We moved to Lakewood from Grand Junction a year ago and have had trouble finding a groomer. A few have quoted me unaffordable prices and our Schnauzer has been outright rejected by two places. We've tried doing it ourselves but it has been a battle... and sort of a nightmare. One day I stopped by and explained the situation to Robin. She said she was willing to give it a go. She set up a special appointment time on an off day. I know it wasn't easy, but she was outstanding. Both dogs look so adorable! I could not recommend her more highly.

Our dog is in her senior years, and we are confident we’ll have her for a long time to come. The staff here takes great care of her and tolerates her shyness and awkwardness very well. Vet techs, veterinarians, surgeons, and front desk staff are all fantastic. Our dog had to have dental surgery, and she was taken great care of. Plus, the work was excellent! I always feel like I have the necessary knowledge to take the best care of our girl every time we visit. Big thanks for Wadsworth Animal Hospital for everything!

Dr Brett Sargent, and his father, Dr Duane Sargent have provided exceptional care for my cats and dogs since 2000. I tried several other practices when I moved to the far SE metro area. I soon recognized that staying with FR was more than worth the 45-minute drive.

I found her after several other vets told me there was nothing that could be done and he would have to be put down. Her surgery was a great success and he lived 5 more great years with me , eventually hiking, swimming and running . She is a pro. Trust her knowledge and skill.

1326 S Kline St, LakewoodI have used Unique Pet Care for over a year now and have never been disappointed. Amy and her team are really in-touch with what my kitties need and want. She brings toys and wonderful catnip, bringing out our toys that are located in baskets all over the house (we spoil our kitties!) and they continue to play even after her visits. I have requested photos to calm my anxiety for leaving them and she will even send me short videos so I can hear their purring and chatting. She provides services such as watering my flowers, picking up my mail and even taking out/brining in my trash cans. I cannot recommend a company more than Unique Pet Care. Even when I've had short notice to leave town for an emergency, Amy has always pulled through and helped me out. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves their fur-babies!

Shortly after bringing her home, I ran into a few unexpected health issues. As a first-time cat mom, I was honestly scared and overwhelmed by the findings and how sick she was. But CCS immediately followed up with me and walked me through every bump in the road with so much care and support. I never felt alone in it. CCS truly cares about their cats before and after adoption.
I am endlessly grateful to this shelter for connecting me with my soul kitty. Amelia has brought so much joy and face “boops” into my life. If you’re considering adopting, I highly recommend visiting CCS — they truly care about both their cats and their adopters!

Life Is Better Rescue
3535 S Allison St, LakewoodI'm sad to see the puppy mill comments here. I adopted from them at an event (Rosie 2019). She was transported from a kill shelter in Oklahoma, and they provided a paper trail. I was pleased to see they were getting references for potential new fur parents. They don't always have dogs available, as puppy mill places do. I think they are great! So does my dog. I call her Symi. She's amazing. I can't believe she was on the chopping block. Big thanks to them, her foster mom & the kind man from Oklohoma who saved her group & brought her to them.
