“The customer service here is outstanding. They seem to primarily cater to the work boot crowd. I went in and searched for a heritage model. They didn’t have it in stock. However, I was really impressed with the knowledge and level of customer service that was provided. I know shoe stores, having worked in shoe retail in the past, and I know a good shoe store when I see it. This place is excellent.”

“I want to recognize an outstanding young gentleman named Rodney at Kids Foot Locker at Concord Mills for providing one of the most genuine and professional customer service experiences I’ve had in a very long time.
When I came into the store, I was already emotionally overwhelmed and mentally carrying a lot personally. Even though Rodney did not know what I was going through internally, he treated me with such patience, kindness, professionalism, and sincerity that it genuinely stood out to me.
He took the time and patience to help me find shoes for my son, making sure we found options that were comfortable, practical, and a great fit. What truly touched me, though, was that throughout the process he continually encouraged me to also consider myself. That may seem small to some people, but during a difficult emotional season, that level of thoughtfulness and care meant more than he probably realized.
Rodney never once made me feel rushed or like “just another customer.” His attitude was calm, respectful, uplifting, and incredibly mature. What impressed me most was how naturally compassionate and attentive he was without it feeling forced or performative.
In today’s world, customer service like that is rare. Many people simply do their jobs, but very few make customers feel valued on a human level. Rodney represented Kids Foot Locker with excellence, integrity, and heart.
You can always teach sales skills, but you cannot teach genuine character, emotional intelligence, and presence and Rodney clearly possesses all three. He deserves recognition for the way he carries himself and the experience he creates for customers.
I truly hope this review reaches store leadership and district management because employees like Rodney are the reason customers return. Thank you again, Rodney, for your kindness and professionalism during a moment when it meant more than you probably realized.”

However, there was a lovely employee named Madison who walked me through the entire process. She asked about what kind of shoes I have preferred in the past, possible color options, and my budget. It really streamlined the process and made sure I got a pair of shoes that felt right to me.
