“I love shopping at this small family owned business. My wife and I come here for produce a couple times per week. Their produce is noticeably better than all of the grocery stores in the area. My guess is they have a longstanding relationship with the local suppliers because they always seem to have the best produce. Additionally the owners are so nice. And as others have mentioned, the homemade kimchi is fantastic. I'm so glad I tried it, as it's a weekly purchase now.”

“Puchu's Grocery & Deli is hands down the best deli I've ever had the pleasure of dining at. I can confidently say that I've been a loyal customer for the past eight years, and my affinity for this place only grows stronger with time. What makes Puchu's truly exceptional is not just the quality of their food, but the unparalleled customer service and their ability to fulfill any order, no matter how unique or unconventional it may be.The heart and soul of Puchu's are the two brothers who run the place. Their dedication to their craft and their customers is truly commendable. It's not just a deli; it's a place where you feel like you're among friends every time you walk through the door. Now, let's talk about the food – the main reason I keep coming back for more. The menu is extensive, and whether you're a fan of classic deli sandwiches or, like me, you have some slightly unusual tastes, Puchu's has you covered. One of my all-time favorites is their egg sandwich with jalapeños, extra ketchup, and Swiss cheese. This might sound like an odd combination to some, but trust me, the flavors blend together in such a harmonious way that it's become my go-to order. The eggs are always perfectly cooked, the jalapeños add a delightful kick, and the Swiss cheese and ketchup create a satisfying balance of creaminess and tanginess. But it's not just about this particular sandwich. Everything on the menu is prepared with the same level of attention to detail and passion for good food. Their meats are always fresh, their bread is soft and flavorful, and their ingredients are top-notch. Whether you're in the mood for a classic pastrami , a turkey club, or even a vegetarian option, Puchu's has something to satisfy every craving. What sets Puchu's apart is their willingness to accommodate your preferences. The brothers are more than happy to customize your order to your heart's content. If you want extra pickles, no problem. If you have a specific sauce or condiment request, they've got you covered. This level of personalized service is a rare find, and it's one of the reasons why Puchu's has become a second home for me.In addition to their incredible sandwiches, Puchu's also offers a selection of groceries and snacks, making it a one-stop-shop for all your deli and convenience store needs. It's convenient, and it's clear that they care about making life easier for their customers. In conclusion, Puchu's Grocery & Deli is more than just a deli – it's an experience. It's a place where the food is exceptional, the service is unbeatable, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I can't recommend it highly enough. If you haven't had the pleasure of trying their food yet, do yourself a favor and make a visit. You won't be disappointed, and you might just find yourself becoming a regular customer like me. Puchu's Grocery & Deli is a true gem in the world of delis, and I look forward to many more years of enjoying their delicious creations.”

“Stopped by the General today try out their new sandwich menu. It did not disappoint - two hours later and I’m still thinking about what a great sandwich the Suydam is. The fresh ingredients and flavors all come together perfectly. This is a made to order sandwich and the deli guy is super sweet and will substitute if something isn’t to your liking. I’ll be back to try them all”

“Super lovely people, always greet you warmly. They work hard, have a surprisingly big variety of ‘nicer’ drinks for a reasonable price along with the classic cheap snacks you’d want from a bodega.FYI This used to be Trini’s for decades and still has the same chill vibe. Fernando (friendly guy who ran the place, had 2 sons, retired to NC) but if he visited he’d feel right at home. Really glad to have a staple like this around, a friendly cornershop always makes the neighborhood extra cozy. *Bonus* is the chickens kept across the street at a private residence- have a look when you stop by.”

“Finding a quick lunch spot on a rainy day can be quite a challenge, given the abundance of choices in the area. However, despite my initial hesitation, choosing this particular place turned out to be the best decision. From the moment we stepped inside until the moment we left, it was evident that the family who owned this small business put in a tremendous amount of hard work. This hidden gem is an absolute must-try for everyone. It was a pleasure interacting with the daughter, son, and the mom, who served as both the owner and cook.Being a foodie and chef myself, I couldn't resist approaching the owner and asking her to surprise me with her recommendations. She delighted me with two delicious pupusas, a mouthwatering breakfast burrito, and a delectable baleada. These choices were absolutely fantastic. On my next visit, I am definitely going to try the beef soup and the Cuban, which unfortunately were sold out this time. It's no surprise that everyone was craving soup on such a rainy day. And let's not forget about the addictive passion fruit or mango smoothie!Overall, this place exceeded my expectations and left me craving for more. It's a true gem that deserves all the recognition it can get.”

“Solid local artisan cheese shop. They have a wonderful assortment of hot sauces, drinks, snacks, dips, condiments, etc. Their OG Krystal? crystal? Is sublime. I was not aware cheese could have a chewy texture to it. That may not sound appetizing but it was worth every cent!Come here for the grilled cheese it’s a little wait but worth it! Anytime I come the staff is knowledgeable but more-so helpful.I was surprised they sold Maldon Sea Salt Flakes I had in Scotland that was not an arm and a leg.I bought a bunch of things here for my wedding anniversary and my husband loved everything! This would be a better cheese pull video but I didn’t eat it until I walked about 20 minutes home. *just to give you an idea of how delicious their grilled cheese is!”

“When I first started going in the store after I moved in the neighborhood, their sandwiches were DISGUSTING. They didn't give me what I ordered, the bacon was deep fried in old oil, very hasty with money.Since September, I found out that there's new people there running the store and I feel more comfortable with them. A little expensive now ( understandable bc of 2020's situation), but it's not bad at all.I recommend going when passing by!”

“This store has delicious sandwhiches, I recommend a salami and turkey cold sub with everything on and bit extra vinegar or a salami egg and these with salt pepper and ketchup. This place is great if you need a quick stop for groceries or a quick bite to eat!”

“Lovely spot but because they are aware this is an exclusive neighborhood they are starting to take advantage. When you see barcodes instead of written prices on everything you need to start worrying They have tons of everything and the vibe is nice with good produce but I urge the managers to think about the customer experience please. Im there to relax and shop not pull out my phone to scan each item looking to see a price for Even their website is the same so certainly troubling when our current economic landscape has everyone tightening their pockets a bit”

“Parking is a big PLUS for any shopping area or center so a parking lot for patrons is an "unnerving" and relaxing plus a few feet away. Street parking is always promising on the cross streets or main street West Side Avenue. They has IRISH SEA MOSS from the fresh Jamaican waters, confirmed twice, which is food pointed out to me so I pay with my FOOD STAMPS??✌️!!!”

“I love visiting this local grocery store! It's a great place to stop by when I need a few last minute groceries and they have some really great brands (e.g. organic, products with cleaner ingredients). The biggest reason why I visit is the family that owns/runs this grocery store. They are always SO nice and polite. Because of how nice they are, I choose to visit this local grocery store over other local grocery stores. I highly recommend this place!”

“They have a pretty good selection of Indian groceries. However, you might want to keep an eye out on their expiration dates. I got Dosa batter from here which had expired a couple of days before I even bought it. My fault really for not being observant.”

“It is a small store with a lot of Pinoy grocery needs. Also has the cheapest price compared to other Pinoy stores in the New York area. The owner is kind. The adjacent shops are almost Filipino too. There is also a cafeteria and bakery. Try visiting these places for your Pinoy needs. This was a great stop over and ill pass by soon.”
