“I would have given 0 stars if it weren’t for the tail end of my visit. I came to the store with my boyfriend to exchange something for my mother. I walked in through the main entrance and initially asked the employees who work in mens near brands like polo and near all of the jeans they sell. The first 2 people I approached were having phone calls, 1 was even having a FaceTime call with what looked like a friend using profanity right in front of customers like myself. When I asked for helped, they looked annoyed that I interrupted their phone calls and simply told me “oh you do returns over there” and randomly pointed in a direction. I figured I might as well get someone else’s help but unfortunately was bounced around 5 separate times by employees who did not want to assist with a simple exchange and kept telling me “oh we can’t do that for you” or “you have to do it somewhere else”.
At this point I was extremely frustrated and asked for a manager. The employee told me they were not available because their manager told them earlier “they were busy and not to bother them” which I’ve never heard such a ridiculous response to a customer. I had enough and decided I was going to leave and just call customer service and went to find my boyfriend. He was checking out stuff in the mens suit area and was confused why I hadn’t exchanged the items yet. Thankfully, and the only reason I didn’t give this review 1 star, was because of the amazing service I finally received at the end. My boyfriend was working with someone named John who then called his manager Phil over. I have to say, if it wasn’t for the amazing level of empathy and service they gave me, I don't think I’d ever step foot again in Bloomingdales. The manager was very apologetic for the service I received and went above and beyond to make me feel heard when I was at a point of such frustration and anger at how I was treated. I can’t thank you enough for turning my experience around for the better and the best part is now my boyfriend will be coming back to purchase a suit for an upcoming wedding we have with John. If this level of service was given throughout the entire building, everyone would have a standout experience.”

“Went to store 308137 Roosevelt Field Mall ran into an employee by the name of Destinie H. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Stayed with me with from beginning to end until I was able to find what I wanted. The employees over here are super helpful. I never felt alone. I was approached by at least two other employees while I wait for my sneakers. This is a rear find in today’s world of retail.”

“Went in today to buy a pair of Allen Edmonds Ashtons. Chris and Sean were very kind, letting me know that shoe is discontinued. They took the time to walk me through current models and other options. I have some thinking to do on which way I will go but I am very thankful that they were there to help me.
I was reminded of the recraft service too, cannot recommend that enough. Will bring some shoes back to be taken care of. I have not needed many shoes or services since Covid but Allen Edmonds reminds me why having a go to company is a good thing. Thank you.”
“Went to buy a pocketbook, wallet, and sandals for my mother. Eden was extremely helpful, kind, and patient. She showed my mother the selection very thoroughly, explaining the price, what kind of bag/wallet it was. She bagged each item separately so that it could be easily identified. She was extremely kind and offered us water and lollipops. She made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Not many people these days have patience like she does. Amazing!”

“The store did not give me any hard time on returning items I purchased from loft factory outlet. All along I thought I will not be able to do it. I appreciated the associate who helped me. Even though there was a long line going to register, it was moving quickly and I see they opened another register to help out. There were so many items they put up on sale. I see a sign like up to 75% off. How can you go wrong in buying a high quality with reasonable priced merchandise? The floor has racks and racks of merchandise perfect for holiday gift giving or gifting to yourself. Come visit the store.”
“I came in with my son unsure of what to surprise him with for his birthday, and well of course he had more than a few ideas of what he wanted, so we we were conflicted. Crystal was such an amazing help and stayed with us weighing out the pros and cons of each shoe. We left with the best basketball shoes possible for my son and the widest smile i’ve seen since he purchased the new call of duty that released. “Though a bit pricey, J. Jill is great when it comes to generous sizing and has helpful and accommodating staff. The clothes are all good quality and I was able to get a little pick me up outfit that brightened my mood, will definitely be back!”
“I went to this location about 5 months ago to exchange a pair of golf shoes. I didn't have the receipt because the shoes were a gift and never got the gift receipt i was only able to exchange them for the same shoes which i didn't want. I was informed by the sales person named Al to try and call the corporate office and see what they could do for me. I went home called the corporate office and they informed me to mail the shoes to corporate and they will issue a credit, that worked well.
We went back to the store two weeks ago, used the credit for a pair of sneakers and also spent additional money for other clothing.
The staff and Al were excellent and very attentive. I did go on a weekday, I saw that some reviews complained about the service but I have nothing bad to say about my experience at this location.
The only thing that could have made my experience better was the exchange policy. I was exchanging their brand shoes for sneakers and even though I didn't have the gift receipt I believe they should change their policy. I understand the store itself does not control the policy, corporate controls that. They could have given me credit for the lowest lowest sale price instead of having myself to mail in the shoes and waiting for the credit.
Again I want to thank Al for being so helpful both times that I was there.”

“I’ve been searching for the fur lined all terrain crocs for years. They pulled them out of production due to a design flaw with the back straps. Periodically, I search online, and I stop in every Crocs store I walk past. Yesterday, I was in the mall, and stopped in. To my surprise, I saw them on the clearance wall, but not in my size. An associate approached me and asked if I needed help. I explained I was looking for them in a different size. Not only did she go in the back to look, she checked if they were available online, and then called two stores on my behalf! That is above and beyond!”

“Outstanding Customer Service at JD – Roosevelt Field Mall
This was my first time shopping at the JD store in Roosevelt Field Mall, and despite how extremely packed it was with the Christmas rush, the experience was truly amazing thanks to two incredible associates, Elisee and James.
I was shopping with my two toddlers who were understandably going a little crazy, and both Elisee and James jumped right in to help without hesitation. They were patient, kind, and genuinely supportive during a very hectic moment. Even though the store didn’t have my son’s size available, they went above and beyond by arranging to have the shoes shipped directly to my home.
I usually don’t leave reviews, but their level of professionalism, compassion, and customer care really stood out and deserved recognition. JD is very lucky to have associates like Elisee and James—they turned what could have been a stressful shopping trip into a positive experience. Thank you both for your help and kindness!”
