I brought my dog in to have an ultrasound. I had previously discussed this over the phone with the vet. I was under the impression that a abdomen and chest ultrasound would cost around $500 to $600. When I dropped my dog at the vet this morning for this ultrasound I assumed that that was still accurate. When I picked her up they had done an abdomen and neck ultrasound instead which I totally understand.... in the moment you gotta do what you got to do, that's not a problem, I used to work in the hospital so I get that things change as you start looking for and discovering things etc What I don't understand is that when I asked the office staff to explain the price difference to me they sent out this person who was talking down to me, being condescending and rude with her words and her tone. She was referring to my wife as "confused" and also said "do you need to call her, did she not understand what the vet said," making me feel like somehow I'm the bad guy and that maybe my wife is dumb, or at least they think she is. Funny thing, after I checked with my wife, she said she never talked to the vet and never discussed pricing when the staff called to say Maddy was ready to be picked up. Also... this person was trying to put some paper in my hand showing "an estimate" that they had just created, an estimate that we never saw previously or signed, which means that paper had no actual meaning to it at all, so I wouldn't take it from her... She was being a little rude the whole time and when I said to her, and I quote , "I don't know why you're talking to me that way it's really weird" she got defensive and then walked away without explaining anything any further about the pricing discrepancy. While I was waiting at the front desk to pay the $750, I heard this person in the background complaining to all the other staff in the office about our interaction which made me feel really uncomfortable. So, I just paid and left. I don't really know if I should ever return here because I'm worried that this person will find a way to

Animal Hospital: Wolfe Amy DVM
200 Alaska Avenue, FairfieldThe staff is kind, efficient, patient and understanding. They treated our family cat with kindness and compassion. We had a consultation because our cat was weak and not eating or drinking enough and seemed to be getting worse pretty fast. We were given a recommendation for x rays and electrolytes. The bill was high, my mom needed help paying. It was closing time. We scheduled the X-rays and electrolytes for the next day. We took our cat home and he died early the next morning. It's nobody's fault, it was too late to save him I'm sure. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 stars is that I believe the vet, with all of his experience, could've told us that at that point our cat's condition was so bad that we should take him to an emergency clinic right away and plan to have him put to sleep or he might pass away at home. Instead, we noticed that a bigger emphasis was placed on the money being paid for the consultation and the x rays and electrolytes the next day. So I recommend to everybody, if your pet is fine and healthy, Animal Hospital is a good place to go for routine visits. But if your pet is in bad condition, please go to UC Davis Veterinary Hospital in Davis, CA. The 30 minute drive from Fairfield is worth it. Those students and their Veterinary teachers go above and beyond for the animals (I've taken my dogs there for years and they're amazing). Still, no bad feelings for Animal Hospital. We are grateful for their help despite the pain of losing our family cat. Thank you for reading

Solano-Napa Pet Emergency Clinic
4400 Central Place, FairfieldMy dog had a procedure on Tuesday and she was reasonably lethargic during the week, but Saturday she seemed to be under more distress than the day after her procedure. I was very concerned since her vet had already closed for the day. Fortunately Solano-Napa Pet ER Clinic was open that night. I was very pleased with how clean the facility was. The entire team was kind, friendly and professional which made me feel at ease. I want to especially recognize Merissa, Khalia, Anthony and Dr. Tarver for helping us out. They were able to assess my dog and offer her an additional pain medicine which really helped her.

She used positive-reinforcement methods based on Pavlov’s theory — the idea that dogs learn through association. In simple terms, when a dog does something right and immediately receives something positive, the behavior becomes stronger. Which is a really effective!
I still remember her teachings for example the “3 Ds” — distance, duration, and distraction.

My cousin and I arrived close to closing time, yet the team couldn't have been more welcoming. Caleb and Ron were exceptionally accommodating, knowledgeable, and patient. They took the time to explain the differences between table and wine grapes, shared the rich history of the Lanza family and the winery, and even gave us a quick walk-through of the winemaking process.
It was hands-down the best first-time tasting experience I’ve ever had. A huge thank you to Ron Lanza and the incredible staff for showing this Texas lady such warm hospitality. I cannot wait to visit again next time I’m in Northern California—and I’ll definitely be ordering some bottles shipped to Texas soon!

1635 Mason Rd, FairfieldGV Cellars has for many years been a family favorite winary in the Livermore Valley.On my recent visit I was saddened to learn that they could no longer provide tastings because the county demanded unconditional ADA compliance.Those who follow my reviews know I am a handicapped traveler seriously committed to appropriate access for visitors with disabilities. Prior to Covid the County had accepted GV Cellars had accepted their providing HC tasting in the ground floor barrel room or out side. For a historic agricultural facility, this is a perfectly reasonable approach. The County is now demanded demanding that they install a Grossl expensive elevator to the former second floor tasting room.As a retired federal ADA compliance officer and town Historical Preservation Commissioner I know that reasonable accommodations are well within the ADA. Let GV Cellars return to its excellent visitor experience.Fortunately visitors may still purchase their excellent wines on site and via their wine club.

Still giving this place 4 stars because 3 is too low a rating.
The appetizers were great, like many other reviews, was very happy with the karaage. Agedashi tofu was just okay, but the korean corn dog was a hit with the group as well as the panko shrimp.
I would like to try this place again, to see if maybe the broth was just off by chance, as we enjoyed everything else.
Wish it wasnt so cold in there also, maybe theres a way to adjust so the AC isnt blowing directly down at the tables.
