“I always get lost in this store in the best possible way. They have a great selection of everything for the home, just give yourself time to sift through everything. Got a bunch of really nice frames. Great candles (even soy based). There's a bathroom in the back, could be cleaner by fine enough. I always wait a little in line to pay but never as long as at the one in mission valley. Bonus that the shopping center also has a tj maxx, sprouts and dollar store.”

“First time visiting on a Wednesday evening around 6 PM, and I had a fantastic experience! The store was very busy, but every register was fully staffed, and the team kept the lines moving quickly and efficiently.
I found everything I was looking for—and even more! There was a great selection at affordable prices, making it easy to find some amazing deals. I’ll definitely be back. The aisles were super accessible and clean too!
A special shout-out to Yancel—if you’re reading this, thank you for providing the best customer service I’ve ever received at any Marshalls across the country. I needed to make a return but didn’t have my paper receipt. Yancel patiently helped me locate my purchase using a copy of my receipt, making the entire process quick, easy, and completely stress-free. Your professionalism, patience, and kindness truly stood out and made our first visit an unforgettable one.

“Four Marshalls, 5 days! After finding a sweater I loved at Marshalls Solana Beach - but only in my size in 1 of 3 colors - I visited three other Marshalls over the next few days in the hopes I'd luck out there. Carmel Mountain was the worst, little selection, they'd never seen the sweater (which is prominently featured right now at SB). Some things must be saved for certain stores. La Jolla Village Square had more of the sweater (an Anne Klein short-sleeved top) - but sadly, still not in my size in the color I needed. So I headed over to Marshall's Mira Mesa. The selection there was smaller than SB or LJVS... BUT it was extremely well-organized and there were friendly staff. The checkout line was the fastest! And I did find one sweater I liked that was different. AND they had sunglasses, which out of the other stores only SB had (& no sunglasses I liked). So I scored a cute $19.99 sweater for work; a cute pair of French Connection sunglasses for $9.99 - and then some Bad Girl Bang blue mascara (which I think is discontinued) for $9.99. So here: Selection 3.5 (not huge but some good stuff), Customer Service 5, Checkout 5! Glad to know this store is way better than Carmel Mountain Plaza - and it's certainly fast to shop in because it's not huge and stuff was laid out well.”

The store is clean and organized, with friendly sales staff. Come check them out!”

Like every where these days it is pricey but with a coupon and other discounts it isn't horrible. Well laid out store with plenty of room to move around and to s of merchandise to check out. “Great selection of books considering this isn't a bookstore and at reasonable prices. Found several recent releases that I had unfortunately already paid full price for via Barnes and Noble. Also I appreciated the dedicated book display area, most stores books are not nearly displayed and are frequently in the check out line which makes them very inconvenient to access.”

“My recent visit to the Marshall's on Balboa and Genesee was a bit of a mixed experience. I went in with a few specific items in mind, but unfortunately, they didn't have what I was looking for.
On the upside, I did manage to find a fantastic pair of Italian leather shoes that are incredibly comfortable – a definite win!
However, the beauty department was a bit of a letdown. It felt quite cramped and messy, making it hard to browse. More notably, I struggled to find any body oils that didn't contain almond or coconut, which was disappointing as I specifically avoid those ingredients. I used to rely on them carrying pure rosehip seed oil, but it wasn't available this time around.
Overall, while I scored a great pair of shoes, the limited selection in some areas and the condition of the beauty department meant it wasn't a completely successful shopping trip. It's a place where you might find a gem, but it's not guaranteed.”
“MCX exchange is amazing, I'm not a big shopper myself solely because I don't like being in crowds but MCX has a lot of variety and deals without having to deal with the headaches of being in a public store with people being impolite. Everybody is super helpful with the exception of the electronics department, I've been there twice and almost all the staff (besides like two people) seem very lackadaisical. They don't offer help, very unemotional when they do help you as if they're going out of their way & just unprofessional. Being that this is a Marine store, I would expect more out of them. If I was their superior, most of them would easily be laid off as this kind of service wouldn't be tolerated. Besides them, every other department is amazing and will help if you need anything.”

“This is the cleanest Tj Maxx I’ve ever seen. The way all the merchandise is sorted and presented is unlike any other TJ I’ve visited.
Also, the workers here were so kind. I was in need of a specific item and the cashier literally started calling all the nearby stores to see who had it available for me!! Too kind, I just wish I remembered her name.
Same for the workers on the floor, they’re all so warm and friendly and happy to help.

“Great Burlington! Wow. In the past week I have visited almost all of the Burlington locations in San Diego looking for a specific backpack. I haven’t been lucky finding the backpack but I wanted to take the time to recognize this particular location for their excellent, clean, and organized store. Not only that, their amazing security guys who double as store greeters. Both security guards inside and outside the store said hello and welcomed us into Burlington.
We walked all the aisles looking for backpacks. If you’ve ever visited a Burlington you know things can be in several locations. We saw all the aisles and I was honestly blown away by the contrast between other stores and this store. Bravo to everyone working here.
On my way out I stopped and told the guard how great the store looked. He laughed and said they thought it could look better. Then the nice guard outside said “Thanks for visiting, blessings to you and the family”. We didn’t even buy anything! We left with blessings.
My husband looked at me and said “THIS is our store.” I agree, going forward I’m going to check this location first. Managers from other Burlington locations should come here to see what they’ve done to the aisles. In my opinion, this location sets the example for Burlington as a brand.
Corporate, if you’re seeing this, give this store some recognition. Including the super nice security guards!”
