We came in asking for assistance in a situation where the bank could very well have stood on principles and internal rules. Not that what we were asking violated any rules, just that in the exercise of the use of employee time, a denial of assistance would have been totally understandable. We spoke with the manager, Sheree, and ended up with Jasmine to complete what we needed. What could have been a neutral to negative experience got transformed by Sheree and Jasmine to an enjoyable junket to the bank to work with friends who had your back and made you feel that if they could do anything, they would. We love this bank.”

“I have been with Credit Union 1 at the University of Chicago at Illinois for decades and have always found its staff professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Ms.Ouissal Kerberg is in a class by herself. Over the three years that I have worked with her, she has shown those characteristics and abilities to an exemplary degree. Indeed, I believe she has been the most helpful of all these good employees. Last year a check of mine was stolen in the mails and the information washed out so that a utility check was address to a person I've never heard of for $4,900, instead of $54! Luckily, I still had the carbon of that check, and Ouissal cleared the matter up over the phone so that my money was restored in about 3 days. She has also facilitated travel plans by reporting my travel dates and destinations so that I have never had a card rejected. Once when I was in Florence, Italy and my debit card was compromised, she supplied me another debit card on the same day that I came the CU1 to ask for help. I have the highest regard for her personally and professionally.”

“North Side Federal is the reason we have our building. They worked with my mother so that she could make it happen and then they did the same for us when she passed. They are helpful, personal, and caring. I am so glad not to be part of those big banks like Chase, Wells Fargo and Bank of America… that don’t care anything about their clients and just profit off of us. NSF used to literally call me to warn me if a check was going to bounce, giving me a chance to fix it. They don’t provide that service anymore, but I still feel that taken care of! “I've been banking here at SSCFCU for probably 10 years now. The customer service is very good. But there were times when I had to stand in a long line at the drive through banking and I didn't have a car. I was so agitated by this and I did let it be known. The bankers did go out of their way to accommodate me. My only agitation now is today is Saturday May 1, 2021 and I have a deposit to make but because they are not open on Saturdays at this time, I have to wait until Monday to make a deposit. This is why I'm giving you 4 stars instead of 5. Your hours are already short during the week and your only open 3 days. It would be nice to get some Saturday service again especially when the City is opening up more at this time.”

“This venue was perfect for a wedding! It is beautiful on its own, absolutely iconic. We had around 145 guests and used both floors. Makayla was great to work with. The whole team of Builders BLDG and Prime & Provisions was welcoming and flexible. Everything was set up as expected. We got a ton of compliments on the food. Drinks were awesome. They were also very accommodating with vendors (as long as properly insured) and decor. Highly recommend including the clubhouse for cocktail hour. 10/10 my husband and I would choose this place time and time again!”

“I maybe be a lot of years late reviewing, but so far to this date, I have only attended 1 taping of Wait Wait Don't Tell Me dating back to September 9th, 2010 when the late Carl Kasell was still alive and the announcer and score keeper for the show. The panelists for that episode, were Tom Bodett, Faith Saillie, Peter Grosz, with Lisa Lampanelli as the Not My Job Guest. If you have ever attended a taping of the show you know that the show runs somewhere between 90 minutes and 2 hours to tape. Which then the show gets edited down to fit about an hour with of material for broadcast on WBEZ and member NPR stations, so depending on the time it takes them to tape the show, and even what else they have to do after the tapings, is to go back and re-tape any lines the crew members feel did not come in good enough turning the tapings. Since I have attended they have redone the theater that is done in, which at the time audience members could sit anywhere they want in the theater, no it is assigned seating in the theater. I have never been back in all the years, and the other times that I have seen the show live is the last 3 times that they have recorded in Millennium Park, as the show is popular, as when they have done it that tapings would be sold out generally and still assume when taping dates would be put on sale.”

She went out of the office to count the cash and deposit the check I wrote and when she came back she informed me I have given her $500 more than the cash I mentioned and what to do about it I told her to put it in my checking account. I was so impressed by her honesty and integrity.. She could have not told me of the error which my husband said he was in a hurry when he counted and handed me the cash but instead ****** was honest enough to tell me of the error.
