“I've rented a few trucks from this location. They are a little unorganized. Let me tell you the story. I was rented three vans one day. The first one they rented me on a Sunday afternoon they sent me outside to find it and it was not even on the lot. The second one they rented me they sent me outside again. Granted they rarely leave the counter to walk you to the actual vehicle and assure it's actually where they assume it will be when they point. That second one was blocked in by another van they didn't have the key for so they rented me one last van that was out front and newly cleaned. I only planned on using it for 24 hours, but things happened beyond my control and I had to call and extend the reservation. They answered and said it was fine. Upon my return it came to about 175. No big deal I paid about 35 each day plus miles and filled up the gas tank.”

“Update: absolutely no bad issues for last 2 years. Will change my given rate.I was passionate for too long. This place in completely unprofessional. No personal question to the current guy who was helping me this morning. Def not his fault. This is the nearest location to my place, so I choose it for renting trucks and vans. 8 of 10 times I Got in troubles with their vehicles. I was switching it in New York state because of brakes problems, I was reloading 26ft truck to another because of wheels trouble on the way to Pittsburgh, they we’re giving me truck with no plates for long distance move while having bunch of available vehicles. And I also reloaded it to another one. And this time none of the vans are available. They are (attention!) broken. Both of them. Of course nobody told me about that. They called 3-4 days before every time to confirm the reservation but don’t give a chance to warn about such a troubles. Yes I got 10ft for the replacement. But it doesn’t change anything at the moment. I just got lucky the had replacement. This is not a big deal at once, but you guys do it systematically to me or my company. Because yes, I rent your vehicles to do my business and that is not funny at all to get there in the morning with thoughts about what issue I will get head to head this time. “An acceptable place to return a trailer in the DC areaA husband and wife launched U-Haul as a business in 1945. This truck and trailer rental service has grown to a large organization that has 23000 locations across the United States. We recently rented a small trailer to move some items to a location in DC. I have rented and returned from other locations but I have never returned an item to this location before. But like most people, I know that I do not use U-Haul very often. The location for this site is on the southwest corner of New York Ave NE and Bladensburg Ave NE. The area seems a little older than others but this place is easy to identify with a lot of trailers in a flat lot right next to the road. The entrance sign is well-marked. There is an open-air covered area to drive your return right up next to the building. It took a few minutes but a staff member came out to help us unhook the trailer and inspect it. Turn-in was that easy. I was impressed and happy that it was efficient and quick. Even with having to wait a few minutes for someone to come out, I was done and checked out in less than 15 minutes.”

“I was seen promptly, the clerk was friendly and the equipment was newer and in excellent condition (backup camera was a big plus). The clerk also called me right after I dropped off the van to remind me of a few things I left back in the store, which I was able to get. Parking at a nearby lot was plentiful on a Sunday. I highly recommend this location for U-Haul needs.”

“The first van they gave me had a faulty gas gauge. I lost time trying to figure it out at the gas station and had to return the vehicle. However, the staff were helpful and quickly assigned me another vehicle. They also refunded the money I spent on gas in the first vehicle. The second vehicle they gave me was new and in excellent shape. Overall would recommend this location for hours / location / services available.”

“Used the storage facility for just under a year. Everyone was helpful and kind whenever I had a question on billing or the doors stopped working again. Only 2 complaints are that they made me buy another puck style lock because the identical one I had wasn't UHAUL branded, and the loading area front door mechanism and keypad lock was always breaking, sometimes making loading in/out difficult. If they fix that, it's 5 stars. I'll be using them for truck rental, trailer hitch and more.”

“Have had to rent a truck twice and a cargo van twice in the last 2 months. I reserve online and everything is ready when i come in to pick it up. Employees are quick to check you in and theyre also kind. The after-hours drop off is easy to do. There was one time they didnt have any furniture pads but that was refunded right on the spot, and another time when their power went out because there was a crazy storm that passed thru the area (downed trees and all) but they were calm and very helpful. I would 100% recommend this uhaul location.”
