“What a special place! If you, like us, want to support local business in your vacation souvenir shopping while also procuring a unique and memorable item, look no further. The concept is that you build a long board and add different items that represent your trip to Hawaii. It’s hard to describe without a visual, so please see the image of the souvenir we built. This consists of the Longboard base, and we added the following items: Palm Trees Background, waves foreground, and surfboard, rainbow, turtle, whale tail, ukulele, & “Hawaii” text. What you see is how we arranged the items. It is an items we look forward to displaying in our home to remember our amazing trip to Hawaii.”

“We came in looking for a wedding gift for our relatives living on the mainland. It was a pleasant surprise to find that there was an option for a customizable wooden decor. They have a huge selection of pieces ranging from more decorative pieces, to photo frames, and even clocks to choose from. I love that CocoNene supports local artists as well!”

“They're still in Waikiki though moved at a new location...You can now find them in the Hilton Hawaiian Village Rainbow Bazaar it's certainly not exactly what I expected to see as this tiny shop is filled with it's vibrant ornaments of all kinds that we've grown familiar with found only in Hawai'i is the same special personalization you're able to make it your very own.I do admit as the holidays are approaching looking at these cuties makes you a bit nostalgia cherishing your loved ones while expressing it is a breeze with Waikiki Christmas Store by Santa's Pen with the convenience of on site personalization like me when my aha moment is the golden hour with a little help from Santa's elves gifting is a great deal when you're looking for that something special, items all made with great service.Thank you!”

“Our salesperson Austin Davenport assisted us today at the Ashley Salt Lake store. He greeted us from the get go and was so nice and friendly. He was very patient and professional and made sure he helped find what furnitures we wanted. We were so pleased what Austin found for us and he set up everything for us. It took about an hour in the store and we left very happy campers!! I want to thank Austin and Ashley Furnitures for their commitment to quality service that they provide to their customers.”

“Let me say this. As a native Hawaiian supporting local artists we sometimes do not receive the warmest welcome when entering an establishment. Magnolia is the total opposite of that. From the moment my daughter and I stepped in we felt completely welcomed and at home. The owner, Maggie is an absolute gem. We purchased a tahitian pearl bracelet by a local artist for my sister's birthday and she absolutely LOVED it! My daughter purchased a necklace for herself as well. The experience was so memorable that we returned a week later. I purchased my 2nd diffuser (OMG the aroma is to die for) and some prints from a local artist that will look fabulous in my living room. We will continue to return to support our local artist community and for the sheer joy it brings us to visit. TRUST me, before you visit the "other" similar popular stores. Magnolia should be your first stop. You will thank me for it!”

“Creative Furniture has been in business for decades. Located on Waimanu St just off of Ward Ave. A family run business that delivers great customer service at a good price. They're possibly one of the last furniture stores that carry Futon furniture and Mattresses. Bob Thomas is the owner and does a fantastic job servicing his customers and making everyone feel comfortable. If you're looking for Futon Furniture and replacement mattresses give him a call or stop by to see their showroom.”

“This is the cutest little shop in Waialae with all the local goodies- perfect for holiday shopping! The pieces here are very unique and has products/ art from a ton of different local artists and artisans. Everything here is really local-fyed and trendy. I love taking mainland visitors here so they can have a unique Hawaii keepsake or so they can go shopping for friends and family back home. The past few times I came here, I got a gift for my mom and for someone who I was going to their house for the first time. Both of those times I bought Aloha Aina aromatherapy candles and soaps. When I've come here browsing for myself, I've gotten zodiac themed jewelry, a cute cellphone charm, and a hair clip. The space might be small but the selection is vast and curated- you never know what goodies you'll find!”

“This store is adorable and the price point for Waikiki is reasonable for souvenirs too. Great options for Christmas ornaments and Hawaiian trinkets. I bought a medium size bobble head beautiful ceramic blue turtle and some smaller ones that look like something you’d keep in a curio cabinet.”

“We grew up knowing Iida's as a child and through my adulthood, later with my child. Generations of Hawaii folks know Iida's. I was so heartbroken when they were no longer at Ala Moana Shopping Mall. I reminisce and think of shopping there whenever I pass their old corner location. I will try to make a better effort of shopping Iida's when a gift is needed, or when I need something.”

“Fishcake is a delightful hidden gem in the back of the Ward area, a charming enclave offering a unique mix of food vendors, a furniture store, pottery, a salon, and more. It's a place that came highly recommended, and I was specifically urged to try the hand-pulled noodles available on Saturdays, a popular item known to sell out well before 1pm. Taking this advice, I had the pleasure of sampling the Hand Pulled Biang Biang Noodles from @shimas_oodles.of.noodles, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. The noodles themselves were a testament to the art of hand-pulling, possessing the perfect texture that only skilled hands can achieve. The spicy sauce, when combined with the extra homemade chili oil I requested, resulted in a dish that was nothing short of culinary perfection. Having tried hand-pulled noodles in various places from Honolulu to NYC, I can confidently say that these noodles are a standout. They balance heat and flavor impeccably, making every bite a delightful exploration of taste. And at a price point of $13, it's an unbeatable value for the quality you receive. The only caveat is the limited availability - not only do these noodles sell out quickly, often before 1pm, but they are also only offered once every other week. This exclusivity means you need to plan your visit early to ensure you get your fill. Despite this, the wait and effort are absolutely worth it for a chance to indulge in some of the best hand-pulled noodles around.”

