110 Kellogg Ave, AmesI absolutely love taking my dog to get groomed at Serenity. This is the third dog grooming place that I've taken my pup to in Ames and is by far my favorite. Not only is everyone here welcoming and friendly, but you can genuinely tell that they care for the furry friends that come to them. I can still remember my first call to make an appointment and how refreshed I was with the customer service over the phone. For me, that interaction translated to when I came in for the first time. My pup is 14 years old, has lumps and bumps, and can have dryer seizures, which are things I was very up front about. Immediately, they made me feel confident in the grooming they'd provide by responding with the measures that they take to accommodate our older furry friends. Caleb is the fantastic groomer who takes care of my dog, and he does wonderful. He's willing to listen and implement changes to the grooming if I ask, and he is always nice. Overall, Serenity Pet Spa makes the scheduling, drop-off, and pick-up process seamless. A bonus for me is that my pup comes home not only with a fresh haircut but also a sweet little bandana.

Doctor Sara is thorough and takes extra caring time to answer all questions. The staff has a calming knack for the family pets.
Impressive is they recognize and recommend impending preventative care issues, w/o pressure. Their prices are convenient and affordable.
I always exit smiling and knowing my pups, Charlie and Sheen, had the best experience and professional care.

He diagnosed our beloved kitty with a terminal condition and was so patient, kind and compassionate through the process of helping her cross the rainbow bridge. He explained everything so we would know what to expect, as this was the first time our family had gone through this. He is patient and gentle and it is obvious how much he truly cares about his patients and their families.

I also have celiac (gluten free) and my wife has a dairy allergy so finding food in town can be a challenge to say the least. In this context, Lockwood truly felt like an oasis of sorts. I want to sincerely thank them for their work to cultivate the space they have and to thank them for giving me hope for the future of Ames itself. I feel truly seen in a positive way for once!

Brisket was so juicy and Omgoodness melt in your mouth tender (without being mushy) hubs devoured huge portion of the Briskey Dipper also 10:10! Jalapeño hush puppies with a spicy aïoli & hallelujah potatoes were nice balance with the meats! Never could eat it all in one meal that just means we’re also enjoying today! So juicy it warms up nicely! Highly recommend can’t wait to go back and try more menu items!
