“There are other post offices closer to my home, but I choose to drive a little further to use the Des Peres facility. The staff there have been much more personable and helpful than other post offices. As others have shared, Dottie rocks passport renewals! She carefully reviewed our applications today, stapled our checks to the appropriate spot on the form, and told me when and how to check on the progress of our renewal. Thank you Dottie!”

“This is a review for mail carrier Eric Ramirez. Eric took over for our regular mail carrier who went on maternity leave. We had a problem receiving some mail and he went out of his way to find out what the problem was even after working many hours. He's a valued employee and his positive attitude and friendliness was a pleasure and a rare commodity today.”

No line when I arrived. Friendly staff who communicated clearly. Grateful for my helper who quickly listened to, then acted on my concerns. Professional, effective, respectful and personal too! “Not sure why there’s so many bad reviews. I just went to send off my taxes for the first time and the people working were both very nice and patient. I think if you have some sort of complex you might not know or like how things are run but they are efficient and nice people! The post office is so important to our society so please be nice and polite to the workers and you’ll be treated the same.”
“Stopping by the post office in Clayton wasn't busy during my visit around noon on a Thursday. It’s a quick spot to get stamps, and the staff was super friendly. My only complaint is that the automatic door in the front wasn’t labeled.”
“For 13 years, I have used the Town & Country Post Office actively, often asking to hold mail when on trips, without a single failure. In my experience throughout that time, the staff has been responsive, pleasant, and courteous. Only once in that time have I had the mail another address come here, and only once has a letter to me been sent to another address. So, I'm puzzled at serious negative experiences with this post office.”

“I have recieved courteous & professional service from postal clerks, and on the other hand recieved service from rude, unprofessional clerks. This is the location assigned to my residence. So I enter with a smile my on my face, picing up and discarding tickets & receipts from previous customers. We must be the change we want to see...”

“G this is the worst post office I my area I’m about to share multiple experiences postmaster general needs to do something about this one get some new staff and a new postmaster in there. There staff absolutely hate their lives! Went in today 2/3/2024 tried to send certified mail to get a receipt with no postage necessary and federal law retaining to no postage on my letter envelope. Lady didn’t even look at it put the label over and tries to charge me which is a felony according to the law. Another incident I was in there mailing some stuff and I decided to take a picture of my envelope and the public lounge and one of the ladies who hate her life said I couldn’t film or take pictures inside public areas so I proceeded to film according to my first amendment They proceeded to call the police on me for the police to completely ignore me to go in and educate the postmaster of the posted rules on the wall! you guys are meant to uphold the constitution as an officer and a servant of we the people I only put five stars so my post actually gets seen because there’s so many bad reviews at this location! And absolutely please do not go to this office for your passport they’re way better places That know how to handle special American passports A.k.a. American non citizen US National passports they have no clue on the constitution and And how to actually run this post office!”

“I thought it'd be difficult getting in and out of the parking lot but it wasn't bad at all! The only employee I could see was extremely masterful at line control and making sure we could all get out as efficiently as possible. She was really patient and nice while still authoritative, which I think worked excellently in a place where people just want to get in and out. There were regulars who called her Brenda.”

“Oh wow! I read the reviews after dropping off a package a few days ago. I'm glad I didn't read them before because I might have avoided this location. Thankfully, I had a positive experience with a very pleasant young woman at the counter. There was even someone in there laying new tile to spruce up the place. No complaints from me. Hopefully they got rid of the problem.”

That being said, this is an old building (cool in its own way) that needs work in the entranceway, and I've had mixed experiences but overall positive with the staff.
