We heard and read good things about Shine in Boulder, consulted with Anika there. She is an amazing and knowledgeable resource, and helped us to slowly switch from “commercial” to Shine dog food. The upshot is that we’ll also put our 3 cats on their “real” food. Thanks for being there for animal nutrition!

I drive all the way from Denver for my pups to see Maddy because she is so gentle and sweet with them and makes it such a comfortable experience! My dogs don’t hate getting groomed anymore, and she is always so helpful when I come in to get treats for them, too! I also love the shop and their selection of treats and food. I am just as picky about my dogs eating clean as I am for myself so the selection here is stellar. Nothing but good things to say about this place & Maddy!

Colorado Animal Specialty & Emergency (CASE)
2972 Iris Ave, BoulderBrought my dog into CASE right off of the hiking trail after he was bitten by a rattlesnake. They gave emergency cares immediately, informed me of the expected course of cares required to help him, and communicated multiple times daily about his progress. He was hospitalized for about 30 hours in total. My family really appreciated the ability to visit with our pup during “visiting hours”. I hope to not need emergency veterinary services again anytime soon but it’s also nice to know that CASE is close if I do.

We had explored several other trainers before Tenderfoot, but they were either too harsh or entirely treat focused. I never knew I could love a dog so much and it’s still hard to trust other people to care for my pup, but i completely trust the team at Doggie Depot. They take such amazing and kind care of him and all the dogs there. He gets excited to go in the mornings, when we turn on the street, and then to see Jonathan when he greets him. Look forward to many more years of taking my pup here!

The beers here are excellent and they taste like the tap lines are kept really clean, the flavor of the beer is uncontaminated by any hint of staleness. Also, they have an awesome Open Mic on Wednesday nights hosted by Jim Herlihy. The sound system is excellent and the audience is a mix of performers with a healthy dose of listeners who are NOT performing, which makes for a very good audience. Also the young lady behind the bar is a sweetheart with a big smile, who gets my vote as the darlin'est tap puller in the country. At least on Wednesday nights. The atmosphere is comfy funky and the people are friendly and generous. Big thanks to Mike, a member of the audience who bought me a beer after my set, and then sat and traded stories with me. I'll be back next week! C'mon by!

Get 2 or 3 for each person in your party and cut them up to share so you get to try more flavors. And don't forget to get one of the dessert cookies. So good! Eating outside on the patio you can enjoy the Flatirons view with your empanadas....and they have them frozen so you can take some home with you to enjoy whenever you want.
