31228 Palos Verdes Dr W, Rancho Palos VerdesWe stopped by Golden Scoop Gelato after a quick stroll along the PV coast and honestly didn’t expect it to hit this hard. Total gem. Easily some of the best gelato (and ice cream in general) we’ve had in the area. We tried a bunch of things: tiramisu gelato, strawberry cream gelato, pistachio gelato, a strawberry matcha latte, a gelato-topped croffle, and the Nutella berry croffle. Everything was solid, but a couple standouts for sure. My daughter loved the strawberry cream gelato, super smooth and not overly sweet. The pistachio was legit too, actually tasted like pistachio and not just sugar. My favorite was the gelato-topped croffle (croissant + waffle combo) with tiramisu gelato on top. So good. Warm, crispy croffle with the cold gelato worked perfectly. The Nutella berry croffle was also a win. Don’t sleep on the drinks either. My wife really enjoyed the strawberry matcha latte, balanced and not too heavy. Great spot to end a walk by the coast. We’ll definitely be back.

28621 S Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdesad an amazing Sunday lunch here and honestly — this was the best sushi I’ve ever had. Every single bite tasted premium. You can immediately tell the quality of the fish and ingredients are on another level — incredibly fresh, clean flavors, and perfectly prepared. Sitting at the sushi bar made it even better because you can actually see the freshness and care that goes into everything being made.
I ordered the green mussels, spicy garlic edamame, the WTF Roll, Wagyu sushi, and the Tuna Lover Roll — and every dish was outstanding. The Wagyu sushi completely blew me away… I’ve never had Wagyu like that before. It literally melted in my mouth. The presentation across the board was beautiful and showed real attention to detail.
Huge shoutout to Ugo at the sushi bar — incredibly kind, welcoming, and passionate about what he does. He even let me try a roll I was curious about, which made the experience feel personal and memorable.
If you’re looking for top-tier sushi with premium ingredients and an amazing atmosphere, this place is absolutely worth it. I’ll definitely be coming back

We mainly came in to grab a couple beers, but the food ended up being the bigger surprise. They’ve got a good selection of beers on tap — my favorite was the Mic-Czech Pilsner, clean and easy to drink. For food, we tried the Mahi Mahi Taco Plate, The Tap House Burger, The Ramsay Burger, and the Smash Fries. Everything was solid overall, but the Ramsay Burger and the Smash Fries were the clear standouts for me. The burger was rich and filling without being over the top, and the fries were crispy and addictive — definitely something I’d order again. Overall, a dependable neighborhood place I’d come back to when I’m in the area.

The instructors are excellent, very knowledgeable and anxious to help you improve. The other students are a lot of fun to be with and are also very supportive and encouraging. Very reasonably priced classes. There are also lots of events, and gallery shows. It's a great resource for the community.

Watching the sunset while enjoying fresh sushi was the perfect way to unwind. The fish was incredibly fresh, the rice was well seasoned, and every bite tasted clean and balanced. The service was warm and friendly, and we had a great time chatting with the staff, which made the experience feel even more special. A fantastic sushi spot . we’ll definitely be back.
