448 Atterdag Rd, SolvangThe venue itself is pretty nice. However. When there's special events, I think there should be more than one person serving. It took awhile for us to order or get our refills. I'm sure it's a much better service when it's not a special occasion. But, their biggest event is the Christmas parade time. They should have still been prepared. Their little patio area is very nice.

487 Atterdag Rd, SolvangWe spontaneously stopped at this restaurant for lunch without knowing much about it, and we're glad we did. They seated us at our request on the outside patio, and it was comfortably shaded from the sun. The service was attentive and friendly, and our waitress explained the specials and answered all of our questions. The food was delicious, and we appreciated that they sourced from local farms. We will definitely eat here again when we return.

1603 Copenhagen Dr #2, Solvangnot only was the place run by very kind employees, but the selection was just beautiful!! i must have been inside looking at all of the tea for 15 minutes. they have a wonderful list of interesting tea blends, unique salt and sugar blends and an impressive collection of spices :) i would recommend that any cooking/tea enthusiasts stop by, you won't want to miss this cute shop!!

1607 Mission Dr #112, SolvangWe visited Solvang for the weekend and my husband and I decided to break away from the screenagers for a bit of adult time tasting some local wines. Casa Cassara looked like a good family owned place and we weren't disappointed. It was $24 for 6 tastes of our choice. Our server, whose name I failed to get :-(, was so sweet and attentive. We really enjoyed the Pinot Grigio and Pinot Noir and bought a bottle of the former for Christmas. Reasonably priced, great wines from a place with a beautiful family history. My only complaint is the pours were extremely small. But our wonderful server (from Connecticut, can someone make sure she gets credit for this?) offered us an extra pour just in case we had a wine we really wanted to try again. Such a nice, laid back tasting room.

If you don’t, I’ll spend the money and steal her right under you. She is clearly the backbone of this place. I’ve been in several times and witnessed her handle entitled rude patrons with poise and grace. Coffee was outstanding and even the biscuits and gravy were delish. Good leadership is so rare in service, it’s worth pointing out.

Alma Rosa Winery & Vineyards Tasting Room
1623 Mission Dr Suite M, SolvangI really enjoyed our weekday visit to Alma Rosa. Our server, Crystal, immediately greeted us and made recommendations on what to order for our tasting. She brought the tasting in two batches, which I liked as it felt like we could take our time and weren't rushed. The shop is quite large with plenty of seating inside and outside on the shared courtyard. I especially appreciated that we could order food from the neighboring vendors to enjoy with our wine. Definitely a must visit on your next trip to Solvang or Los Olivos.

1655 Mission Dr, SolvangThis is such a solid spot for breakfast/brunch. What really stood out was how fast the service was — probably one of the quickest breakfast places I’ve been to, which is always a plus when you’re hungry in the morning.
The food was delicious and fresh. I absolutely loved the salmon benedict — perfectly cooked and full of flavor — and the avocado toast was just as good, simple but done really well.
Overall, a great place for a relaxed and tasty breakfast. Would definitely come back next time I’m in Solvang!

If you are looking to join a wine club the Consilience is our pick. Always reliable and very yummy. Like most of Solvang they are dog friendly.
