“The ladies who work here- especially at the makeup/perfume counters are some of the most sweet, helpful, kind, and beautiful women on the island. They are always dressed to the nines and give the greatest customer service. I've been coming to pick up all my Estee Lauder products for the last couple years after realizing ordering the same off Amazon means fakes. Also- the Christmas trees look so cool every year. Like Martha Stewart level!”

“A huge store, comfortable to relax & take time shopping. The tourist souvenir section offer lower prices than other stores. Huge variety of swimming suits and things you may need for enjoying your beach & pool time. Parking lot is huge and easy to navigate if you just take it easy & go slow.”

“The Kona WalMart & their famous wall of SPAM .. see photo !!Since World War ll, spam has remained an island staple. It's available everywhere. Even the McDonald's inside this Walmart, SPAM & rice is a featured meal.On the brighter side, the WalMart's in Hawaii have a huge assortment of quality Hula material for those talented enough to sew & craft. They also carry an entire department of Hawaiian based tourist items at prices far below the gift-shops. The 4 star rating is due to WalMart discontinuing their complimentary shuttle bus from the cruise ship dock to the store. This is a serious setback for crew members who need to stock up on personal items & can't afford taxi cab service.This store sits high in the hills above town & has the best unobstructed view of the Kona Coast & Pacific Ocean in all of this beautiful area's landscape.”

“I’ve been to a few Ross stores in different states, but this one really stands out - always well stocked with a variety of attractive merchandise at a good price. You can find what you need and more. The store is clean, pleasant, and well-organized. The management and staff here are doing a great job. The store is surely one of the best shopping attractions and experiences in Kona.”

“Shanaye is very hospitable. I usually have cruddy interactions at this location, cashiers usually act as if I’ve burdened them by going through their line but she has been very welcoming, kind and even went out of her way to help me with finding the right price on an item that was incorrectly marked. She was training Naea and I think she makes an excellent trainer, hopefully he takes on her great customer service and attitude”

“I love target, and I love Starbucks, but the target Starbucks employee was not so loved by me I got a caramel Frappuccino and a a mocha Frappuccino, but I was very mad when they asked me are you sure you want to get that and gave me attitude? I didn't think it was very nice even though I was trying to be nice it made me mad and disappointed. I think, overall I still like Starbucks, but I thought he came on a little strong and rude”
