“Aside from the narrow aisle ways, this is one of the best grocery stores. My wife and I have been to so many options and the prices were reasonable and I love that you can walk in, get a draft beer, and do your shopping. The checkout clerk was very polite and told us how much we saved when completing the sale.”
“I have the very best experiences here with the gentlemen who work at the deli. Especially Mr. Harold who has outstanding customer service skills. After having a discussion with Mr. Harold, it has been brought to my attention that he is a generational worker for Food Lion. His father was recognized in the Watauga Democrat as being a well recognized and beloved community member before passing away in 2006. He worked hard for Food Lion for many years. I do believe more recognition is needed for valued food Lion employees such as Mr. Harold. Like father like son. I will be returning and I would highly recommend anyone to this location.

“I typically do a large portion of my shopping at Food Lion. The only thing that is a problem is that I use mostly all healthy products, and those items appear to be shrinking. I had hoped that they would have increased the amount of gluten-free, soy free, and corn free products.”
“Just giving a update. Produce started out as my favorite. Been shopping here for almost four years now & the environment is amazing. All the staff employees are kind and helpful. If you ever need anything they do their best to get it in store. All the manager treats us like family. Robert, Sarah and Kelli go beyond for the customers. Cashiers are always helpful with assisting loading and unloading. The one special thing that sticks out to me is my daughter always wants a balloon Every time we go, and the managers always go above and beyond to just put a smile on my baby's face. Keep up the great work! Please keep the exotic fruits and heriloom, organic foods coming!”
“This is not my local grocery store. We stopped here while on vacation to grab food for our stay. They were out of things that we were looking for. Maybe we caught them before a delivery?
I would pay close attention to any meat that you buy. Most meat had the "manager special" sticker on them since they were close to their expiration date.
They did have self check out lines which was nice.
There are also nice mountain views from this location.”
“While visiting Boone, NC, we had a great shopping experience in the HT. My wife’s glasses and sun shades fell into the orange juice case and Scotty came to the rescue. Scotty went behind the display and found the shades. Thank you.
Additionally, being from Chapel Hill, we weren’t familiar and couldn’t find the mashed potatoes. Then Carson led us to the display so we could make a selection. Thank you Carson. Finally, at checkout, Bridget was very friendly (this was crazy graduation weekend) and welcomed us to the area and wished us a pleasant visit. HT has a great team. Thanks again….the Wits”

“My wife wanted to walk around Ingles so I was down for the experience. I was shocked to see different items you can't find in your typical grocery store. I love the classic old school look felt like I was in supermarket sweep. Will drive from Winston-Salem to get my groceries here.”

“Best privately owned organic store around! Lots of vegan and vegetarian food. The owner really cares about getting the best products. Other chain health food stores might buy stuff that's questionable on health and GMO status but not be natural. They are amazing. Very friendly staff too.”

“They carry the tofurky sausages and the TOFUTTI dairy free cream cheese, Publix don't sell it no more in hickory they freaking replaced that with this awful disgusting tasting forbidden kind of plant based cream cheese, hello, any of you guys ever take a look on the side of TOFUTTI brand cream cheese,!? That's why it says better than cream cheese, it says perfect for bagels, cheesecake ,frosting, and so on!
The cream cheese that was put in place of the TOFUTTI at Publix is by Philadelphia cream cheese and it has excessive amounts of sodium in it and it has loads of coconut oil in it ! I would never I couldn't make a homemade cheesecake much less any other desert or additive or topping with that garbage! TOFUTTI is thick, creamy, not excessive amounts of sodium no coconut oil trash and so is the TOFUTTI dairy free sour cream you guys ,it's the best!!!!!!!!! I know what I'm talking about! If I had to go to the polls and vote bygolly for food matters concerns, it he voting for TOFUTTI TOFUTTI TOFUTTI”

“I have been using this facility since August 2022 and it is a very clean facility. Staff and owners are very nice and easy to reach if needed. On-line communications and payment options are easy to set up. Access to storage units is easy. Very pleased!!”

“Stone Mountain General store is such a little jewel in this quaint little Bethel community. My kids grew up stopping in the store for all sorts of treats after a day at the park to include ice cream, chips and old fashioned coke in a glass bottle. Tommy and Lula are always fun to chat with and do a great job of hosting all the little old men in the community in their little lunch nook which is surrounded by old newspaper clippings featuring many who sit just below. The store is stocked with all the essentials to save you from a trip to Boone or Mountain City.”
“I love this place. Prices are a bit steep, but I’ve never come here looking for some kind of festive food item and not found it. This is the only place within a hundred miles that you’ll find mulling spice and cider. Quality of produce and packaged items is universally high.”
“These stores in rural and city locations provide a huge community need! There are many times I or my husband don't want to deal with the large discount store: crowds, self check-out, large layout which takes time to navigate and tires the elderly. Need I say more? Thank you for being a welcomed and viable shopping alternative!”
“I just wanted to say that when I visited the store today it was such a clean and Organized store! Everything was in it proper place and and it will now be my store!On top of that the staff is so friendly, always getting greeted when you walk in! The Store Manager I think Her name is Sammie! She is absolutely outstanding! She is always pleasant and it’s obvious she does her job and does it well! I just thought I would let everyone know that!I have been in the customer Service business all my life and it’s just nice to go shopping and be treated with respect! “This is the best Dollar General in the area. It’s good because Michael, the most recent manager, cares about his community and employees. It’s so incredibly hard to work the way that DG Corp wants and Michael takes care of everyone with a smile. 5 stars for the staff - 0 stars for corporate and their nasty business practices. Without Michael, this store would go under in a heartbeat.”
“There are 4/5 Walmarts in a 30 minute radius of where I live, and the West Jefferson Walmart is by far my favorite to go to. The employees are always super friendly. The bathrooms are always clean and well stocked. They have a much wider variety of items then the other local stores in the area' and I never have to maneuver around boxes in the walkways or rude workers, like I do every time I visit the Boone Walmart!”
“I go here all of the time. Things are clean, employees are working hard to stock shelves, when using self checkout if there is a problem you can get it quickly resolved, and the Subway in there is also good. If you are in need of things I highly recommend this place!”

“A great establishment and in my opinion it is a must-stop while at Beech Mountain. I relied on Fred’s for their fresh cooked food, snowboarding gear, groceries, and gifts! They also lent me a tool to help me out when I had a lock that broke. Great staff, delicious food with lots of options, and a lot to look at and do! The Philly cheesesteak was amazing and a great price. Always left the store feeling very satisfied and well taken care of.”

“My experience at Walmart Supercenter was overall positive, and I would rate it 4 stars. The store had a wide variety of products available, making it convenient to find everything I needed in one place. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the checkout process was efficient. However, at times, the store felt a bit crowded and some areas were not as organized as I would have liked. Despite these minor issues, I appreciate the convenience and value that Walmart Supercenter offers, making it a go-to destination for my shopping needs.”
