On my first visit, I wasn’t planning to buy anything, just wandering around — but I got curious about bearded dragons, and Dale took the time to explain everything in such an honest, passionate way. It’s clear they truly care about their animals and are happy to share what they know, whether you’re buying from them or not.

Teddy is a German Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix who came to us with a lot of anxiety and insecurity, along with signs of reactivity toward other dogs and people. We knew from the start that helping him adjust would take time, patience, and the right guidance — and that’s exactly what we found at NexGen K9.
We chose to do private lessons because we wanted to be hands-on in learning the tools that would best support Teddy, and Samantha was amazing from day one. She truly met us — and Teddy — where we were, with compassion, patience, and professionalism. Her approach was collaborative, thoughtful, and always focused on helping Teddy grow in a way that felt manageable and positive.
Samantha went above and beyond for Teddy. Thanks to her support, Teddy is now far more confident and much less reactive. We’re still working through his anxiety in new environments, but because of the foundation NexGen K9 helped us build, I feel so much more confident in helping him continue to thrive.
We’re beyond thankful that Teddy is part of our family — and that NexGen K9 played such a key role in making that possible.

We were fortunate to have her privately train our five month old Australian Cattle Dog and she got her off to a great start. This breed is highly intelligent and notoriously strong willed as they are working dogs and need to be focused and motivated. One of the things we liked about Kim immediately was her firm command of our puppy and her emphasis on making all our work with her fun for the dog and us. Kim's lessons have been built on and Tilly at almost nine months has absorbed that base and brings us happiness. I am sure there are many great trainers out there and I know that Kim's skill is much deeper and larger than we have been able to use so far. What is important to know is that she is a trainer who brings kindness and joy to her work.

When picked him up Nicari had him groomed and smelling like a Million Dollars. Wish she was closer to us! Best part they do not crate them unless asked. They let my puppy cuddle with them at night in bed. Was nice to know he was somewhere nice and being treated just the way he would be at home.

I got a matcha latte and it was overly sweet for my taste and the pastries were definitely not made same-day, but it's one of the only coffee shops in the area — would still suggest a visit for the vibes, and maybe try their specialty coffee drinks!! Located super close to Touro University, good for studying or getting work done.

1810 Springs Rd, VallejoTraditional Filipino dishes [Vallejo CA] We were in the area and were looking for a place to eat preferably serving Filipino cuisine since we have limited options in Roseville. Hubby found this restaurant and so we drove to the place. First thing you'll notice once you enter the restaurant is the warm temp inside - no AC but they have electric fans going on. To the right is a long shelf with a variety grocery items while the table seating is laid out in the center. TV was tuned in to a channel playing a Filipino movie. This is a "turo-turo" style food ordering, meaning no table service instead you go to where the dishes are cooked in large portions (which is towards the back of the restaurant) and you choose which ones you want. We ordered: Pork Sinigang - a little too sour for me but this is a classic Filipino soup with pork ribs, vegetables, and tamarind broth. Bistek (beef steak) - thin slices of marinated beef before smothered in a deeply savory sauce and topped with golden-seared onions Pork Adobo - classic Filipino dish of pork simmered in vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic Kaldereta - goat meat stew I didn't try the kaldereta but all the other dishes were good and delicious. Every time I go I ask myself why I waited so long since the last time! We are truly blessed to have such great Mediterranean food options in the area. Everything they make is so fresh and delicious, I can't say enough good things about it. I usually go for adana or chicken kebab but literally everything we've tried from their menu is great. Not kidding, even their fries are top notch. Super friendly people running the place too. Definitely give this place a shot!
