“This Big Lots is like a smaller and cheaper Sam's Club without the food stands. In this particular Big Lots they have bathroom essentials, home decor, furniture on display, cleaning products, food, pet toys + pet food, clothes, electronics, beauty care, makeup, medicine, and I think school supplies but I can't remember for sure if they still have it out. There are 2 restrooms near the entrance to the left which I personally think is so much better than going to the back of the store. This store is always clean, staff are always very kind and get you checked out at the register very quickly. This is my favorite big lots and I can always count on it when I need to make a run for items I am short on.”

As a previous employee of a couple of years, I will set the record straight on Von Maur.All “Sales Associates” are required to dress basically the way you would going to a Funeral. Now for some!, this is a real challenge to dress as a reflection of what Von Maur’s standards represent. From a Management standpoint, yes, they are usually very young with “By The Book” styles of management. This is a problem for one reason alone and that’s Real Life Experience in not education, but identifying what’s best in dealing with Associates.With “Customer”, to which I always referred to them as Clients, primarily because I spent a great amount of time with repeat Clients.All and all, it’s a great place to work IF you can afford to dress for the work and look that is required in order to be a reflection of Von Maur.J.
