“Well, this is a first for me. I've never reviewed a grocery store before. Never really had a reason to until now. This review is for my food runner Melanie. I ordered groceries online and it was raining when I went to pick them up. She told me just to pull my car in the front and she put all of them in the back for me in the pouring rain. On top of that she sensed that I had been going through something. She reached in her pocket and gave me a little good luck charm. It was a cute little rubber frog. She gave me a big hug and told me that I was loved and she didn't know what I was going through but that it was going to be OK. Not what you expect when you go to the grocery store. The kindness is so touching and overwhelming. It can be a cruel world in times but people like Melanie that you randomly find at a Food Lion on Ladson will make you believe in humanity and God's love again”

“Shopped at this store to pick up some meat that they have on sale. Found everything I needed that was in the ad. Store well stocked. Thank you to all the workers. I be coming back.”

“Dude. I walked in wanting to buy a harmonica for my DnD character. I didn't think they'd have any, but I hoped. I walk in, ask an employee "yo do yall have any harmonicas?" The employee, deadpan and half paying attention, "cereal aisle by the nesquik." Doubting his wise words, I go to the cereal aisle. I find the nesquik. I look a little bit to the right... and what do you know, LITERAL FREAKING HARMONICAS. This employee knew exactly where they were and gave me detailed instructions. I would leave a one million star review if I could.”

“Piggly wiggly is a staple in the south, especially in South Carolina. We come here frequently because it is so conveniently located and they normally have just what we need. Any last minute ingredients can often be had with a quick stop. The shelves stay well stocked and the fresh ingredients are a plus. They even have local food products from small business you can purchase which is great to see them supporting that. Also they are certified SC which means they sell products grown and made locally in the state. My husband loves to stop in and surprise me with last-minute wine and flowers and it makes my day every time. The staff is always friendly and the store is always clean.”

“I'm not sure what's going on with most of the Dollar generals in my surrounding area other than them not having enough staff but every single dollar general I go into it is a complete disaster as far as stocking shelves and just disarray most of the items are not where they should be I guess it just is because they don't have enough staff . I still love the Dollar general even if the stores are a mess.”

“Enjoyed shopping. Food store is played out nicely to find items and the had everything I was looking to buy. Was especially happy to find King Hawaiian Bread loaves. The only thing I disliked was at checkout. The bags are terrible. Had to bag one set of items twice because the bags are so flimsy, they tore apart. Really should have bagged it a third time but ended up tying the sides together.”

“Today is the first time I can say I wasn't rolling my eyes because the line was extra long. ? Jen was getting us in and out and was friendly and kind at the same time. Thank you for your warm and friendly speedy service. And the shelves was stocked up too. I had no problem finding my snacks ??? thanks again hunni you rock!??”

“Always friendly and helpful staff and pharmacist. Switched over prescriptions from CVS due to shortages and long wait times in May. I am very happy with my decision.”
