Pet Sitting & Training

Shadyrock School For Dogs
1806 S Jaggard St, AltoonaWe finished our last class today with Benelli our GS. He did great. Linda is a great teacher/coach. Dog training is all about what the owner wants to put into it. Linda can be tough we saw that, but do the homework, put the time in, TRAIN YOUR DOG, and the class is so much easier. Linda is there to correct your style and bad habits, your not going to get that watching YouTube videos. She's there to drive the lesson into your brain so you do it correctly and continue to do it correctlt and do it safely. If you can't take constructive criticism then maybe pet training with a trainer isn't for you. Our 5 month old GS did great and we're happy we did this training. He heels, sits and stays, and lays on command. Sure we have to keep up with the training, but the basics are there and he knows it. Thanks Linda for the help and knowledge!

29th St Pizza Subs & More
2900 5th Ave, AltoonaFinally got to come in this weekend after missing it the first time I ended up in Altoona. Was an amazing lunch and amazing conversation with the crew in there for over an hour! Was a pleasure meeting you all and I'll be sure to return soon ? The Altoona slice was a pleasant surprise and they know what they are doing there with their pizza, the dough was perfect in terms of a Sicilian slice and the history behind the Altoona style is actually much older than I thought. Also the shredded BBQ chicken sub was amazing and even the fries....if fries still taste good 8 hours later you KNOW they got it down! Hopefully I'll be back sooner than later.

Greenbean Coffee House
715 6th Ave, AltoonaSomething I learned over the past 2 years is that green bean coffee house is an absolute blessing to the homeless community. Overflow church as well as other churches and organizations come together to host a warming center each night through the winter for the homeless and green bean coffee is one of those organizations that assist with it. The night I volunteered overnight, in the morning green bean donated hot breakfasts to all the homeless. They also allow you to pay for a coffee or hot cocoa in advance so that when a homeless person comes in, they can ask for one without question. I am so moved by their love and compassion for those less fortunate. Not to mention their food and coffee is delicious!
