“Got the chopped cheese and it was delicious! Workers here are very nice. Hope to come here more often!
Edit: Tried their iced coffee and their Philly cheesesteak, it was awesome!! Highly recommend them if you're in the area! ❤️”
“Nothing but love for Horseradish! Super nice and friendly staff, reasonable prices, and a really great selection of products. It’s a pleasure to come shop here!”
“So many spices! They also have produce and some dairy type products. And way more shelf stable staples than you would expect for such a small place. People working their are always nice. I love this place.”
“The food is fresh, so flavorful and absolutely delicious. Honestly, everything here is delicious but the momo and paneer are my go to. For breakfast the egg wraps are also fantastic.”
“This review is long overdue. Moe’s food is truly stellar. Living in a neighborhood that isn’t always very diverse, Moe brings that diversity through the food he prepares and serves.
My husband and I love coming here and my son, the whole family
Every meal feels like it’s made with care and intention — you can taste it. The atmosphere is always clean and welcoming, and it honestly feels more like sitting down in a restaurant than a typical corner store.
It’s one of my favorite spots, and the quality has always stood out to me. Lastly the vibes and love he shares is truly a blessing.

“Unfortunately I cannot comment on their food but I can comment on how amazing the owner and his employees are. My car died outside of their store even though they had already closed and were heading home they stayed and helped me jump start my car. People like this should be appreciated and people should make sure to shop at their store!”
“Carlos Grocery is a hidden gem that serves some of the best sandwiches in NYC. The chicken parm hero is a must-have item. The prices are great, and the staff is fantastic.”
“Best place in the area to buy produce! Lots of seasonal and exotic fruits, I get to eat fresh lychee all summer from here. Great prices on fruit and lots of sales so I can stock up and freeze extras. They also have an in-house butcher but sometimes they don’t do the best job at cutting the meats. Still, good prices on meat and I still buy it from here if I’m short on time. Good snack and instant noodle selection as well, I rarely go to supermarkets because Uncle Steve’s already has just about everything!”
“Prices on some of the items are reasonable, employees are friendly and helpful. They're always re-stocking if the shelves are empty. Store can be overly crowded but the lines move quickly. Remember, pack your patience.”
“This local store carries fruit, vegetables, and so much more. I have come to rely on their five, freshly made soups, the only problem being, which to choose. Hospitable, helpful, staff, always ready to help, always with a smile I highly recommend Freddy’s On M. You can’t go wrong!”
“Exceptional grocery store experience! Wide variety of fresh produce, quality meats, and diverse products. Clean and well-organized aisles make shopping a breeze. Staff is friendly and helpful. Specials and discounts add value. This store consistently meets my expectations, making it my go-to choice."”
“My favorite grocery store in Boro Park! The layout is fantastic, everything is easy to find. The food is always fresh, and they’re consistently well-stocked. A great shopping experience every time!”
“Ive tried many tortas around NYC and this has taken 1st place. 2nd place in Queens ditmars Amigos.
I like the bread. This is the torta bread I grew up eating! Lot of places just use some kindof nyc roll or even burger buns
But its not just the bread. Its all fresh ingredients, cooked right. Very high quality food from here

“This was my first time picking up from Wonder-Clinton Hill and the service was great. The staff were eager to help, the space was super clean, and my order ready on time and waiting for me.”
“Phenomenal prices for produce here!! We come every weekend and get so much for such a good deal. The produce is also very high quality and lasts awhile too. Best grocery store in the area!!”
“Store is amazing, being a diabetic I couldn’t have most drink options, so I asked the owner if he could supply a brand for me. Next week it was there! I’m so thankful and appreciative of them for this. Will always have my business.”
“Very popular market that has a nice selection of Caribbean fruits, veggies and coconuts. The lines get longer into the afternoon. I'd definitely recommend the raw sugar cane juice and the sea moss. Parking is reasonable around Labay during weekdays and better on weekends.”
“I’ve been a member here for 10 years, with a few years off when I lived outside the city. It’s an incredible gift to have access to such high-quality food at such low prices. It’s gotten me through many broke periods. It’s also the best grocery store in the city that I’ve been to.
People complain that you must be a member and work in order to shop, but the work requirement (free labor) is how we keep prices so low. Further, the coop is already packed to literal capacity, there’s a wait to become a member and sometimes a line to get in the door. There’s no space for non members to shop or look around. (People always imagine themselves as a single non-member shopper — they don’t imagine the implications of their desired policy that would extend to the entire public.)
People also have negative stereotypes about coop members, but I haven’t experienced anything different here than elsewhere in Brooklyn. Sure, some people are annoyingly intense, but it’s the same as if you went to a community board meeting. 98% of the people are chill and just want to save money on groceries.”
“Great sales, and the regular prices are great too. Superb service. Every employee is helpful and polite. It's an absolute pleasure being a KRM customer. Hats off to the management.”

