8212 Seneca View Dr, GaithersburgI cannot say enough wonderful things about Ashley and the Pawfectionist. They groomed my paralyzed dog, and from start to finish, the experience was wonderful. Finding a groomer who is confident, compassionate, and knowledgeable with special-needs dogs isn’t easy — but they exceeded every expectation.
Ashley and her husband were so kind, patient, and genuinely caring with my pup. They treated him with dignity and tenderness, making sure he was comfortable the entire time. I also received pictures and updates throughout the appointment.
And the results? He looked amazing. Clean, fresh, beautifully groomed — and most importantly, happy.
If you have a special-needs dog (or any dog!), I highly recommend them. We will absolutely be back. ?

Bahar was incredibly kind, patient, and gentle while trimming and treating his nail. She did a fantastic job and made my pup & us feel so much better. 12086 Stansbury Dr, MonroviaWe've brought our standard poodles to Audrey for several years. They are always excited to see her, and we have been delighted with her results. Out normal appointment is wash, cut, and blow with a mani/pedi. It takes a full two hours - sometimes a bit longer to complete a Standard Poodle. Normally, we specify details of our poodle cuts. The most recent time however, we asked Audrey to style what she thought best. The result was gorgeous - something we'd not have thought of. She is an artist. Audrey takes only one dog at a time, so she's completely focused on each. The studio is located in her home's lower level with professional equipment and always clean. She likes the color purple. Audrey has her own dogs and is obviously a dog lover. This, IMO, is a characteristic that sets her apart from other groomers who do the work mechanically on a supervised deadline. TIP: Reserve an appointment ASAP. Audry's appointments are normally booked weeks in advance. ADVICE: Do not let your dog free roam the fenced backyard. One of the sheds is a chicken coop that gets our poodles super excited. The chickens definitely do not like barking and jumping dogs at their chicken wire fence.

117 Booth St, GaithersburgI frantically contacted Kentlands Veterinary Hospital when I needed urgent help with my dog. It was near closing and my own vet practice wouldn't stay late to see my dog. I called an emergency vet and they said there was an 8 hour wait. I called Kentlands vet and said I wasn't a client, but I desperately needed help. The doctor offered to stay late to see my dog even though I wasn't a client. She is clearly passionate about animals, placing their needs above her own. She was quickly able to diagnose the problem and literally saved me hours of waiting and hundreds of dollars at the emergency vet. I was so grateful for the excellent care and even more for the extreme kindness in our time of need. Can't say enough wonderful things about this place!

9041 Gaither Rd, GaithersburgExcellent service and phenomenal care. My dog had a routine dental and discovered that he would need several extractions so he was referred here to Dr. Taney. This place is top notch with excellent care, everyone is so kind and knowledgeable, and state of the art equipment is used. They called me every step of the way so I knew exactly what was happening with my dog and I knew he was in good hands. His procedure went smoothly and he needed less teeth extracted than originally thought, but he did need a filling on one of his canines! We were discharged by Dr. Garber who is also very kind - the discharge instructions are also very thorough and they called to check on him the next day. Overall great experience and highly recommend!

14426 Turkey Foot Rd, GaithersburgVisiting Dr. Nave Dhillon and his assistant Renee's practice is a slice out of James Herriot's "All Creatures Great and Small." They provide the same humane, practical, reasonable care that keeps fostering and fur-baby family-members affordable. Our 13-year cat Opie had a chipmunk cheek one day last month, which turned out to be an abscess caused by a rotten tooth. Our local vet charged us $600 for bloodwork, antibiotic, and a rabies shot, then offered to sort out the teeth for $1,200-2,000. I checked with Turkey Foot; Renee was able to work Opie in within the week for a quarter of the cost, and our little guy has been back to normal ever since. Dr. Dhillon treats animals that others won't touch, such as a feral cat I trapped, who was so wild that he needed to be anesthetized in a cage before he could be neutered. They really listen to my concerns and provide thorough answers and after-care check-ins. I particularly appreciate that Renee texted a picture of Opie recovering after surgery.

