“Amazing customer service! I had a bit of a complicated request and they absolutely went above and beyond!
I placed an online order for two pairs of shoes, one of which for pickup at this location and the other for delivery to my home. The pair that was delivered turned out to be too big so when I went to pickup my second pair I asked if I could return both pairs as I ordered both in the same size.
They let me try on both shoes in the smaller size to decide which one fit me best. As it turns out, each pair fits slightly different (since they’re different styles) so I got one in the original size and the other in half a size smaller!
I still had to return the pair that was delivered to my home as I needed the half size smaller and they were able to return and put in the replacement order for the size I needed all at once! I figured that id have to return them then place another order online but they made the process so much smoother and now my replacements are arriving tomorrow (it look less than a week)!”

“I rarely write reviews, but this place is really great. It feels like stores used to feel 20 years ago. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. No upsell. The employees really want you to get the best shoe and don't act like you're bothering them. I got a pair of shoes I'm really happy with, and learned a lot in the process. Will be the only place I buy running shoes going forward.”

They take the time to suggest what suits you, check stock availability, and even bring out items you're looking for. The collection is fantastic too. “This Academy has a GREAT selection of youth football helmets. Ridell 2025 and 2026 ND6 Speedflex, other Riddells, various Schutts, even Light and a couple of others. Was there late at night with my son shopping for/trying on football helmets. The staff there was particularly friendly. Chris made sure to stick around and let us ask questions and find the perfect fit helmet for my son. Unfortunately, they didn't have the size/color combo he needed, so I ordered from academy.com. Honestly, I would have just ordered from Amazon if it weren't for the level of service we received. PS: thankfully my 10 year old liked the Schutt F7 ($199) better than the Spedflex ND6 ($480). The Schutt is cheaper, lighter and has an Excellent Virginia Tech research rating. It ranks better than the new Speedflex.”

“Carson at the Frisco store is hands down one of the best sales associates I have ever worked with, not just at Lucchese, but anywhere. I buy a lot of boots and I am admittedly extremely particular about color, leather, scale pattern, construction, stitching, symmetry, fit, and even the smallest cosmetic details. Most people would probably lose patience with me after about five minutes, but Carson has been the complete opposite. He has been incredibly patient, thoughtful, honest, responsive, and genuinely determined to help me find exactly what I am looking for rather than simply trying to make a quick sale.
What really sets Carson apart is the amount of effort he puts in. He has called multiple Lucchese stores across different states, tracked down hard to find pairs, requested additional photos from different angles, compared individual boots with me, checked inventory, spoken with managers, researched made to order options, and continued digging even after we thought we had exhausted every possibility, even when he’s at home and not on the clock! At one point, when a pair sold before I could grab it, he immediately kept searching for another. He has never once made me feel rushed, difficult, or unreasonable for being picky. Instead, his attitude has consistently been, essentially, we are going to find the right boot for you. That is incredibly rare.
What I appreciate most is that Carson actually listens. He remembers the little details about what I like and dislike, the exact richness of a color, how I want a particular stitching to look, what kind of scale pattern catches my eye, and even tiny construction details that most people would probably never notice. He understands that when someone is spending serious money on a pair of handmade boots, they should genuinely love what they are getting. He does not just tell me what I want to hear, he gives honest opinions, sends detailed photos, and goes the extra mile to make sure I know exactly what I am buying.
There have been multiple occasions where Carson has done far more work than anyone could reasonably expect from a sales associate, sometimes involving numerous calls, multiple stores, managers, special-order questions, and a ridiculous amount of back-and-forth, all with patience, humor, and a great attitude. Even when I changed my mind, found another pair, or decided something was not quite perfect enough, he never made me feel like I had wasted his time. He simply kept helping.
I genuinely cannot say enough good things about him. Lucchese is fortunate to have someone who represents the brand with this level of professionalism, persistence, warmth, and genuine care for the customer. Carson has earned my trust, and for someone as particular about boots as I am, that is saying a lot. I will absolutely continue going out of my way to work with him and make sure he gets my future business whenever possible.”

I was in and out in about 15 minutes total with two great pairs of shoes!!”
