They all helped me And my 13 year-old daughter shop and look for everything that we needed. We had such an amazing experience. They had amazing customer service. “One of the rarest stores you’ll come across anywhere in the world. Kai D thoughtfully designs each collection and arranges the space with such care—it feels less like a shop and more like a quiet celebration of slow craft.
As a customer turned friend, I’ve been coming here for years, sometimes just to step in and absorb the calm, grounded energy that both the space and Kai naturally offer. Mun, another designer whose work is carried in the store, is often there on weekends, and it’s always a joy to see them both.
What they share is a deep commitment to making—truly living the artist’s way. Everything is created with intention: slow, authentic, and uncompromising. The designs feel timeless, with a sensitivity to materials that makes each piece something you can live in and return to for years.
This past weekend, I stopped by during a spontaneous stroll. Kai and Mun welcomed me so warmly, pulling pieces they could imagine me in—it felt like playing dress-up with old friends. I left with a beautiful Japanese-collar jacket, generously gifted by Kai, and I’ll likely be back soon for a shirt I fell in love with that day.

“Exploring Brooklyn with my bestie and stumbled upon Seed! Such a cool concept! We came for the coffee and stayed for the vibes. It gives lush, overgrown city where the earth wins out ??️ It’s a coffee shop connected to a store, but also feels like a creative space. The store was filled with Telfar and many other unique pieces. The actual sitting/work area is very tiny so we sat outside. My latte was delicious and her Americano was nice. The coffee tasted smooth and milk was steamed nicely. Would love to come back for another cafecito and to try a patty ? they even had some vegan ones!”

“Marche' rue Dix sits on Bedford Ave a couple of blocks from Franklin ave where it enjoys a more quiet and deliberating experience. On the corner is cafe rue dix a wonderful Senegalese restaurant owned by the same couple. This is more than a clothing store , there are jewelry imported from Senegal along with teas , spices, and locally made skincare products, hair and cosmetics. And a high art nail studio that uses non-toxic nail products. A treat from Senegal to right here in the borough of Brooklyn.”
