171 Branham Ln, San JoseHow I came to know about San Jose Bengal Cats and Rene was at the Campbell farmer's market where someone had a cat in their backpack. I reached out asking so many questions earlier this year but the timing just wasn't right. Rene actually reached out to me because he knew I was looking for one without spots. Naturally, I asked for a photo and just HAD to go meet her. Rene is very patient and cares deeply for these cats. You can see his engagement with these babies and how much he cares for them.
The day he reached out, I was able to visit the cattery and that was the beginning of the end. You're able to hold the kitty with a deposit until when you're ready to bring them home. They come with the basic vaccines, a week worth of wet and dry food, and he will send pedigree papers once they're spayed/neutered. We love our dear girl and hope others will be able to find great homes! As he said, we're now family.

She is the BEST and our dogs LOVE her. Coco has extreme separation anxiety when apart from Bella and he is better there they do their best to accommodate him and relieve his stress. They are so kind and understanding. Not to mention both dogs come home looking fabulous and happy. Highly recommend this location.

I asked for a stock check After she went to find the item I was asking about she offered to put them on hold for me. I expressed I would cut it close to closing and she didn't even express concern. She even gave me a discount to what their website was offering. Bonus: she spelled my name currently and didn't even ask! She had them ready and waiting for when I walked in the door like this! You can take everything I said in my previous post which is perfectly true and they did it again with Casper. We asked for a groomer who would be patient, gentle and kind with our anxious dog. They set us up with Mary who was amazing! She is so sweet to our goldendoodle and really cares about getting the cut you want for your dog. We have gone to her three times now and our dog , Sasha, always looks great when we pick her up. We have many people at the dog park asking where we go to get her grooming done and even get compliments a month after her cut. It grows out so well! We highly recommend Mary. The whole experience from booking the appointment online to the check in was easy. They require proof of Rabies vaccination which you can send via text , super simple. Elena took the time to understand how we wanted Biscuit's haircut to be , including the length & overall look we were going for. In 2.5 hours , Biscuit was ready!! The Lush groom Biscuit had today was great. He looked like a million bucks & so happy. Elena let us know how Biscuit did which was also nice. Elena is awesome & so is the front staff. We rebooked right away, Thanks Elena & Lush Spaw!!

I called and the receptionist was so sweet to get me in same day. (It was for a drop off but I was totally fine with that because I knew my puppy needed the care asap) Once we arrived we were welcomed by some really sweet girls showing so much love to my baby. He didn't even care about me leaving him there lol he just walked on back there like he owned that place. Then I was called with the treatment plan by the doctor who explained everything so throughly and made me feel more at peace. We are now on meds and on the road to recovery thanks to Piedmont Hills Animal Hospital! They have now gained a new pet at their clinic! (Our previous vet we had been to only once and was not a fan- it was very outdated & dirty with blood stains on the lobby floor) and this hospital was sooo clean & modern!

As an anxious dog mom, I’ve always felt so reassured by Dr. Zacher, Ellen, and Adam. They’ve been amazing at keeping us in the loop—letting us know when Benji is next in line for his procedure, how everything’s going, and just making sure we never feel in the dark. That level of communication has meant so much to me.
We’ve been coming here for about four years now, ever since our vet in Oakland recommended them. And yes—we wake up at 6 a.m. just to make it to San Jose by 7, and it’s totally worth it. The care, the kindness, and the trust we feel here keep us coming back.

