“We saw Wicked here on November 26, 2025 and had a great experience. It was super busy, but the staff was very friendly and patient. The sound and visual quality in the theater was excellent. It feels good to support a local theater as well. Highly recommend!”

“Beautiful hidden gem we found on the internet while shopping for Christmas. Outstanding customer service who went beyond the norm to ensure mom recieved her beautiful earrings. They are stunning in person and reading the back story on the corn used to print the jewlery made it such a unique gift this holiday. Thank you so much for going that extra step. Customer service is beyond 5 stars.”

“When my dad was in a terrible crash in Iowa, our entire family’s life changed in an instant. My stepmom and younger brother were both rushed to the ICU, and my dad sadly passed away from his injuries. None of us were from Iowa, so on top of the heartbreak, we had no place to stay and no idea how to manage everything that was happening.

That’s when Ronald McDonald House became a lifeline. They gave our whole family a place to stay close to the hospital, so we could be there every day for my stepmom and brother while also trying to process the loss of my dad. Having a safe, supportive place to come back to at night meant we could focus on what really mattered—being together and taking care of each other.

Ronald McDonald House helped my entire family during the hardest time of our lives. It wasn’t just about a room to sleep in—it was about feeling like we weren’t alone, that there were people who cared and wanted to help us through.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving us a home and comfort when we needed it most.

“I’ve been going to this YMCA for about 4 years now and I would definitely say it is the best YMCA in the area. If you live downtown I definitely would recommend to come here if they have a activity you enjoy”

“They are so friendly and welcoming to u almost forget they are giving you a donation! It feels more like a full service experience.
They enjoy meeting the pets they are helping and they are able to give me better food than I can afford to get them myself! So we all appreciate it! ?”

“Wonderful thrift store. Everything organized very nicely and very clean. Rarely will you find anything that is hung up with some sort of a flaw. Good pricing and the rewards program is the best around.”

“This is a nice place where older people can gather and dance and listen to music from local bands the prices are fair. Everyone seems pretty nice but you kind of feel at a place if you don’t belong or don’t go there or enough that everybody knows you the help most are very helpful. I’ve only had experience with one bad one, and I don’t think she’d have a problem with me if it were under different circumstances, but I rate this a Fun Pl., Klien also”

“I absolutely love going to the Salvation Army Des Moines Temple Corps. It is sad to say Lieutenants Joey and Pamela Gates are leaving this post, but their leadership in this church has definitely been amazing in the essence of helping me come back to God and turn away from my old ways.”

“Tectum Roofing just completed my new roof. They did an amazing job. I would recommend them to anyone needing to replace their roof. They were professional, polite, meticulous and thorough., upfront about everything they did. They went over and above the standard. They came up witha prospectus that was perfect for my situation. They even fixed things that the roofers who did my roof last year screwed up. At no extra cost. Can't say enough good things about TECTUM”

“I'd be dead if I hadn't been admitted here, I stayed 6 months and left a much better person. Obviously not every staff member is perfect, but they're all working for the interest of the kids. I felt that every staff member truly cared for the kids there and wanted to help them.”
