At the residential building, I give treats to 6 dogs of different owners at least once a day. Sometime maybe twice. Their products are suited for dogs of different sizes and some of these dog owners I know has purchased Bow Wow product’s themselves. I recommend Bow Wow. I have been a customer for over 2 years. They are honest and professional. Dogs visiting at the open market get free treats to break the ice. Visit them with or without a dog.

Mai and her team are literally the BEST in town. We found Mai 12 years ago when we moved to Hawaii and after our baby had her tongue cut off by a previous groomer in CA. Mai is so gentle, patient, and good with the dogs. Her cuts are perfection! I have sat and watched numerous times how well the staff treats the pups and how great they are with handling them, baths, and cuts. The holiday photos at the end of each session always have us laughing and it's our favorite part as dog paw-rents! Doggy Box is amazing. Please don't make an appointment though because it's hard enough getting my pups booked for an appointment when everyone knows how fabulous they are.

They do a good job and I can tell my dog enjoys herself while she’s there. I’ve had experiences at other groomers in the area where my dog is very anxious when I pick her up…but never here. That’s how I know the groomer does a fantastic job with the dogs making them feel safe and loved while they’re there. You know the non-verbal communication you have with your dogs? Yeah, that’s how my dog told me she approves. She now wags her tail when I ask if she wants a haircut. ???

The day of the procedure Dr. Ako called multiple times to give us updates on the process, which was so appreciated. He called the next day to check on her and called to explain the pathology results. His updates helped ease our anxiety and let us know she was in great hands.
Thank you Dr. Ako and all of the staff for taking such good care of our girl! Definitely recommend!

I love the fact that Dr. Kam dies the basic exam, vaccination, etc. in front of you. I’ve moved farther away from Kalihi & have tried closer vets, but don’t like the fact that they take my fur babies to another room doing who knows what or nothing at all without solving any medical issues. And one of them even had me tranquilize my Pit Bull just because she was just overly excited and just wants to love people. No tranquilizer per Dr. Kam and she was able to manage my Pit Bull with no muzzle. Anyway me and my fur babies Love Dr. Kam and her staff and pray she maintains good health and never retires. Thank You all for your Humbleness and genuine Love for animals, to include staying true to your motto: Treating & Loving Pets as Family!

I live on the westside now and I will drive all the way to town just to go to this clinic because Dr. Obara and his staff are awesome! This is the most honest and straightforward clinic I have ever been to and exactly what I seek in terms of customer service and their procedures. I’ve been to many other vets on this island and they are all dishonest clowns. They run you in circles and make you pay for unnecessary tests that doesn’t even make any sense. They don’t even give you a summary of the work that was done to justify the costs. Here at Kalihi Pet Clinic, they are on top of their treatments provided, very straightforward, affordable and don’t run you in circles. Very transparent and professional providing you with aftercare summary of the treatments provided so you don’t wonder if you’ve been ripped off. I am very satisfied and love this vet! I bring all my pets here even if I have to drive a long way.

Over the last year or two, my dog's arthritis and hip dysplasia has progressed, but so has our treatment plan. Most recently, he received PRP, the latest and greatest in treatments. While not cheap, it was covered by our pet insurance and has completely relieved my worries about him and his grumpy behavior as a result of pain. He's like a young puppy again, and I'm so grateful!
Each step along the way, Dr. Lau has been there for us. When we brought him in for his first visit, he had giardia, mange, and an infection in his nueter sutures. Then, from first identifying, testing,and treating his allergies (which were causing infections), to ongoing treatment for his arthritis, to the little moments like that time he ate a bunch of raisins and they were on the phone and ready and willing to assist. We've had dentals, teeth extractions, a small skin cyst removed.... you name it. Truly this practice cares about my dog and is proactive in treating not just his symptoms, but the root cause. As a first time pet owner, I have been endlessly grateful for their care, concern, and willingness to teach me.

I wanted to do that particular option because I think it's very important you learn along the way because not only is your dog getting training, but you are too on how to handle your dog properly. These classes taught me so much! I was assigned to Crystal and when I first met her, I noticed her high positive energy and I knew she would be exactly what we needed. She was so easy to talk to, addressed every concern I had in ways that was so simple to correct and learn from. I cant put it in enough words on how much I recommend this company and if you get Crystal, you will be very lucky! You can see her passion in training and she is always happy and so positive! Island Dog Obedience

We did a two week board and train with our 11 month old Labrador puppy, Slater and I can say with confidence, it was worth every penny! Our boy came back to us with so many positive behaviors. He now walks beautifully in heel and off leash, responds to a slew of new commands, is able to “place” when we have guests over and has better recall than we ever expected!
A bonus for us was the daily photos and videos that Maria sent. It was such a treat to see his progress unfold… and receive proof that he was not only learning, but also happy and loved!

The website and photos of Pounce Hawai'i made me feel like it's a great place to bring her for a spa treatment. The communication with the staff was easy via texts and we were able to get an appointment set up quickly. On the day of the appointment, both Luna and I were nervous about how this would turn out. Kaipo is always anxious in the beginning, but seems comfortable with Jun and his wife and dog Hana.
We tried using Rover, but it was usually hit or miss and not very reliable. They also charge you as soon as the dates are reserved
with added fees.
We know with Jun that we a professional dog walker, a clean house and yard, and a friendly playmate in Hana. Waikiki Wags charge after the stay is completed and there is no hidden fees.

Their staff is amazing and always takes good care of our fur baby. They have cameras in the play room and his suite. They keep us well informed of Kekoa while we are on vacation. Lucky Paws Animal Foundation
2875 S King St #102, HonoluluAn amazing boarding resort for cats, very clean, safe secured, well maintained, nicely decorated, high tech with web cams, and friendly caring staff. Conveniently located in town near HHS. The owner founder Chris is a super nice guy too. Attended a cat-themed event there recently and totally loved it. Their rates are reasonable, I will be boarding my cats here when I travel next time or otherwise need to board overnight (house tenting). The best part is in their logo: 'Every stay save a stray '. Gotta love their mission that they save and adopt out rescued cats. Follow their FB or Insta pages, and visit their website, they also need volunteers and donations to support their rescue operations.

Ford Island Dog Park
1275 Saratoga Blvd, HonoluluNever busy, plenty of parking right next to it, and big enough for our Belgian to open up and run. The only drawback is there's no shade in the big dog area. They do have water hoses hooked up and bowls there for you to cool you pups off, though.
