“Antony knows more about typewriters than I think I’ve ever known about anything in my life. I brought in my grandma’s old Royal typewriter, and within minutes he had the ribbon fixed, everything reset, and the machine working properly again. He gave me a full overview of the typewriter and even sent me a PDF of the original manual. His knowledge is seriously incredible, and you can tell he genuinely loves what he does. If you have an old typewriter that needs some love, this is absolutely the place to take it!”

“I absolutely LOVED this place. The staff were super friendly and inviting. There's a bit of wait since it's a small museum. There's so much interesting strange things in this gem. It's easy to scoff and skip on sight, but I highly suggest it if you're into weird occult, horror stuff. The museum is in a super sketchy area, so watch out. That has nothing to do with the museum though. The shop has some interesting things. There's a clean bathroom in the museum too.”

“I’ve never had a more magical experience with buying and selling jewellery than the exchanges I’ve had with Poor Mouchette. They are wildly knowledgeable about the pieces in their store, anything you might bring in to sell, or if have questions about a piece you know little about. Poor Mouchette has repaired pieces for me at a fair price, pieces I didn’t even purchase from them, and they have made that process fun and exciting. The people working at Poor Mouchette are passionate about antique pieces and jewellery in general, and have always provided creative solutions for anything I might want to have reworked somehow or give a second life to. Every time I visit this shop, as someone who loves jewellery, I feel like I’m in an adult candy shop. The curation is beyond impeccable. They also do really beautiful custom pieces, which feels special and not something you’d normally expect from an antique jeweler. I cannot recommend this magical shop enough if you’re looking for an engagement ring, charms, gorgeous vintage earrings, a necklace…they have it all and more!”

We spent nearly an hour wandering around and inspecting every single piece of jewelry in there. Everything is stunning and sooo unique. There is a range in price as well for those who aren’t wishing to spend a fortune. We never felt pressured and the attendant (I wish I had gotten her name!) was extremely knowledgeable and kind. Elaine is an incredible craftsperson (check out her pussywillow baskets that she ships to New York designers!), she has some incredible vintage garments (kimonos!!) and other special objects, and above all i love her selection of plants. In an era when the newer small plant shops in Portland are selling at ridiculous mark-ups, the prices here are also super reasonable—I came home with quite a haul last week! Really glad places like Bella Flora still exist in my fair city.”

“The memory done is so cool!!!! this was recommended by a friend who knows how much I like vintage malls. Took my son we ended up being there for well over 3 1/2 hours. There’s a basement a middle floor and an upstairs. Packed with many vendors something for everyone.. There were also these really cool chests and checkerboards on the different floors where you could play. There was a TV in the basement. I think it was like GTA for FreePlay as well as old style televisions playing old videos.. I wanna go back! It would make for a really great date with your girlfriend or your mate or even your kids, def fun for a weekend of outing of browsing..”