“Incredible fruit and veg! Consistently high quality and always something new and interesting. Freshly squeezed fruit juices are also good. Staff are very helpful and polite. Plus you can always find perfectly ripe avocados!”

“Friendly, community-driven, social justice-minded cooperative grocery store with a diverse selection of items at great prices. Open 7 days a week for worker-owners and for all members of the general public on Mondays 3-9pm.”
“Love this grocery store it's one of the greatest in the area! It's practically a full-scale major grocery store, but it's not too big so you have an easy time finding anything you need. Pricing is great selection is great and they have a great takeout! Definitely recommend coming here!”
“Wow. An affordable sandwich is nearly impossible to find in the area. I've been meaning to stop by for a long time. While out on my daily walk, I decided to change my routine and head south instead of north. I'm glad I did. I realized I was near Ralph's so I stopped by for a sandwich and chips. It was like stepping into a time warp when neighbors centered around a store like this. I grew up in Brooklyn in the 70s and 80's and came back to live here 20 years later. The owner and staff are friendly. The store is clean and stocked with interesting goods. While it's a bit of a walk for me from the Slope, I will continue to grab a sandwich more regularly.”
“This place is the BEST. The best fruit and veggies, great small meat section, top quality cold cuts, and they have everything! A friendly crew that is always helpful.”
“Hafeeza and dorien are the most helpful staff members you have as a Trinidadian i feel welcomed coming
I leave Fort Green three to four times a week just because of the service I reviewed”

“Wholeheartedly agree with other reviewers: The best herring available. Truly reminiscent of the excellent types I'd had in Amsterdam or Antwerp. How ? Generous portions with oil and seasonings that are done just right, smothered in slivered onions. Buy them pre-packed in Kew Gardens Hills. Excellent. Essen gesundheit !- Eat in good health, you all !”
“*5/5 stars — Amazing prices, can’t beat it*
This grocery store is my go-to because the prices are genuinely amazing. Produce, pantry staples, meat — everything costs noticeably less than the big chains. I walk out with a full cart for what I’d spend on half a cart elsewhere.
Selection is solid for basics and they still have decent quality. Store isn’t fancy, but who cares when you’re saving this much?
*Pros:* Best prices in the area, good value, surprisingly good quality for the cost
*Cons:* Can get crowded, not as much variety for specialty items
If you’re trying to stretch your grocery budget, shop here. Bring your own bags and go early for the best stock.”
“The loveliest service…it’s like getting a hug from your grandparents when you walk in. Great prices on nuts, fruits and Middle Eastern specialties. The baked goods are beyond delicious and the Syrian pistachios!!!!”
“In a fit of energetic depression, I ran from Brooklyn to Breezy Point. Crossing the Marine Parkway Bridge, I was charmed by the subtle splendor of the Rockaway Inlet. However, in my haste and pollyannaish obliviousness, I failed to bring any water, naively assuming that there would be the same surfeit of corner stores near Fort Tilden as there are in Brooklyn. As I ran, I became fearful that I would get too dehydrated to proceed. I started eyeing suspicious half-drank bottles of sun-bleached Coca-Cola on the side of the road as with the thirsty oasis-tricked eyes of a desert wanderer. I trudged on, parched. Then, gloriously, and seemingly out of nowhere, emerged Deidre Maeve’s Supermarket. I entered and purchased Gatorade, Red Bull, and Goya vanilla wafers for a fair price from an attendant who smiled at me as I checked out. They had no idea how much it meant to me, so I figured the least I could do was write a kind review to show my gratitude. I was able to run all the way back to Brooklyn with the calories hydration and nutrition the foodstuffs I procured from Deidre Maeve’s Supermarket provided me. And for that I am most appreciative.”
