“We had very good experience. We’ve booked one night stay but we got early to stay in the night but the checkin time was 3 pm we came early by couple hours. The lady at the front desk gave us room to stay early. It was very good experience. She was so nice with us.”
“Had a wonderful stay in the heart of downtown Portland. Will definitely return! Friendly staff, clean room, great location.
Rooms: Clean, comfortable, everything we needed
Nearby activities: Two blocks from Pioneer Courthouse Square, Regal Cinema across the street, two blocks from the art gallery, theaters, fabulous dining.
Safety: Totally safe.
Walkability: Didn't need the car at all
Food and drinks: Lots to choose from”
“Jake and I stayed after our wedding and through the holiday - they treated us like royalty from the beginning with all the amenities that came from our booking. We got a bottle of sparkling wine with our Amex booking but the front desk made sure we felt taken care of when we checked in and had a had-written card as well. Once they found out we just got married (we were still in our wedding kit when we stopped in the bar), the front desk stopped by our room during one of the days we were out shopping and left a congratulatory card with cheese cake! All weekend, the staff crushed it and didn't even blink to go out of their way for us! From breakfast to New Years Eve cocktails - the bartenders also doted on us and they were constantly busy with other guests as well. Parking may be expensive but it's valet and of course totally worth the security that's needed in a big city! We had one of the many styles of Eggs Benedict and they were amazing! We appreciated all of it, thank you!
Rooms: rooms were clean and stocked - dog friendly hotel but from the room, we didn't hear any barking
Safety: hotel always had someone to man the front desk and valet/bell hop was always available, totally worth paying to park in a secure garage
Walkability: coffee shops and beautiful view of the bridge
Food and drinks: food and drinks were amazing but the service at the bar was impeccable - even New Years Eve, staff was doubled and service was amazing
Noteworthy details: staff will definitely accommodate as much as they can, the little things add up to make this a luxury stay”
“Love the Society. A lot of people complain about Old Town and the homeless population. It's a little overblown, in my opinion. But I love downtowns everywhere, so I'm biased.”
“Fun place. They have open mice comedy shows which is not bad and good shows sat and Friday nights. I like the vibe and atmosphere. Never had food but they have a sour beer that I really like.”

“Great location with easy access to downtown, very friendly staff and service. The rooms and facilities were nice, clean and comfortable. For sure we will be back next opportunity in Portland. Thank you so very much to the whole staff.
Rooms: Very comfortable”
“Second stay at Hyatt Centric Downtown Portland. A special shotout to Greer at the front desk, Alicen and Annie in Covet, Vi from housekeeping, and Tyler from valet. Their amazing service keeps me and the dogs coming back! The rooms are super modern, clean, and comfortable. Food from the restaurant was delicious! Had breakfast and dinner both days! I kept telling them that I can’t believe this is a category 2 property. It’s that good and the staff here have a large part to play in that! The location is also very good. Close to the shops in the Pearl and other decent restaurants. Safety is not a concern and I felt safe at all hours. My only complaint is that parking is really expensive if you are paying the standard rate but other than that it is perfect.”

“This was such a nice little hotel for the price abd location!!! We are from Washington and wanted to take a weekend vacation to see the Oregon zoo since our son wants to be a zoo keeper. The suite we stayed in was very clean, comfy and quiet! There were 4 of us so my dad that came with us slept on the sleeper sofa with my son and he said it was super comfy and that he slept like a log! The staff was always smiling and helpful with us and even laughed at my dad's terrible jokes! Parking is tight but we managed well with our kia Sorento just fine and you couldn't ask for better inside the city like that. We will definitely come back for when we make another zoo trip! Thank you park lane staff for helping make my son's first hotel stay and out of state trip memorable!”
“This hotel was awesome! Every day there is complemntary coffee and cider in the lobby, free wine tastings in the evening, and you recieve a daily money credit that stacks and can be used on multiple things. Everyone here was very friendly, especially Mike who gave us a bottle of wine after a small hot water issue in our room. He continued to reappear in our stay and always made his best effort to ensure we were having a great trip. We hope to come back again very soon!
Safety: Felt fairly safe in the area(8/10), homeless are pretty docile and tend to be nonaggressive
Walkability: So many close restaurants and light activities. Close to public transportation”

