound. I had previously discussed this over the phone with the vet. I was under the impression that a abdomen and chest ultrasound would cost around $500 to $600. When I dropped my dog at the vet this morning for this ultrasound I assumed that that was still accurate. When I picked her up they had done an abdomen and neck ultrasound instead which I totally understand.... in the moment you gotta do what you got to do, that's not a problem, I used to work in the hospital so I get that things change as you start looking for and discovering things etc What I don't understand is that when I asked the office staff to explain the price difference to me they sent out this person who was talking down to me, being condescending and rude with her words and her tone. She was referring to my wife as "confused" and also said "do you need to call her, did she not understand what the vet said," making me feel like somehow I'm the bad guy and that maybe my wife is dumb, or at least they think she is. Funny thing, after I checked with my wife, she said she never talked to the vet and never discussed pricing when the staff called to say Maddy was ready to be picked up. Also... this person was trying to put some paper in my hand showing "an estimate" that they had just created, an estimate that we never saw previously or signed, which means that paper had no actual meaning to it at all, so I wouldn't take it from her... She was being a little rude the whole time and when I said to her, and I quote , "I don't know why you're talking to me that way it's really weird" she got defensive and then walked away without explaining anything any further about the pricing discrepancy. While I was waiting at the front desk to pay the $750, I heard this person in the background complaining to all the other staff in the office about our interaction which made me feel really uncomfortable. So, I just paid and left. I don't really know if I should ever return here because I'm worried that this person will find a way to

1941 N Texas St, FairfieldWe'd been looking for a clinic to take us in to save our rescue kitten. After desperately calling and visiting other clinics, we ended up going to the Cal West Pet Hospital. They were the ONLY people who showed interest in our poor kitten, and they took mercy on us. Unfortunately, our kitten had to go, but we're thankful to Dr. Jurberg and Dr. Palm for being honest and for helping us the best they could. We will definitely come back to visit them. Thank you Doctors and thank you to your wonderful staff.

Barney & Russum Animal Clinic
2255 Boynton Ave, FairfieldIt's hard to get a timely appt. because the vets are very good. Our vets for over 40 years! Recently decided to close on weekends. That meant bringing my dog for emergency treatment at UCD. Oy! Over $1000 !! Twice in 1 year! Thank goodness for pet insurance or we would be broke! Impossible to find any vet open on weekends. But Dr Russum is the best vet in Solano County so we are grateful when he is available.

Animal Hospital: Wolfe Amy DVM
200 Alaska Ave, FairfieldThank you, Animal Hospital in Fairfield, for your compassionate and gentle care given to our family and fur baby on short notice. Our dog usually receives care at this practice, but unfortunately, the first time our 14-year-old cat was here was when we had to decide to put him down. I called for an appointment, and the staff immediately treated me with kindness and compassion. They gave us multiple available same-day time slots and scheduling options. We chose the latest same-day appointment so it wouldn't be as busy. I'm sure everyone was tired and ready for the day to be over, but they didn't show it. We never once felt rushed through anything. Letting go was by far one of the most difficult decisions we had to make, but the staff made sure to guide us through the process and make it as comfortable as it could be. We will never forget the professional and compassionate care you provided to our best cuddle cat so that he was no longer in pain. Thank you for taking such good care of all of us.

Murphy's Canine B & B
2054 Falcon Ct, FairfieldWe boarded our golden doodle at Murphy's Canine B & B when we went on vacation. We were very nervous about leaving him for so long, but he had the time of his life. There were playmates every day, all day. He was not crated and had access to a big beautiful yard to play in. He was loved, petted, and cuddled the entire time. I don't think he had a chance to miss us at all. They sent pictures and videos. They were available everytime I text. I got updates on his daily activities, and was so comfortable leaving him there. It was like leaving him with family. He loved it there and I loved the attention all the furry babies got there. The B and B was a great find with two wonderful people running it. The doggies are never left alone. I love it.

Rock Creek Vineyard
4610 Grn Vly Rd, FairfieldOpen only a half day a week and we happened to drop in at the right time. I think this site says reservations only but that is not the case. I think they base it on the weather, but seems they are open Saturdays from about 1130 on. Super cute barn with great beam structure, lighting and ambiance. After walking thru to the far side of the bar, you can sit inside or head out to the vineyard and outdoor seating where they will serve you wine tasters as you finish the last. They had 4 they were tasting this day and I liked the Pinot Noir the best. Don't forget to enjoy the views from the vineyard while you are there. And make sure to chat with the owners who started the vineyard some 20 years ago as their retirement adventure. They are very sweet.
