Pooches LIC
4731 Center Blvd, Long Island CityThere are not enough stars when it comes to the level of service Pooches provides. My dog Whiskey isn’t the easiest and they roll out the red carpet for her….I don’t trust just anyone with my dogs and I can with out a doubt say that I 100% trust Pooches with Whiskey. Knowing I have a place to take her whenever I need and that they go out of their way to accommodate my last minute requests and that she has fun is just a relief. I would recommend Pooches 1000 times over for any of your dog needs :)

Just Food For Dogs
47-46 Vernon Blvd, Long Island CityWhile the food was not a fit for my dog, the entire staff was incredibly helpful. They weren’t upset that I had to return the food. They gladly accepted it and tried to see if there was something else more suitable.

Pet Care

InstaVet Urgent Care & Wellness Animal Hospital - LIC Queens Pet Surgery Medical Center
44-16 23rd St, Long Island CityI had a great experience here getting travel forms filled out for my guide dog. The staff is friendly, flexible, and accommodating. They treated my dog very nicely and the appointment was quick and easy, while still being thorough. Also, the office doesn’t have an overwhelming animal smell that can be characteristic of many vets, which I appreciate.

Long Island City Veterinary Center
48-18 Vernon Blvd, Long Island CityWe've only come in here a few times for vaccinations and wellness checks, but the staff here are so friendly, and my dog is always super happy to come in, since he knows he'll get lots of pets and treats :) Doctors are very thorough and knowledgeable and I don't feel like they try to push you to do any unnecessary services. I'm happy we have a good neighborhood vet thats reliable and trustworthy.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Moroccan Bites by Siham
37-08 28th Ave, Long Island CityEverything we ate at Moroccan Bites by Siham was so delicious! The lamb tagine, pastilla, and couscous with chicken were incredible. You could tell the dishes were prepared with fresh ingredients and with care. And the refreshing mint tea complimented our dishes. One of the best meals I’ve had in awhile. Can’t wait to see their new space on Steinway street!

Corgi Jianbing LIC 可吉煎饼
44-05 Hunter Street, Long Island CityThis jianbing cart will definitely become a go-to for me! Located in Court Square, it's a convenient stop and it takes about 15-20 minutes for your order to be made.
In the past, I've tried a couple jianbing in the past but didn't like them as I felt that it was too heavy and carb-y. However, one thing that I did like about this cart is that they really fill your jianbing with fillings, meat, and sauces. The pancake itself is also softer and easier to eat (like a wrap). While I would say that it is on the pricy side (at least in comparison to Flushing), I did really enjoy these and can see myself coming back a lot. (Loved their top seller with beef sausage as well as their peking duck one!)

Overflow Coffee
46-36 Vernon Blvd, Long Island Cityoverflowcoffee is a perfect spot to get some work done. this place is spacious and has everything you need to wfh.
i tried matcha latte ($6) ? and it did not disappoint. they whisked it on the spot (not from a huge pre-made batch??which i have seen a lot these days).
they have wifi, many seats (with a few outlets), restroom, and great coffee / pastry menu. you can choose a seat by the window, couch, or proper table. there is ample natural light here.
located near the east river, you can walk a couple blocks and wind down after work ?
