“I recently visited Macy’s in Erie and overall had a very positive experience. The store is spacious, well-organized, and carries a strong variety of brands across clothing, shoes, fragrances, and home goods. If you’re looking for a department store that gives you solid selection without having to drive to a major city, this location definitely delivers.
The men’s section, in particular, was impressive. There was a good mix of casual and business attire, and I appreciated that sizes were fairly well stocked. I was able to find quality pieces without feeling like I had to dig through disorganized racks. The layout made it easy to browse without feeling overwhelmed.
The fragrance and cosmetics area was also a highlight. It felt clean and well-maintained, and the displays were neat. Staff in that section were approachable without being pushy, which I personally prefer. They were willing to answer questions and give recommendations but didn’t hover.
Customer service overall was good. Most associates I interacted with were polite and helpful. One staff member went out of their way to check inventory for a size that wasn’t on the rack, which I appreciated. Checkout was relatively smooth, although the line took a bit longer than expected during peak hours. That’s probably the main reason I’m giving four stars instead of five.
Pricing was fair, especially if you catch a promotion or use coupons. Macy’s is one of those places where it pays to shop strategically. There were some solid clearance deals, and the quality generally matches the price point.
The store itself was clean, but a few areas felt slightly dated compared to newer mall department stores. It’s not a major issue, just something noticeable in certain sections. A small refresh in decor or lighting in some departments would elevate the experience.
Overall, Macy’s in Erie is a reliable stop if you’re shopping at the mall and want variety under one roof. Good selection, helpful staff, and decent value — just a few minor areas that could be improved to make it a full five-star experience. I’d definitely shop there again.”

“It’s a nice store all the prices are good. The staff I talked to were really nice. They have a very large selection of outdoors clothes that’s mainly what they sell. They also have a good selection of outdoors shoes like water shoes hiking shoes. For some reason they have like kids toys and snacks and beauty care? I’m not sure why but it’s there I guess. They have a nice selection of water bottles. Even a dressing room.”
“Checked to see if they possibly had some Halloween deals, low and behold they did and I got a great deal on a haunted tree set lights and sounds 75% off, also the last time I was there I checked out the Christmas decor, I saw these solar window Rudolph and Frosty's, there was 1 Rudolph and multiple Frosty's, I went to the back of the store to look at a few Halloween items and when I went back no Rudolph, Sheesh! So I bought a Frosty, as I was walking to the cashier I noticed a type of castle, there was only one left and I've been looking for one for awhile, what luck, pressed the button and it was great, sounds and lights, perfect, I left happy ?. Now back to today, before I left with my tree set I checked out the Christmas decor just for the heck of it and I'm glad I did because they restocked and YES there it was Rudolph, grabbed it and cashed out. I happened to be out and about today and before I went home I took a shot and it paid off turning it into another enjoyable experience at Big Lots.”

“It was clean, the workers were friendly, the bathrooms were clean and they had really good prices on food items. We are traveling from out of state and stopped to grab food for the road. They had a pretty good variety of hot food and cold food. Definitely a great choice. Parking was ok too. Also, it's right off the highway!”

“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mikaylah at Claire’s in the Millcreek Mall. She was absolutely amazing with my 6-year-old daughter, who was terrified to get her ears repierced after a traumatic experience over a year ago.
From the moment we walked in, Mikaylah made her feel safe, comfortable, and in control. She took the time to talk with her about all her favorite things to help take her mind off the piercing, and it worked like magic. “For some reason this Walmart has a more chaotic energy than any of the other Erie Walmart stores. Anxiety rushes me as soon as I enter the parking lot where a majority of the drivers are distracted and or speeding.
Otherwise, the store and staff have improved. They are being worked really hard, but will still help you if you ask. This location could use a better selection when it comes to most in-store items, especially produce. I find myself always shopping at Harborcreek Walmart for the products that I want, and I live closer to Elm Street.
The customers that frequent this Walmart are usually in a hurry, and it is extremely crowded around dinner time and right before Walmart closes at 11pm. The pictures I shared of the carts at night's end might help illustrate what the Elm Street Walmart employees have to have before they go home or right as they come on to their shift at 11pm.
Overall, Elm Street has a greatly improved atmosphere, and is a very easy store to do some quick shopping in.”