Camden Pet Hospital: Hoge Jeremy DVM
4960 Camden Ave, San JoseThank You Camden Pet Hospital for saving my Fuzzy Son Toby Cat. I can't express how much I appreciate Dr J. deciding to say that Toby is too young and before his major health issues too healthy for him to be put down. Tuesday, Jan 30 was the start of Toby's recovery and I owe my gratitude and thanks to Dr J and the staff at Camden Pet Hospital. When I woke up on that Tuesday I saw that Toby was even more sick than the prior days and I called Camden Pet Hospital to make an appointment for them to see him. I thought this was to end his life, that I would have to have him euthanized. I didn't think that CHP could save Toby for an amount of money that I could afford. To my wonderful surprise when I met Dr. J and told her the situation, fairly quickly she said that Toby is too young and healthy to be put down. She came up with a treatment plan that I could afford, around $650 that would basically follow what the other vet companies said they would do, treat Toby for 3 days, for a much higher cost, over $3000. The only difference was that I would take Toby home each day at 5 PM and then return him the next day for additional treatment to cure his urinary blockage. As with the prior 2 days, they continued with his treatments until I came at 5 PM Thursday to pick Toby up at the end of his care at CPH, and bring him home. Dr J. said that his urinary blockage had been cleared and the problem with his liver was fixed. All we could do now was to keep an eye on him. Try to get him to continue to eat and drink water. They gave me some special cat food, both dry and wet food for him to eat. This food was a urinary care type of cat food, Hills Urinary Care cat food. All during the time of his illness, I was praying to GOD to help save my Fuzzy Son Toby. I was so afraid I was going to lose him and it was very difficult to hold it together. I was a mess. That night Toby slept with me as he always does and I had the strong belief that he was going to eventually fully recover. From the time I brought Toby home from CHP, he slowly and steadily regained his health. Each day, his recovery progressed. He started eating his cat food and drinking water. It was not a lot at first, but each day he ate and drank more. Also, he started using his cat box. In fact, I set up a separate cat box, food and water dishes in my room as Dr J suggested. More major positive changes happened. He started walking around the house again. He wasn't just staying in my room. At the end of the first week back home, he wanted to go outside again. The things that really showed me that he was getting better is he started acting like my Fuzzy Son again. He was purring often again, playing with his sister Sophie cat, and looking at me like the old Toby Cat, full of LOVE and LIFE! It's now been about 1 1/2 months since the start of this journey and I'm so HAPPY to say that Toby has FULLY RECOVERED! Of course, none of this would have happened if not for Dr J at CPH. Her decision to help Toby, her treatment plan and the care that she and the CHP staff gave Toby is the major reason why he recovered and is healthy again. THANK YOU DR. J AND EVERYONE AT CAMDEN PET HOSPITAL FOR SAVING TOBY'S LIFE.

Oak Grove Veterinary Hospital
512 Giuffrida Ave, San JoseHonestly, I have taken my dogs to multiple veterinary clinics in the San Jose area, but none have compared to Oak Grove. All of the staff are incredibly kind-hearted, genuine, and super caring of the animals that they are working with. I've never had a bad experience out of the countless times that I have taken my dogs Luna and Dana. Dr. Brar is an amazing veterinarian as well, and I admire the fact that he always says things as they are. We took Luna in the first time due to her having stomach problems, and Dr. Brar let us start with simple things first before going into more costly procedures (as Luna was still having issues after being put on medication). The prices are incredibly reasonable in comparison to the other vets I've taken my pets to, as many will try to take your eye out over something as small as a physical exam or an ear cleaning. Overall, my experiences with Oak Grove Veterinary Hospital have always been super positive! I am very certain that I will not be switching vets anytime soon.

Initially, we were concerned about her adjustment, but after her first daycare visit, she loved it! It was such a relief to see our timid girl so eager and happy to go back.
We feel completely comfortable knowing our pup is in the capable hands of the staff at Lucky Buddies. The atmosphere is so welcoming that it feels like we are dropping her off at a friend's or family member's house. We have complete trust in their care for our baby girl. While we have wonderful friends, we struggled to find someone who could not only handle the time commitment required to take care of our active golden retriever but also our two cats for more than 2 days. Out of desperation I turned to google and miraculously found Alex’s company. Her prices are reasonable, she is communicative, understanding, flexible and full of knowledge for pet care! She loved on our pets like her own, sent videos and pictures with each visit, and kept in touch multiple times a day. For us, this was a life saver and we were able to not only enjoy our trip away but RELAX knowing our babies were in good, safe and capable hands. 2062 Delbarr Ct, San JoseWe adopted 3-year-old Duy in November 2022. He was wary of and reactive toward strangers. He was also known to nip when touched in a spot he wasn't fond of. The rescue said he was best suited to a nurturing adult-only home to patiently address and work through these issues. We've adopted rescues since 2003 and Duy was the first one who challenged us. He bit us several times in the first couple of months and we weren't sure if we were in over our heads. Our other dog, Benny, was also a bit skeptical of the new addition to our family.Sybl was recommended to us by our friend who works with rescues regularly. The initial phone call and in-person assessment provided much more information than I expected and I was pleasantly surprised. We immediately hit it off with Sybl and signed up for the "Good Dog, Let's Go!" training plan. Over the course of 8 lessons, we learned about command training, proper use of tools/equipment (basket muzzle, slip collar, pinch collar, and leashes), and most importantly how to be his coach to guide him in his lessons. We've had dogs for most of our lives and it was eye-opening to learn how to hone in on our dogs' behaviors to better understand them and be better dog guardians. We appreciate Sybl's wealth of knowledge and accessibility when we had questions between sessions. Duy is much happier and more trusting, making so much progress since working with her. The tools, exercises, and resources she has provided will be beneficial for every dog we adopt going forward. We are so thankful for her!

