That said, they still have allied branches even in my state for times when I have to retrieve a cashier's check or other face-to-face transactions. They're always ready to help, whether it's giving me an extra envelope so I can deliver a check to someone, or suggesting if I'm cold to go grab a cup of coffee or tea in the waiting area. They're very good at providing a special, personal (human) touch -- it's why I chose them.
It's really convenient that I can do lots of things online with Lake Trust CU, but the best part is this: when I want to speak with a Real Human, they don't make me jump through hoops (or several different AI helpers) to do it -- I can just walk into the credit union, and wait for an available teller, and Boom! A Real Human, who's kind and considerate, is there to assist me. It's THAT part, that will keep me coming back as a loyal customer. They really care about their members, and it shows.

“Just opened account yesterday. And today thought I had lost my card, called in & the fellow I spoke with was very friendly & helpful. Instead of canceling out the card they locked it. then within moments of getting off the phone, I found it! called them back & again the lady I spoke with was very friendly asked if I had any plans or whatnot & told them just opened the day before. & she said welcome new member! & thought that was very nice of her! any way she was able to unlock my card & now is reactivated?All in all very pleased with Michigan First?”

I checked in at the kiosk and in less than 2 minutes Macy (sp) called me over and in less than 6 minutes it was all set up. She was business-like and knowledgeable. “The employees were very nice and efficient. They made sure I was most comfortable at all times. They helped me set up everything in a very timely manner and explained details that I was confused about.
But there was just one issue. I went in to set up my account transfer for a club and originally, no one told me that I needed any identification. When I went in the 2nd time, I was told that I needed two government issued IDs because of my citizenship status, without accepting any pictures. At the moment I didn't have it on me, and I'm a student living on campus so I had to have someone from my hometown to come deliver it to me. So I came back the next day, and they set my account up without needing ANY identification. This is so strange and frankly a big waste of my time. I'm not even sure why they needed 2 IDs. Now I'm here with my account all set up.”
“I have been a member for almost 13 years. Several times I have had scammers hack into my account/card, and every time it was handled quickly. They got my money refunded and printed new cards on the spot. When I was having trouble with my card being declined, a young man named Mark figured out the problem right away. I'm a loyal member.”

The new era in banking is different. Yes, there are now kiosk and check in tablets. Once you learn how to sign in its easy. And I've never waited longer than a few minutes as most would standing in a line at a financial institute. Be safe friends.”
“Location: 16861 Marsh Rd, Haslett. Also known as Bath branch. Close to M78/ W Saginaw Rd near I69 on-ramp. This location is larger than nearby Okemos branch. More convenient prkng. It's usually less busy. Normally just use the drive thru. Recently renovations to ATM area. Hope they didn't do away with the inside teller stations. Will update next time I visit.”