“First time we stayed here, we definitely got the creepy theme. Good hotel, was off-put by the bathroom that everyone shares instead of having your room include a bathroom. Food amazing, and short walk down the street to the Crystal Ballroom
Nearby activities: Crystal Ballroom.
Walkability: Easy quick walk to anywhere.
Food and drinks: Good health food store nearby”
“Room was nice and so was staff. Definitely a spot for a corporate traveler or family. The traffic from the freeway was louder than I would have preferred, but not a dealbreaker. The mall across the parking lot was convenient. Easy access to freeway.”

“Our first time to Portland and we absolutely loved it! We took our chocolate lab ( he too had a blast) with us. The staff was very accommodating and considerate. They went out of their way to assist which we were extremely grateful for. The rooms were immaculate, quirky and very clean. Special thanks to Danielle at the front desk and Owen they made our stay the absolute best! We'll definitely be recommending and returning.”

“Very Basic, clean, very budget, staff were nice, coffee in the office in the morning.
Walkability: I am okay with walking, restaurants near by. I don't go out at night. Mainly because I'm old. Anyway, it is what it is. Safeway easy walking distance. Italian restaurant.”
“The quality for the cost is incredible!
Staffing friendliness can definitely be better but the room is a great size and modern so check in on the app and your visit will be uncompromised. This is always my “go to” place to stay when I know I’m going to be in Portland. The Max has stops a block away. Lots of food and drink options are all within walking distance.
The bar area is nice and drinks are reasonably priced.
Walkability: Convenience store about two clocks away. Bars, restaurants, and shopping galore within a few blocks distance. MAX stop a block away.”

“This is the most convenient place to stay when I come visit my son in PDX. The self-service breakfast is great. The rooms are in need of some updating, and the pillows esp are not to my liking. All the rooms I've tried have claw foot tubs which require some agility. It's a comfortable place, i just bring my own pillow now. Wish the windows could open in the room i recently had, even with the heat turned down to 66 degrees it was very stuffy.”

“We chose this hotel for a getaway to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We were delighted with the complimentary upgraded room, the nice touch of chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne upon arrival and the excellent service we experienced. From the warm and personable welcome by Clint at the front desk to the attentive service during a gourmet dinner at Urban Farmer, we felt pampered and appreciated. We did have an issue with heat not working in our room due to a mechanical failure, but this was completely resolved to our satisfaction. The hotel is conveniently located near to Pioneer Square and easy walking distance to some amazing shops and restaurants.”
“I worked there for over a year and I genuinely used to love going to work, it was one of my favorite jobs. After Covid I left for a few months and then reapplied and started working there again. Some things were different and there was a new woman working in the position I used to work in and we worked together for a while until one day I was a few minutes late and she started doing my job and ignoring hers, as soon as I clocked in I told her I could take over and she refused to, forcing me to do her job. She was already in a bad mood and wouldn't take over her position and started getting violently frustrated with me, rather than talking to me she stormed out yelling "not today" and I figured she just needed a few minutes to cool off but after 20-30 minutes I started having to do my job and her job and no manager informed me until an hour into my shift that she had left and gone home for the day leaving me to work the rest of my shift doing two positions with no help and closing for the day. After that I ended up being barked at by a manager for being upset by the situation and talked to by another manager about the incident without the other employee being there to resolve the issue. I was told tasks haven't been done that hadn't been brought to my attention before the meeting and because I tried confronting the other employee instead of just being quiet and doing her position rather than my own I was fired. And to this day it really bothers me how this situation played out. I work really hard at every job I have and just know you lost a very loyal employee.”