Calero Pet Retreat
7570 Tierra Sombra Ct, San JoseJust dropped our dogs off for their second stay here and I just have to share how amazing this place is! We have had a very hard time finding a place for our dogs (Rottweiler and pit mix) to stay when we are out of town and this place and Kristie have been such a blessing. Not only do they take amazing care of our dogs- but they help us with training and discipline tips as well. Our dogs came back better and more behaved even after the first stay! I can't say enough great things about Calero Pet Retreat and everyone who is a part of this place, especially Kristie! Bring your pets here- you won't be disappointed!

Ourselves and our dogs have trained and learned so much from both Diana and Dick. These two trainers were absolutely fantastic! We also observe the other training classes going around us. All the SCDTC trainers are top notch and the dogs and their owners both benefit big time! Sorry to say... but the owners need more training than the dogs ;)

They serve very few items but they're VERY GOOD. I'm from Mumbai and their vada pav is the PROPER vada pav! Complete with all the chutneys, the fried chilli & the fried boondi. I like their Dabeli and their pav bhaji. Their pav is the proper pav, not the lazy hamburger buns/dinner rolls that other places use.

4/10 Review - came back for more and the star review still holds. The fish taco is exactly what a fish taco should be. Fresh fish, grilled to perfection, spicy, crunchy cabbage, fresh thick corn tortillas that hold together perfectly. The surf & turf tacos were exceptional. The shrimp taco is delicious and fresh, also holding together like a champ! The veggie tacos are super flavorful with a nice smoky flavor. The taco has a kick to it and it's perfect. The smashburger was good but the Mexican food is really the star of the show. Worthy of continued visits for more! ❤️
We finally tried ABVE The Basics and are so happy we did!
We arrived on Saturday at noon, and luckily, the bar was basically empty. I think there were 1-2 people at the bar, and that was it.
It's definitely a 'bar'. Pool tables, dart boards, tv screens, big L-shaped bar, quite spacious, actually.
You walk up to the window to order your food. The menu is on the wall, and there are plenty of choices. The person at the register was very friendly and helped us with questions and accommodations.
We ordered deep fried elote (DELICIOUS!). The crunch was such a fabulous change to traditional elote. It's not something we should probably eat regularly but it was very good!
We had a shrimp taco, a veggie taco, and a carnitas bowl.
Everything was very fresh tasting, generous in quantities, presented well, and had a ton of flavor. We were pleasantly surprised and look forward to our next visit!

So, if you live in Via Mia's delivery area, and you have not had their pizza, you MUST give them a try. If you're not sure about what they do, just order a simple cheese pizza, and as soon as they deliver it, take a bite. These folks do something magical with cheese, bread, and salt - when it's hot, it's freaking AMAZING. This is not Neapolitan style thin crust. This is not NYC big slice pie. This is something wholly unique - puffy crust, salty cheese, absolutely delish! We love their plain cheese. We love their pepperoni. We love their massively complex Greek Feta with a million veggies and Feta, and we add pepperoni to it. Check out coupons. Get friendly with their staff -- Ali has been taking care of us for literally over a decade -- and get ready for some great pizza. Did I mention their salads? EPIC! Wings? FANTASTIC! If you live in Almaden / Cambrian and you are not patronizing this business, you are missing out on enjoying one of the best local vendors ever. Pizza chains are great. Local places are great-ER. Call Via Mia on a Friday night and enjoy an incredibly priced dietary indulgence!

2200 Eastridge Loop STE 1076, San JoseI haven't visited yet when it's open, I'm just noting that Google maps is wrong about the location - it is NOT in the same spot as Daniel's jewelry on the corner of the central plaza, it's farther in along that walkway, next door to Victoria's Secret and across from Jenn Plus. I went in to ask at the jewelry store and the staff said a lot of people came in to ask about Mini Cat Town ? so someone needs to update the location in Google maps....
