Dr Mateles is so caring, and very knowledgeable. She spent a great amount of time with our pooch at each visit. We were always able to get an appointment when we needed. When our pooch declined she told us the signs to watch for. Our family is very grateful for all the love and care we received from the entire staff. Our sweet doggie is now in heaven and we will see him again one day.

The reason for the four star rating is because I wish they have camera access from afar like some kennels do. Whether it’s day camp or boarding. The Saturday hours are difficult for some when people come back into town.. Overall awesome place!

9510 W Central Rd, GlenviewThis is a hidden gem. Compassionate, expert, extremely high quality dog training at a fraction of the cost as other places. First it’s a non-profit and I feel like they do this because they care about the dogs. I reached out to them when I was at my wit’s end re: the dog I got as a puppy when COVID hit in March 2020, so no training at all. She is now 70 pounds as a 1-year-old and pulls, doesn’t respond to commands, pulls me down, not fully potty trained,... I needed immediate help and didn’t know if I should give her up. They had me come in right away and started helping me get control of the situation. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable, have been doing this a long time, and gave us solid advice that worked. The class times fit within my schedule and the classes are not overcrowded like you see at other places. The cost is right on the schedule on their website. Way cheaper than any other place. Very, very reasonable cost for classes. I can’t say anything better about this place.

2131 Willow Rd, GlenviewDengeos is a quick and easy food spot in the Glenview area. One can choose to order through the drive-through to go or order inside and enjoy immediately. The inside was very clean and had plenty of seating to accommodate a large dining crowd. They have a variety of menu items offering hotdogs, burgers, sandwiches, salads, gyros and more. Their specialty is certainly their gyro which did not disappoint. The meat was flavorful, pita sofa, and a good amount of toppings included. I also got a hotdog which had a steamed bun and good taste. Their fries were perfectly crispy. Our lunch in total was $20 which I felt wasn't bad.

1127 Depot St, GlenviewI decided to check out Hometown based on a review and recommendation by a fellow Yelp elite member. It was a good recommendation. My visit to this fine establishment was worth it. We went here on late Saturday morning. The shop was busy and packed. The ordering line was long enough to be by the entrance and by the time we left it was almost out the door. The shop's staff was doing a good job of keeping up with the orders from the influx of patrons. It was all hands on deck. The ordering line was moving quickly. At our turn, we ordered: 1) A Tropical Escape smoothie w/ coconut milk 2) A Daily Fix smoothie w/ coconut milk 3) An ice Honey Cinnamon Oat Latte 4) A Machiatto 5) A slice of Blueberry Oat Bran cake 6) A Cranberry Orange scone 7) A S'more Shookie We didn't have to wait too long for our order which was to-go given the number of people ahead of us. Everything was good. My favorites were the Tropical Escape smoothie, the cake, and the Honey Cinnamon Oat Latte. I liked this place a lot and will be going back for more. Next time, I want to try their coffee.

2200 Waukegan Rd, GlenviewWe have been going to Chinatown Kitchen since their kids were little and now they are in college. The food has always been fresh and delicious. Takeout area always clean and you can see an area of kitchen same way. We have certain preferences that we do not want put into the food and we are very happy the results and the tastes. Have on occasion, friends, tried other places, but always went back to Chinatown Kitchen. Like a good marriage why go somewhere else if you are happy there?!!!!!
