“I’ve used Syracuse Auto Works several times, and overall my experience has been positive. Their biggest strengths are that they diagnose problems carefully, get repairs done relatively quickly, and actually solve the problem.
They also try to accommodate customers when there is an urgent situation. When your car suddenly breaks down and you depend on it every day, being able to get it diagnosed and repaired without waiting several weeks is very important.
I especially appreciated an experience earlier this month. I brought my car in for work involving the rear brake caliper, and while working on it, they noticed looseness in the rear wheel bearing and brought it to my attention before it could develop into a more serious safety problem. I appreciate a shop that pays attention to potential problems beyond just the specific repair requested.
Most recently, my Prius suddenly broke down with a “Check Hybrid System” warning. They diagnosed the problem as a failed throttle body along with a weak 12V battery and completed the repairs quickly. I also appreciate that they installed a Beck/Arnley replacement throttle body, which is a reputable aftermarket brand, and the car is now running normally again.
One small suggestion for improvement: I had asked about the brand of the replacement throttle body before the repair. The manager later told me in person that it was Beck/Arnley, which I appreciate.
However, it would have been even better if the brand and part number had been included on the invoice, or if the shop had saved the parts box or provided a photo of the new part/packaging for my records.
The main downside is price. Syracuse Auto Works is not inexpensive, and some parts and labor charges can be on the higher side compared with other independent repair shops. On the other hand, in my experience they are
responsive, thorough, and capable of getting the problem fixed, especially when the repair is urgent.
Overall, I consider Syracuse Auto Works a reliable and efficient repair shop with good diagnostic ability and customer service. They may cost somewhat more, but they have been able to solve my problems and have made an effort to accommodate me when I needed repairs quickly.”

“Ace Helped me get approved for a Credit loan and Mike his boss helped me get approved for the amount that I could afford on a car and they got me a good decent 2011 Chevy Cruze with only 79,000 miles very low mileage car for the year drives great. I drive a lot for work so just a perfect car for me as I own the Hyundai Elantra before and prefer the compact size and I got Great Help from Guy's Automotive Ace and Mike Thanks Guys. I really Appreciate it. And I Appreciate Mike's father's service I served in the Army and he was telling me about his father's service and being in the military I always love hearing about veteran stories so thank you for that and for his service. It was A real friendly comfortable environment. No pressure to buy. My Toyota Camry trade-in was ready to go it wouldn't pass inspection because of he misfire in the engine somewhere that was causing the check engine light to flash and it's been going on for about a year with that car. I had a mechanic work on it and we did everything to try to get the misfire stop and get fixed but it's a 2002 with high miles and I didn't have my hopes up on having it fixed I knew I would have to finance something as the registration was almost up on my Toyota in October and I figured to try to get a car while I could before October came and I could transfer everything over. They helped me with everything I needed the correct payment that I could afford a good car. It drives great great service from Guys Automotive 10 out of 10 Stars. Thanks again Ace thanks again Mike.
