2727 IL-53, Long GroveWe would like to give a huge shout out and appreciation to Kamp K9. From our initial contact with Rhiannon, we were immediately put at ease and excited. We adopted a dog on Christmas, and within a week, we had him enrolled in the one-on-one boot camp 4-week training program. It is difficult to say who enjoyed the experience more, myself or my dog. Every member of the staff was exceptionally kind and consistently demonstrated a positive demeanor, which is understandable given they are around adorable dogs all day. Rhiannon's work with Marshal was outstanding; she provided us clear and precise instructions. We particularly valued the personalized one-on-one training sessions and the daily video updates on his progress.

Midwest School of Pet Grooming
3976 IL-22, Long GroveThis feisty 5 lb pooch was impossible to groom. After we adopted her , we were unable to find a groomer that was willing take the time and patience. We ended up at the vet with sedated grooming - it was horrible. When we brought Rosie to Midwest school, they welcomed her and insisted on no relaxers or cbd etc. They were able to work on her schedule , read her needs to give breaks and give her so much love as well. The confidence i now feel taking her for a groom has given me so much peace of mind. I am beyond grateful to have found Midwest school of dog grooming and will be a lifer. So many thanks - cannot gush about you all enough !!! ??❤️

5129, RFD, Long GroveHighly recommend Monica and the fine canine for training and ongoing boarding/training refreshes. Our cavapoo puppy was a total menace and completely unmanageable. After training with Monica, she came back like a new dog - she learned so many commands and is so well behaved now. Monica saved our sanity and brought the enjoyment back to having a puppy/dog added to our family. I told her she is a miracle worker. We are forever grateful!

The staff was kind and helpful, and the cafe was clean and well-maintained. I would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great place to grab a drink or something to eat. 235 Robert Parker Coffin Road, Long GroveThe Detroit-style pizza has now become my favorite. (Philip Smith's review was spot on.) I don't think I've ever enjoyed pizza this much. We sat outside which overlooked a pond. Lovely setting. Our server, whose name escapes me now, was friendly and attentive. It was a busy, summer afternoon so it took a while to get our pizza, hence 4 stars rather than 5, but little did I know it was worth the wait. We will definitely be going back.

This is the oldest tavern in Illinois, so there's a lot of history to soak up while you enjoy the good food and a drink. The locals that frequent our cast of lively characters who embraced all newcomers. The tavern acts as a hub to the local community, host the various social groups and clubs. Well worth a visit if you're in the area!

Buffalo Creek Brewing
360 Historical Lane, Long GroveI visited this brewery while in town visiting friends. It has a pretty typical indoor space with high tops, a long bar, and tables. The brewery skews towards German style brewing which again, is pretty typical of a lot of breweries.
The location really shines with its outdoor patio. There is a big outdoor area which is very family (and pet) friendly. They often have live music on the weekend. The brewery itself doesn't have any food, but they have rotating food trucks that come in. The day we were there it was a wood fired pizza truck which was pretty good. Everyone in our group had a good time, and I liked the overall vibe. I will note there were a lot of kids (between us our group of our adults had four kids) so keep this in mind if you go.
Overall the beer was good, the atmosphere was perfect for the summer, and we enjoyed our time at this spot.
