“Let me just start with saying CJ has been MORE than helpful every single time we come to this location. I have never had someone so respectful, mindful, helpful & caring in retail whether it is 4 hours or 4 minutes to close.
In no way have I ever had someone go so out of their way to find different sizes for my hot topic loving 9 year old. He deserves a raise & all of the recognition in the world - if he has not yet been named employee of the year he very much should be!!
I cannot express my gratitude, always looking out for us for deals, coupons & recommendations. I could keep going on & on & it still wouldn't be enough. Staff was very kind ..it was the first time shopping w a small child and he was a bit overwhelmed by all the amazing Toys IE wanting to grab etc
Their verbiage was really kind to us “please be gentle with the toys we need to sell them to someone !” Vs “stop playing w the merchandise “ or something else that could of been totally mean.
I was impressed by that I’m new at this parenting thing so made me feel good and want to buy more and be more mindful when shopping ..

“I had such a blast looking through the racks here and found some incredible deals on designer clothes that I usually see for way higher prices. The store was really well-organized, so even though there were a lot of items to look at, it didn't feel overwhelming to find my size in the jeans and jackets section. I ended up finding a pair of high-quality boots and a really soft sweater that I know I will wear all the time. The checkout line moved surprisingly fast for a busy Saturday, and the staff was very polite and wrapped everything up carefully. It is definitely my favorite spot to go when I want to update my wardrobe without spending a fortune.”
“I was BLOWN AWAY by the customer service here! The ladies working 8/18/23 saw I was carrying clothes to try on, politely came to me and took the clothes so I wasn’t carrying them around, and reserved me a dressing room. With perfect timing, they asked if they could grab me any other sizes. The other stores I visited before don’t even compete with how I was treated here. I always like to give gifts that are thoughtful and something that a person cant see at one of the big box stores or see someone else owning it. I heard about this boutique and couldn't wait to go see. It didn't dissapoint. The owner greeted me with a smile. This quaint boutique is thoughtfully packed with tons of locally created gems, jewelry, art, food, clothing and more. Its one of the places where you could stand in one spot and just move your head around for several minutes and find so many treasures. Also the creative in me was inspired by so many things. While one employee told me the item was in “storage.”Jackie, the store manager, went above and beyond looking through several boxes to locate the item I was looking to purchase. She didn’t have to do that on a busy Friday evening, but she did! It’s the little things that matter. She was very personable and has the customer- first mindset. I walked in looking for a dress I saw on the window and she showed me where to find it, offered to show me the fitting rooms, brought me different size dresses to help me find the perfect fit. I didn’t up purchasing the dress there at the store but I loved it so much I had to order it online. She was so nice and made my experience special!”
“Great location, lots of clothes and items to choose from, but I didn't find much I liked. Most of the designs I liked were the new polyester athletic material and I'm not a big fan of those. The cotton or vintage shirts were all weird designs that I didn't particularly like. If you like the polyester clothing, you'll be right at home with a huge selection. I ended up with a vanity plate for my car and am very happy with it!”

“J Crew recently rolled out a new credit card which I applied for the first day it was available at a store in Kansa City. There were all sorts of issues and the card was not able to be used that day. I was able to go to our local store in West Des Moines and get everything transferred from another card to the new J Crew card thanks to the help of Karlie. Very impressed with the customer service!!”
“EXCELLENT customer service! Rushed there after a shift at work to get new pants. I haven’t shopped for new in years so it was a def trial and error event. Lol. They were attentive, patient, informative, and helpful. Considering it was less than an hour til close and they had decent amount of traffic still etc they didn’t let it affect how they were with customers! Far and few do you see this anymore!”

I didn't catch her name but she helped me with a most likely pretty rare issue I had with customer service about an online order. Customer service sent me to the store and even though there wasn't much she could do on her end she advocated for me to customer service over the phone for quite some time while also managing a busy floor and checking out many people at the counter. I really appreciate it!”

“I was surprised to see Des Moines has an Urban Outfitters. Iowa just got much more hip. The decor and concrete block facade you see as you’re entering the mall through Barnes and Nobles gives some edginess to Jordan’s Creek Mall. As usual, Urban style makes all the other retailers’ fashion seem lame. Great store!”

“This was my first visit to AE and I'm sad I hadn't visited prior to today! Their selection is incredible and they truly have everything that you are looking for. I needed to refresh my winter coat options and found many options worth considering here - as well as cute sweaters to get me through the rest of winter. Morgan helped me find the best options and her knowledge on every product she showed me was incredible and so helpful! The store was clean and organized and the employees did a really great job of being present with every person in the store. I will be back!”
