Came across Universal auto repair and they great reviews, so I decided to make an appointment. Explained exactly what I was experiencing when driving. At first glance they couldn’t pin point the issue but with a bit more info from me they figured it out. Also had inspections/emission and daylight replaced. “I've been coming here for inspection and maintenance for years. This is definitely one of the best shops around. It's almost always pretty busy so it's best to call ahead to schedule appointment. There's no dedicated parking lot (like most shops in Philly), but there's plenty of street parking nearby when dropping off the vehicle. They always explain if there's any fixes needed and get your approval before doing any work. They never try to push any unnecessary services or charge any surprise fees. A++”
“There is a guy who works here by the name of Alex who gave me really great service today. He fixed my tire. He is honest and he didn’t try to jip me just because I’m a female. Very very reasonable price. Fast service. He even went as far as filling air in all four of my tires. I recommend this place for any tire service. (I also recommend bringing cash to save from card service fees)”

SUPER Fast, friendly service. Great prices. They mounted and balanced 4 tires for me and I couldn’t be happier. In and out in a flash, sat outside and enjoyed the breeze and warm weather!
I’m not from the area, I just work in Philly everyday, and I know as an outsider, the vast majority of these tires places can look shady and feel intimidating. Hunting Park Tire Shop is not one of them. They are totally legitimate and one of the best you’ll find. Stop searching and come see them!

“This morning, I found I had a flat tire. Did some googling and found this business. I called them and within 5-10 mins I had a quote. And when I agreed and provided a credit card, a person came about 40 mins later. The person was courteous and changed the tire within a half hr. Price was decent and they gave me a Michelin tire. All in all, a great experience despite the flat tire.”