The veterinarian is very informative and comes from personal experience when she provides me with guidance on matters concerning my cat. I have no complaints! My dog is shiba, having thick fur and shedding occasionally.
I am satisfied with their service.
Good communication, very clean fur, de-shedding well by furminater, great nail trimming, reasonable time and price (2h, $60)
Because their major business is daycare, they know dog's behavior very well, and try to reduce their stress as much as possible by finishing quick.
My dog is very clean and fluffy after grooming in the picture.
I'd like to use daycare too :)

My cat, Kira, can be a bit finicky and fearful, so I was nervous about leaving her for a weekend trip. I found Erica from Wags to Whiskers, through a web search, and was very excited that she serviced the Kentlands. During the meet-and-greet, Erica took the time to get to know Kira and her routine and preferences. For example, Erica asked about Kira’s favorite toys, and where she might hide.
When I am away, Erica sends daily text updates and pictures, which puts my mind at ease. When I return home, Kira is happy and relaxed. The litter box is clean, and her food, and water fountain are full.
Erica’s reliable, attentive, and loving care make my trips much more enjoyable because I don’t have to worry about the care Kira is receiving. I would definitely recommend her to other pet owners as Eric cares for Kira as if she were her own! And that is hard to find!

We have a few skittish kitties and they always make the extra effort to make them feel loved and comfortable. They are also super communicative and keep us in the loop throughout their visits. We are always nervous to travel without our pets, but Wagnificent takes a lot of the stress out of the process and we always know our kitties are in great hands.

Best Friends Pet Hotel

We took our tiny 6-month-old bird in for her first check-up, and Dr. H was so kind and sweet to our scared little one. She had a feisty little doggo in the exam room next to us, and she had the little canine moved to another room because our bird was terrified of the barking. She assessed our bird, Mango, and gave us such valuable tips and info. Her assistant was lovely as well. We had some follow-up questions about our birdie's care days later, and she responded promptly as soon as we emailed (9 pm, btw). Who is this angel?! We feel so lucky to have found her!

We ordered everything with "medium" spice level and found that some of the dishes were a little too mild. The curries and saag paneer had wonderful flavor, however. At the end, we were served a complimentary dessert - a small (just-right) serving of rice kheer. Lovely way to end a delicious meal!

The baklava was an interesting presentation since I've never seen this item prepared with 3 different nuts. Overall a wonderful meal. We've been here before and will be back again soon. Our waitress, Jonit, was attentive, very knowledgeable about the menu, and very professional.

However, the last two times we were there, we found the servers to be pretty unpleasant, to the point now that we debate whether it is worth the 25 min drive over. I know that I am not anywhere near being any kind of unpleasant customer, so I don't really understand the curt interactions, which make me feel quite unwelcome. I hope that the staff see this and think about it. I am hoping that their behavior with customers doesn't mean that the business is on the brink of failing, as my husband and I think they have some of the best beers in the area.

15966 Shady Grove Rd, GaithersburgHad a great night out this past weekend at 7 Billiards Shady Grove in Gaithersburg, MD with my cousins — fun, relaxed, and exactly what we were looking for. This place has become a solid local spot for hanging out, playing pool, and just enjoying a friendly Friday night.
The location is pretty central, right off Shady Grove Road in a shopping area. It can be a little tricky to find at first since it’s tucked toward the back of the strip, but once you get there, it’s worth it. The space has multiple pool tables in good condition and the layout works well for groups. They also have dart boards set up if you want a break from the tables.
We arrived around 5 PM on a Friday and the place was already filling up — definitely recommend getting there a bit earlier or later to secure your table. There’s a happy hour and good drink options, which probably helps draw the crowd. The full bar has a nice selection of beers, cocktails, and bar snacks to keep you fueled while you play.
Everything about the setup worked well: the tables were in good shape, the cues were decent, the service was friendly, and the overall vibe was casual and fun — a great place for a night out with friends or family.
Parking was easy and plenty of space was available in the lot outside, so we didn’t have any issues finding a spot. It’s a nice bonus for a place you might want to visit regularly.
All in all, a solid spot for billiards, drinks, and good company — definitely planning to come back.
