Pooches LIC
4731 Center Blvd, Long Island CityThere are not enough stars when it comes to the level of service Pooches provides. My dog Whiskey isn’t the easiest and they roll out the red carpet for her….I don’t trust just anyone with my dogs and I can with out a doubt say that I 100% trust Pooches with Whiskey. Knowing I have a place to take her whenever I need and that they go out of their way to accommodate my last minute requests and that she has fun is just a relief. I would recommend Pooches 1000 times over for any of your dog needs :)

Pet Care

InstaVet Urgent Care & Wellness Animal Hospital - LIC Queens Pet Surgery Medical Center
44-16 23rd St, Long Island CityNoticed my cat limping around 7:30 on a Friday night. My regular vet was closed and the emergency vet wait was 3 hours long. I called this office and they told me they could get me right in. Rushed over and quickly felt at ease. Receptionist and nurses were patient despite my anxious rambling. They were gentle and patient with my pet. The doctor was soft spoken and attentive. He took the time to listen to every detail I gave and made me feel heard, validated and reassured during a scary time. Care was swift and they were transparent about cost, process etc and answered every question I had. So grateful that I found this place. Highly recommend!

Long Island City Veterinary Center
48-18 Vernon Blvd, Long Island CityWe are very pleased with our choice of getting a second opinion for our dog Kai. She has a terrible paw infection and with the uncertainty of it, we needed another opinion, more information, more testing and this place gave us just that. The tech, nurse and vet were all fantastic and very patient with my dog since she was nervous throughout the experience, which ended with smiles and a wagging tail. I highly recommend.

Culture Lab LIC
5-25 46th Ave, QueensI attended an event that had rented this space. It is very clean, well lit, everything with the space seemed to be working well. It is in a complex that faces a parking lot. My only suggestion would be better signage as to where the entrance is at. (Hint: look for the blue door)

Bantry Bay Publick House
33-01 Greenpoint Ave, Long Island CitySome details now that i have more time... we spent several hours here and had a truly fine time. I originally gave them points for having HP sauce, often lacking in many 'Irish' pubs, but it turned out i didn't need it. The Shepard's pie was very flavorful and didn't need any enhancement at all. The salmon was also excellent, firm and tasty.
Mike is a charmer and took great care of us. Emma was also great and friendly.
I wish we were closer than almost three hours away so we could visit more often. Locals should definitely check it out

LM Cafe
11-11 44th Rd, Long Island CityWe are visiting from Miami and stumbled upon this hidden gem. We ordered blueberry pancakes , 2 egg platers and a breakfast sandwich and everything was a 10/10. I got myself a mushroom coffee which was interesting , very good as well. The place is small and homey. The staff was very kind and welcoming. They have a variety of options on the menu & they even have vegan protein powder to make shakes. The hash browns and eggs were delicious and were not greasy at all. Fast service . If you are looking for some good breakfast or quick sandwich / wrap / smoothies check them out .

Mango Mango Desserts LIC
47-43 Vernon Blvd, Long Island CityI love mango, so I was excited to finally check this dessert spot. This place was so bright and clean. There were so many options to choose from. The staff were super friendly and provided recommendations. I had to have the mango coconut sticky rice with ice cream. This was so amazing, I could have another one. The mango strawberry smoothie-o was full of yummy slushyness. My least favorite was the crème brûlée earl grey cheesecake. I wanted to try this since it was new in the menu. I thought it was ok, I would have preferred to try another mango dessert like the mango mousse cake or the mango mille crepe cake. I would also love to try the coconut mango smoothie-o on my next visit. I can't wait to go back. My new favorite dessert spot!