“We have a guest bedroom that has been hardly used. So, we decided to remodel it to a Japanese style room with Tatami mats and found the Sannaka West on the Internet. After a consultation with a well thought out plan, our Japanese room was completed yesterday. They brought a carpenter from Japan specializing in the Japanese carpentry. His skill is simply amazing. The finished product is so precisely assembled and it looks like one of those rooms in expensive Japanese Inns. We also purchased the Japanese style cushions, a coffee table, and 2 sets of Futon from them. Great quality. Yes, they can be expensive but totally worthwhile. We are very happy with the quality of their service and products. I haven't been to their new showroom yet but will visit and buy a few items for our new room. RECOMMENDED.”

“I have come here quite a few times and will continue to do so! I had no idea this little gem existed until my partner said she wanted to grab some incense. I reluctantly obliged. We walked in and it was almost magical. There are so many treasures to peruse that I have yet to discover everything. The only downfall is that it is a small space so there's not much room to move around in, especially if there is more than one customer in the shop. They have a vast selection of incense, both stick and cone. They have incense holders as well. They sell authentic Asian clothing, tapestries, futons, jewelry, you name it. They also offer Buddhist cards (I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with Buddhism), collectors coins, jewelry, and so so so much more. The owner is such a sweet gentleman who is always willing to help and answer all of our questions. They truly are Siam Imports as they get their merchandise from Asia. If you're lucky, you might meet the cutest employee ever...the owner's doggy! She's just as precious as they come. I absolutely adore going into this store even just because. The incense is very affordable so I never go in there without leaving with incense. It's a truly hidden treasure right off of King Street at the corner of University. Check it out! You won't be disappointed. PARKING: You can park on the road when available or behind the building just off of University.”

“I received a broken candle from them a few months ago. I've reached out to them numerous times. I keep getting told that I will get a call from a manager never get a call I would never order from this company online. Very poor customer service. Edit: After dealing with Catherine G. Everything was made right. She was wonderful to work with. I just wish it didn't have to get to that point. I will shop with them again. Thank you Catherine for everything you did.”

“Retail Obsessed Stressed Shopper... Yup this is my retail therapy and yes there are negative pros and cons shopping here but it's still five star regardless as all I can say about Ross...thank you as they provide amazing finds if you take the moment to browse which is very therapeutical lol! This Hawaii Kai Towne location isn't the largest though I did find some favorite items at this location sometime I think it's the layout as having a smaller sales floor does make it less overwhelming to go through each aisle which is very narrow here finding it frustrating to walk pass a shopper with a shopping cart as some aisle makes it impossible to browse pass them. The staff here is a delight as I bring my purchase with getting a huge compliment CUTE! We chatted a bit and loved the price is a fraction in comparison to other shops. Retail therapy is certainly found here. Thank you!”

“It's like they read my mind...Refinery always seem to have something interesting with a slight twist to make you say...aha! This very fun and artsy shop is filled with items for all ages and even for our pets and home that just adds that touch making it our own. They strangely always have an incredible inventory of bags here none really that's for my taste and style but I guess it popular so it's kept fully stocked which is great. The novelty items are funny though very specific and is great for gift giving as it's things you normally don't get for yourself but know who'd love it and will put into great use.I do always find something here but it's so pricey I give another thought and see if I'm able to find something elsewhere first before I make that purchase if starting with a gift bag $12.50 I'm afraid what the total cost for the items will be at the end is frightful. It's really a fun and artsy place that's so much fun to browse and do have so much on my wish list...hint hint but give this place a browse who know what you'll find!Thank you!”

“awesome little shop run by fantastic people, check it out! not only are the items extremely high quality, but the saleswoman at the counter saved the day when she helped guide me through some high value purchases, even wrapped them up nicely as gifts, and when she rang me up i was so tired that i forgot to pick the gift up before walking away and assumed they were already in my bag! i would never have noticed, but she ran and managed to find me before it was too late, literally going the extra mile for me. i can't recommend this store enough if you want high quality unique items found nowhere else with excellent service!!”

“I was able to meet a very nice store and staff. I was able to purchase a wonderful piece of Hawaiian Koa. I think there is no better quality than this, it has a glossy feel. The staff was very fluent in Japanese, had perfect product knowledge, and was full of hospitality, even worrying about getting me to the airport for my return trip as soon as possible. I don't think there are many shops that can give you this much attention. This is a shop where you can find authentic souvenirs and ornaments that are different from cheap ones. There are stores in famous hotels, but this one was the best.I'll stop by again when I'm in Waikiki. thank you very much.”
