“Look, it's not the Hilton, it's older and could probably use a some polish. The restaurant on site is a line dancing bar, so there's some ambient music until close (currently midnight). But the (non-smoking) room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you'd expect. The staff was friendly and responsive. I have had much worse experiences for much more money. If you are looking for a place to just stay the night, it's totally fine. Don't let the bad reviews sway you, I can get where they're coming from if you want something sleek and modern, but this hotel is totally functional.”
“Our recent stay at Best Western Plus Victor Inn and Suites was awesome. After a 10 hour day of driving through torrential rains and winds, the Inn was a beautiful and welcome oasis! As we entered the beautiful lobby and commons area, we were greeted by a friendly and informative desk clerk. Check-in was smooth and fast, and we received great tips on where to eat and how to visit Lake Ontario. We took the short drive and had a great dinner and put our feet in our second great lake! Our room was equally beautiful and we enjoyed a quiet nights sleep. Our breakfast was amazing, and we really didn't want to leave, but we had many more miles ahead of us. We highly recommend a stay here, and we will definitely return some day!”

“This property is all about location, right on the canal. Rooms are fine, nothing special. No pool or hot tub. Spa services quite expensive. Restaurant at hotel served an excellent breakfast.
Walkability: Several restaurants nearby as well as great dairy for ice cream. The hotel does have a shuttle that will take you to places nearby as well as the airport.”

“I have a very hyper 10 month old puppy. She loves to go to daycare. She gets to play with small dogs like her. They also have grooming. So it's very convenient.”

“This is the finest hotel at which I stayed as I biked the entire Erie Canalway -- and the best value. Rooms are ideal, breakfast is restaurant quality, and the staff is helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The quiet setting on the scenic Genesee River -- complete with patio -- is a bonus.”

“Pleased to find this a great hotel walking distance from the airport. Prices were very reasonable for what you get. Room was clean and updated. The breakfast was not extensive but had all your standard warm and cold offerings for a complementary breakfast. Morning staff at breakfast was very attentive to keeping the cafeteria clean and stocked. Cafeteria area was rather small so you might need to get your seats early. Was not busy when we were there though. Small workout room but did the trick. They offer a 24-hour airport shuttle but we didn't use it since weather was fine to walk 8 minutes from the airport. Perfect for that connection and now we're going to walk back to the airport to get our car.”

“As expected from a Courtyard property, nice, clean and well maintained. Room was big and the bed was pretty firm as I like it - the reason I book King room.
So, why did I give it a 5 star? Exceptional service! I was running late in the morning and bistro was just about closing. Called the front desk (Chris) and he with Holly from the bistro whipped up a nice breakfast for me.
Truly appreciated as it started the day off right.”

“This is a beautiful hotel lobby and atrium. Twice we have stayed, each time for a week.to visit family and friends. My wife was using a cane each time and requested handicap accessible rooms. Those rooms are the most remote in the hotel. In 2023, we were told that was a "very popular complaint", but not to worry because remodeling would begin in January of 2024. Nothing has changed that status. A front desk person, Chandler, offered her the use of a wheelchair, which limited her walking to the room. It meant I had to make multiple trips to get her to the room; then our luggage. We may have to consider alternate hotels in 2025.
Rooms: Well appointed and clean.
Nearby activities: Restaurants and shopping are nearby.
Safety: Not an issue.
Walkability: If mobility is an issue for anyone in your party, there are up and down ramps plus some distance from elevator(s) to assigned room.
Food and drinks: Breakfast offered a buffet and menu options.
Noteworthy details: Bar and indoor pool available.”

“I had to cancel my reservation due to a quite unfortunate and unexpected situation. The Hotel frontdesk (Nov 19 2023, 5PM) was very caring, helpful, and understanding, and did everything they could to help me out. I really appreciate their support, and I will surely choose Clarion Pointe next time I go to Rochester.”

“The hotel is well located in the center of downtown. While the city has a limited amount of things worth walking to, the things that are were close to the hotel and made it easy to get to. The hotel itself was clearly renovated recently and the renovation did a good job with the rooms clean and in good condition. Only real critique is that there were no towel racks which seems like a weird design omission during a remodel. The hotel restaurant had good food and the employees were extremely nice. It's honestly a recommendation if you're looking for somewhere to eat going there is not a bad choice at all. Overall if I were to stay in Rochester again I would book this hotel again.Rooms: Rooms were recently remodeled and are in good and clean conditionWalkability: This hotel is centrally located in downtown making it walkable to different restaurants and suchFood & drinks: The food and drink of the hotel restaurant was very good no complaints at all and definitely would recommend”
“Our stay at Hilton Garden Inn Rochester Downtown Minnesota Mayo Clinic was absolutely wonderful from the moment we arrived until the day we left. The level of customer service was outstanding, making our visit incredibly pleasant and stress-free—something especially important when you're visiting the Mayo Clinic, which is conveniently located just two blocks away.
The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. From providing transportation to and from the clinic to the warm and attentive team members, every detail of our stay was handled with care and professionalism. The entire team was exceptional, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit.
The location, amenities, and service combined to create an amazing experience. I would highly recommend the Hilton Garden Inn Rochester Downtown to anyone, especially those visiting the Mayo Clinic. This hotel truly exceeded our expectations, and we will absolutely stay here again in the future.”

“Very convenient location. The staff is exceptionally nice and welcoming upon arrival. Coffee around the clock is always hot. Very home-like feeling and quit! All around this is 100% the best bang for your buck if you're visiting the Rochester area. It's affordable and spicy and clean.
