“If we could rate higher than 5 stars, we would. Daniel is the owner of Mattress Store Pasadena and manned the store over Easter weekend when we wandered in. At first, I thought we'd just get some info, shop around later in more stores and compare prices online, then make a final decision in the summer when we actually need the bed. Instead, we walked out not only having purchased a new bed, but having one of the best retail experiences, feeling confident about our purchase and feeling fully taken care of. I'm normally skeptical of any pushy or shady sales tactics, but Daniel slowly and patiently won over my trust. He is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced with what he's selling, and really took his time explaining each option, giving us tips on how to best shop and feel for mattresses in stores. He wanted us to make the right decision based on needs and price, and never did we feel pressured or sold to. Instead, it felt more like getting a unbiased lesson on how to choose a bed and how to sleep well. When appropriate, he voluntarily left the store and gave us space to discuss privately. The top notch experience did not end once he got the sale. He was incredibly flexible with post-purchase leading up to the delivery. 2 months after our purchase when we called to get the delivery scheduled, he was able to recall exactly what we purchased and action it straight away. He went out of his way to get the bed delivered for us over the 4th of July holiday weekend. All of the above felt so personal and a giant step beyond any uniform push to make a profit. Finally, the purchase itself: I personally hated Tempur-pedic products and they've had a bad rep, but in working with Daniel (instead of being sold to), over the course of this experience, we ended up buying a Tempurpedic ProAdapt. I've waited a month to write the review as it takes time to experience a new bed. Everything Daniel advised was indeed true. This is one the best beds we've ever had and we have had improved sleep and posture thanks to Daniel's help. We really can't recommend this store and Daniel enough, and wholeheartedly advise you go to him if you need a new bed, or want better sleep.”

“What a dream. I had a very uncomfortable couch bed and I didn't realize it until a very honest guest told me it was the worst night's sleep he never had so I knew I had to get a bed, but I didn't have much room because my guestroom is very small. I went to Wallbeds n More in Pasadena just down the street from my house. It was very expensive so I decided not to get it and I got another very uncomfortable bed. After a second complaint and my cat scratching the hell out of the couch bed, I decided it was time to invest in a nice bed. I saved my money, and I finally was able to get a chest bed. It looks like a nice chest, but it opens up into a beautiful memory foam queen size bed! Stephanie was amazing and helpful as was Norma. They put up with my two years of dillydallying and I'm so glad that I finally got it. My first guest said it was very comfortable. And it looks beautiful in my office/guestroom.”

“My friends recommended me this company, because I needed to completely renovate my old chair. I went to this company, and I am happy that I did so! They did a great job with refurbishing the wood, that was in a really rough shape, and completely redid all the insides. When I saw my basically new chair, I could not believe my eyes that it was my old chair! I get incredible joy from looking at my chair, and I want to sit in it any moment I get! Very friendly staff who goes above and beyond to find the product that's right for you. If you are not entirely satisfied with a purchase, they are more than happy to accommodate by offering other options or refund. No pressure shopping environment with informed employees to introduce you to the latest and greatest seating and relaxing products that will boost productivity and be salubrious to to your health. Stop by and experience for yourself. We need more brick and mortar establishment like this. Highly recommended.”

“I bought an expensive and beautiful Bradington-Young motorized recliner at Fedde’s in October of 2020. I enjoyed every moment I had the chair until it stopped working two and a half years later. Compounding the problem was that I had moved to Colorado Springs. I made several calls locally trying to get the chair serviced and I was getting nowhere. Suffice it to say, I felt like I was getting the run-around and this was really frustrating given the price of the chair.A local Colorado Springs dealer for Bradington-Young told me I needed to deal with the retailer who sold the chair in order to obtain warranty coverage. I called Fedde and spoke with a manager. He was very concerned about the run-around and he said he would fix the situation the next day. The next day I received an email from Mark Fedde himself. He asked for some identifying information off the chair. I took photos of the motor and sent them to him. He personally dealt with Brandington-Young. A new motor was with Fed Ex within days. Fedde's covered the shipping cost.In addition to having perhaps the nicest collection of American furniture available anywhere, Fedde’s subscribes to old-school standards of customer service and ethics. They are total class. I will miss having Fedde’s down the street. They are a Pasadena classic, and I will always cherish everything I bought there over the years.”

“I had a really large wood art piece that I shipped from Chicago to CA via UPS. The piece was damaged (broke in half) during shipping. I contacted a number of wood workers about the piece but John was the only guy I actually trusted to do the work. I have high expectations when it comes to workmanship and quality. John seemed to actually give an interest in the damages and discuss possible repair options. Great communication! The piece has been in the family for many years and I wanted it repaired good as new. I couldn't have been happier with the work he did. It took less than a week to finish and it looked absolutely fabulous. I look forward to the opportunity to be able to use John again in the future for any wood work I need done.”

“Since I miss the store Tuesday Morning, which left California, someone told me to try Home Goods. There are many similar products such as gourmet chocolate and coffee, interesting personal items and accessories.This location was busy at this time of year and a little messy, but staff was restocking and rearranging.They had a nice selection of gift food items, soaps, candles and lotions. The pretty stationery items I used to get at Tuesday Morning were sparse here.I will have to return after the holidays when it will probably not be as busy to see what the store contains.”

“Restoration Hardware is totally an "aspirational" furniture and home-wares store. As soon as you enter you are confronted with gorgeous textiles, incredibly comfortable couches and lounge chairs that, within minutes, you could easily fall asleep in. In simple terms, their home wares are beautiful and comfortable. But that beauty and comfort do come with price tags that reflect that beauty and comfort. Now, to be fair, RH is one of the few furniture/decor stores I've been in where the furniture is clearly built to a) last and b) be extremely comfortable. I've visited this store many times and I have never received even a glance of annoyance. And I think that is very intentional. They want you to know that their store carries quality. And even if you can't afford to buy it TODAY, you might very well think about it again in the future when you have more expendable income. If you walk into this store (actually, showroom since only small things like blankets can be taken home directly from RH) with around 5 to 7 thousand dollars, you can expect to have your customized sofa delivered in a week or two. And it will be beautiful. And likely the most comfortable piece of furniture in your home. Is it worth several months' rent or a couple mortgage payments? That's for you to decide. I mentioned that I've never been treated poorly for enjoying the uber-comfortable furniture for ten minutes. Additionally the employees have treated me the same whether I'm in a t-shirt and running shorts or tailored slacks and a blazer. Anytime I've had a question they've seemed genuinely eager to help. And I've bought some lovely (small) gifts for my mother here. And while the merchandise is on the pricey side, you are not just buying a label. The merchandise both looks AND feels expensive. My only real complaint is I don't yet have enough money to buy actual furniture here. Yet.”

“I'm noticing a lot of years old reviews on this site that aren't every good. We bought a number of pieces from them more recently (2024) and had an excellent experience. The sales team was knowledgeable and really worked with us to accommodate our delivery needs because we were in construction. We bought multiple things over multiple visits to the store and had excellent service each time.”
