The store is a bit difficult to find - it’s located above Waikiki wind spa, go up the elevator to the 3rd floor - but it is an absolute hidden gem. Lots of specialty handmade toys, Hawaii themed outfits for cats and dogs, and more unique finds that you won’t see anywhere else in Waikiki. The owner is very sweet and puts lots of care into the business. Highly recommend!

I always go to the Wednesday blaisdell center farmers market(4PM-7PM) and the person at the tent always greets my dog with a couple treats and my dog is always excited to meet them. The only problem I've ever had with my dog, is the chicken with cheese treat, I'm guess my dog's digestion didn't like it. I use the pork jerky to train since it's super easy to break apart into small pieces. 5/5 👌

Our pup is older with less than perfect teeth, so we were unsure if she could eat these as most treats are too hard for her. We bought a box ($8) as these treats are soft and she loves them! We have to break them in half for her, but that just means they last twice as long! Side note: my husband tried a sample lol and said they'd be great with tea. Got to love an all natural treat for your pup that is safe for you to eat, too!

Mai and her team are literally the BEST in town. We found Mai 12 years ago when we moved to Hawaii and after our baby had her tongue cut off by a previous groomer in CA. Mai is so gentle, patient, and good with the dogs. Her cuts are perfection! I have sat and watched numerous times how well the staff treats the pups and how great they are with handling them, baths, and cuts. The holiday photos at the end of each session always have us laughing and it's our favorite part as dog paw-rents! Doggy Box is amazing. Please don't make an appointment though because it's hard enough getting my pups booked for an appointment when everyone knows how fabulous they are.

I would not trust anyone else with my precious brood. They treat them as their own. For example, my poor kitty Mosey who was 17 at the time fractured his leg and at the time I had to be referred to VERC but the options presented to me were not only expensive but I'm afraid it would be traumatic to Mosey. As always, Dr. Kam had the best solution for him. And when we had to say goodbye to our dear Adobo. Dr Kam, Lois, Stacy and Keana..we all gathered around him and he said goodbye to his family as he should. I drive all the way from Waianae to come here, and honestly, the drive is 100% worth it for the level of service, kindness, and care we receive.

My cat had never boarded before but she came back in good spirits, and seemed pretty unbothered but being out of her home (which for a cat is a compliment). I opted to have her brushed a couple of times for long hair and she came home very clean, no mats. The pictures they sent were very cute too!
It is maybe a bit on the expensive side, but I think for the quality of care it felt appropriate and compared to boarding my dog it was quite reasonable. I also appreciated the upfront pricing which ended up being exactly what I paid.

Kristi’s professionalism, patience, and genuine care for Hana were obvious from day one. She kept us updated, explained everything clearly, and made sure we understood how to continue Hana’s training at home. Hana came back confident, responsive, and eager to work.
We especially appreciate how Kristi helped Hana with her socialization boundaries. Hana is a high energy puppy who loves everyone, and Kristi taught her how to slow down, listen, and make better choices. The structure, consistency, and clear communication made a huge difference.
Island Dog Obedience truly exceeded our expectations. The training, the support, and the care they gave Hana were outstanding. We highly recommend Kristi to anyone looking for real results and a trainer who genuinely loves what she does.

Before training, I couldn’t even walk our dog because she pulled so hard. It wasn’t just me—even our dog sitters struggled to walk her. She also greeted everyone by barking, whether they were coming into our home or we were visiting theirs. She sounded like a fierce guard dog… which is pretty funny considering she’s a full-blooded Golden Retriever!
The transformation has been incredible. Not only is she so much better behaved, but we’ve also learned how to communicate with her in a way we never knew before. The training didn’t just change our dog—it changed our relationship with her.
We can’t recommend Balanced Obedience enough. If you’re on the fence about investing in training, take the leap. It is worth every penny, and you’ll be so glad you did! 💞🤙🏽

I was super nervous leaving my fur babies behind as I have had bad experiences in the past with other sitters, but thankfully I found Waikīkī Pet Pals!
I was matched with a sitter and she took care of all my girls needs while I was away. She sent daily updates and photos and put my mind at ease being over 3000 miles away.

Apart from the different business hours, I’ve now been here eight times. I usually get the Hawaiian Style or the Shoyu Ahi with rice, and depending on the side options, I’ll get the edamame, crab salad, and seaweed/ginger.
Portions are great to if you’re hungry. I’d get two Poke for your bowl if you’re really hungry. There’s limited seating outside, but all bowls are packed to-go so you can enjoy it wherever.
They always ask if you want furikake on top, and the sauces (speak up if you really don’t want it but it does add flavor!)

I got the pork katsu bento for lunch. It was much larger than I anticipated (a good thing) and all items were fantastic. The pork katsu was a complete knockout - so tender, juicy, and flavorful. Rice was cooked perfect and the salad with dressing was wonderful too.
Service was great - the lady working the counter was so sweet. Restaurant was clean and cute with the records and Japanese decorations. They even had a little toy shop for the kids.
Food took about 20min, but well worth it! I’ll be back.

Ford Island Dog Park
1275 Saratoga Boulevard, HonoluluNever busy, plenty of parking right next to it, and big enough for our Belgian to open up and run. The only drawback is there's no shade in the big dog area. They do have water hoses hooked up and bowls there for you to cool you pups off, though.
