“I was looking for a pair of Carmina dress shoes. After researching I found that Gentlemen’s Footwear in San Diego was the only storefront that sold these shoes on the west coast. It was important for me to be able to physically go into the store, try on the shoes and have some of my questions answered. Once I was at Gentlemen’s Footwear, I met the owner Steve. He was very knowledgeable and knew exactly how this type of shoe is supposed to fit. How my shoe should feel and how to take good care of the shoe so it lasts. “I've owned a pair of ECCO boots for over 20 years. My 2nd pair somehow had an issue with the sole deterioration. I thought I was going to have to trash them and wasn't pleased as they are pricey. I went to the UTC store and they told me to send them in to the company. I contacted the company and they had me send them in and they determined that it was their fault and they sent me a brand new pair. I really like these boots and the customer service I was given at the store as well as the company.”

“I would not have thought to go to this shoe store for athletic shoes because I usually hit one at the mall but I had a Hoka return, and this was one of the places to return them. JACKSON was awesome, he was so polite and knowledgeable. The store had many customers and he asked about my return. I said I bought them online and never tried Hoka's before. He said it's always best to try before you buy so you get that right fit for your situation. After he asked me a few questions, he made a few recommendations and immediately came back with shoes to try. I felt bad because I thought I jumped the line and he said he had everyone handled - and he did. I wasn't use to this personal one on one experience and it was great! As an employer, getting employees that are helpful, courteous and enjoy their jobs are hard to find and I hope that he is recognized by his boss and company because he is an asset to their team! Thanks Jackson! I hope they give you a bonus!! And this will be my new shoe store!”

This is the reason I'm writing this review. If you can get to this Old Town location, go for it. Bravo, customer service.”