“Bathroom super clean and modern but than the walls had water stain in the corner.
Bed was clean & comfortable.
Bummer that the elevator was out of order didn’t find that out until after we notified them and they responded with “Oh we forgot to put the out of order sign up””

Rooms: Clean and quiet. Great water pressure in the shower.

“I had a fantastic experience at the Sentinel hotel when I stayed. The host Dylan was extremely welcoming and accommodating. The room was immaculate and extremely comfortable, and the valet service was on point. They even had our car ready out front for us without even needing to be asked. Will definitely be keeping the Sentinel in mind whenever traveling to Portland.”

“Kept thinking throughout my brief stay, 'I could live here.' Nothing but praise for the front desk, and staff. Room was fully equipped with a complete kitchen and was immaculate. Cafe / bar very nice, great service, clean, and the club panini was fabulous. The pool and jacuzzi (ADA lift for the later) were also clean and well maintained. Parking was an extra charge, but safe and secure. Location for able bodied folks, also very nice (close to river-walk). Local transportation very close by. Not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for, a rarity these days.”

“I’ve stayed at this hotel twice.
The first time was back in March, just for a day — and it seemed amazing (especially for the price). Icenter of the city, surrounded by many places to eat and visit, and the hotel staff was nice.
This time I stayed for 5 days, and I started to notice all the flaws.
To be fair, it really depends on why you’re visiting Portland. I came for work and it was a mistake to choose a hotel without a kitchen or breakfast.
There’s no microwave and coffee machine, and the mini fridge barely works. The restaurant downstairs was underwhelming and overpriced. Most places around the hotel are also pricey — unless you’re okay with greasy fast food 3 times a day.
I don’t drive, but I noticed parking is $50 per night, which seems excessive.
The Wi-Fi was extremely slow, I had to use my mobile hotspot the whole time.
There were no freebies, not even soap in the room. I had to ask the staff for one.
My first room had a window facing a wall of the next building, with no daylight at all, just dull artificial lighting. I asked to switch rooms, and thankfully the second one had much better view. I appreciate that they helped with the change.
There are also a lot of homeless people around the area. That’s not the hotel’s fault, it’s just how downtown Portland is right now. Still, it didn’t feel safe to walk around at night.
To be fair, the bed was great, which is rare.”
“We loved our visit here. We were in town for a wedding and booked our room as it was close to the venue. My daughter swam in the heated pool and had a blast. We had a queen suite with a balcony that had a gorgeous view. The rooms are a little outdated but very clean and comfortable and honestly I prefer the older vibe. Our room had everything you could possibly need. The staff was friendly and helpful and had great coffee in the morning. You can tell that they take pride in their business. I will definitely stay here again if I come to the area.”
“I was visiting family and was able to pay for the room with points since I travel for work and get to keep the points for personal travel. My family warned us that it's not in the best neighborhood. There were unhomed people camping in the area near the motel, but they kept to themselves. The room was immaculately clean and recently remodeled. The manager or owner was extremely helpful and polite. At checkout, we mentioned that the shower head was leaking and spraying water on the walls. He allowed us to leave our car while we ran errands and when we came back there was a maintenance person in the room fixing the shower. It's nothing fancy but it was clean, close to the area we wanted to visit and the service was flawless.”

“I just checked in a little bit ago. This hotel is great. The room is nice and has a balcony looking over the river. I wanted to be close to the airport but not next to it. The girls behind the counter were really nice and didnt mind answering my airport commute questions.
The last two hotels I stayed at charged me extra when I asked for a room closest to the parking lot or ground floor. (Prostetic foot)The receptionist here showed me the map and let me pick a room without a extra charge.”
“Friendly staff, great food, You can feel and smell clean but not chemical foofoo spray clean, real actual CLEAN clean! The beds are comfortable, the pillows are perfect, the TV is BIG the pool is warm and the hot tub is hot. It's an excellent place to stay.”
