1981 Cienaga St, OceanoWas curious to try this place out, especially as it's bit of a ways off from more heavily traveled corridors like US 101. Though it is next to Route 1, so it does get its fair share of traffic.
I ordered the BBQ Chipotle Chicken Sandwich, and after a few bites, I can see why this place is rated highly. The sandwich tasted fresh, and the chicken was juicy. I also ordered some Creamy Pesto Pasta a side to complement the sandwich, and the dressing and veggies in the salad really held it together.
I haven't had a delicious sandwich in awhile, and I'm glad I decided to try out this place on a curiosity. I'll be definitely coming back in the future.

Slappy’s Chowder House
306 Pier Ave, OceanoGood food, service is fine it is just a window you order at and pick up, I do see it sometimes have a good vibe going in the evening on weekend but chill on weekdays. Got the fish tacos which came with three tacos and a tiny side of onion rings for $20. Felt a little expensive but we are by the beach so no surprise there.

I can’t say enough about the service. SHOUT OUT TO KYLE ! How fortunate to have such a happy / positive person working at your establishment. He gave us and everyone else around him dedicated heartfelt , amazing service ! All staff we encountered very nice eager to get us seated once I asked again. So so nice.
The salsa was delicious- our 3 meals were delicious. I may have to come this way again just to visit the Cantina. I usually head north !

Sylvester's Burgers
1875 Front St, OceanoAfter leaving another restaurant because of terrible service, Sylvester’s Burgers was a breath of fresh air. Anthony greeted us immediately at the register, took our order, and provided helpful information about the daily specials. He was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.
I ordered the Heart Attack 1/3-pound burger with onion rings and a side salad. My wife had the clam chowder and fish and chips, while my son ordered the daily black cod special. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the excellent service made the experience even better.
Anthony is the type of employee every restaurant should have. His outstanding customer service completely turned our evening around and made our visit to Sylvester’s Burgers a great experience.
