101 High Country Square #28, Banner ElkThis is a cute little sandwich shop that has a variety of soup, sandwiches, drinks and desserts. It is a seat yourself and space is limited. The sandwiches were all delicious and the tomato bisque was really good too. Kids meals come with goldfish, cookie and a drink but sides and drinks for regular meals are separate so it can add up fast.

They have many wines to chose from along with several different flights so you should be able to find something for everyone. The staff is helpful. The grounds we're beautiful. Lots of places to sit and several tent options for the cold weather. Winter hours are bit lacking but if you plan your trip it is absolutely fine. They also have some options for snacking and when we were there a food truck. They also have live music on a schedule. Worth the stop.

4004 NC-105 UNIT 8, Banner ElkUnassuming strip mall location from the outside but really fantastic on the inside. Atmosphere, staff and food/drinks were all amazing. I’ve visited the area a few times but this was the first time I’ve discovered Reid’s. Will definitely be back.
I found all portions to be consistent with what I expect from a small/large plates style restaurant. We choose to share everything when dining in restaurants like this so we tried several small plates and a couple entrees amongst the family. My wife and daughter absolutely loved the pasta special.
Prices are consistent with what I would expect from a James Beard nominated restaurant with quality ingredients and a strong staff. Anyone complaining about price does not have reasonable expectations of what it takes to actually run a restaurant.

The only negative is that they say their hours are 9am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday and when we came on Saturday, no one showed up to open until 9:05am and when we came back today (Sunday), no one showed up to open. We really loved this place and wanted to have it again before we left Banmer Elk but they are not consistent on opening right at 9am. Would definitely come back next visit because it was that good!!

324 Shawneehaw Ave S Highway 184, Banner ElkAfter a long, cold, and windy day on the slopes, the kids were tired and hungry. All of the restraunts were packed, many not taking walk-ins or reservations. Being a large party of 7 (2 adults and 5 kids) we expected that it would be nearly impossible to get a table. The wait was minimal compared to other local restaurants and the service was phenomenal! As soon as we were seated we were greeted by the manager on duty, Anna. She kindly asked if there was anything we needed. I asked if there was any way to move us from the high top table to a booth? She didn't hesitate in making it a priority to do so. She continued checking in and making sure we had everything we needed through out the evening. Our waitress Zoey was super attentive, overly accommodating,
and incredible with the kids. Together they orchestrated a group to sing Happy Birthday to my young teenage son and treated him to a large and delicious slice of cake. I can honestly say that we have never experienced such hospitality and kindness! They provided top notch service and did not rush us to finish. We felt like VIPs! Thank you for making it such a special evening for our young family! We definitely highly recommend and will be back!
