Furthermore I remember when they were at the west Oakland location.. it was so small. I’m happy they got a MUCH NEEDED upgrade in location and room. It’s so spacious and feels like a bank. “This is like a bank from another time, when men were men, and women were women, and little fuzzy things from Alpha Centauri were little fuzzy things from Alpha Centauri. It's like a bank from a movie where the director said "I need a cute little American Bank from the 1950s", and then the forgot to hire extras so every time the main character goes into the bank there are literally no other customers and everything gets done immediately by the friendly staff who have literally nothing else to do but take care of you personally. They even have their own little cute parking lot that always has a space. Really. I'm not making this up.”

“I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Teresa Ye and her manager at the Bank of America Chinatown branch in Oakland for their outstanding help and professionalism.
I originally purchased a cashier’s check in Katy, Texas for a permit application, which was later rejected. When I tried to recover the funds, I encountered significant difficulties. Customer service over the phone advised me to return to Texas to obtain the refund, which was not practical as I had already relocated to Oakland. I also visited two other Bank of America branches, but unfortunately, they were unable to assist and redirected me back to phone customer service.
My experience changed completely when I visited the Chinatown branch. The manager took the time to understand my situation and provided clear guidance to Teresa Ye on how to proceed. With their teamwork, patience, and expertise, the issue was finally resolved, and the refund was successfully credited back to my bank account.
I am truly grateful for their dedication, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile to help a customer. This branch reflects the very best of Bank of America’s customer service, and I highly recommend them.

“From the outside, the place looks kinda nondescript...almost kinda shabby. BUT once you go inside, it's really elegant. It's quite different in its set up from other banks. The tellers are all seated at desks. You have to see it for yourself. The manager's name is Zack. The new accounts lady is Greta. The place is very friendly. When I emailed or called, I would get an answer. They're very helpful & accomodating. They are not a big bank, but they take care of business.”
