“Look everyone on Google knows that when I write a review basically it's for the customer. Well this review is a little different. I was the seller and Mcleod Auto Sales was my purchaser. I went there to get a quote on my car and I met Rylund Peterson very nice and respectable young man. He took a look at my 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum addition, which was a beautiful SUV inside and out. So we sit down and talked about the estimate that Rylund presented to me. Well he saw the bluebook value and offered me the blue book value and said no. Then he ask me what would it take to get your SUV. I gave him my price he told me to hold on and came back, and told me he could do that for me. Man it made my day a lot more easier than I expected. Rylund was straight up honest, professional, and a great sells person I'm telling Mcleod Auto Sales is where you should do business. If you are looking for the best car dealership in Killeen this is the place to go. It feels genuinely honest people that works there. “I bought my car brand new in 2024 and I regularly get it maintenance at all American Chevrolet. The team is very professional they always get me in right around my appointment time. At the end of July, my car started making a funny noise. I brought it in with no appointment and Amanda got my car to the back right away to get it diagnosed. They came back and told me I had a seized bearing and that I would need my camshaft replaced. I immediately was concerned about the cost of something extensive like that but they reached out to GM and got 90% of the repair cost covered for me! There were no rentals available that day so they Uber me back to my house and then Uber me back to the dealership the very next day to put me in a rental. The whole process was Easy and the Repair Cost was very low! I highly recommend this place for anybody needing regular maintenance or any kind of engine repairs.”

We do most of our own work at home but there are some things we can't do. Like alignments etc. I was given an immediate appointment and everyone was so kind when I went in. They were extremely helpful, didnt over sell me and even pointed out a safety issue that I had completely overlooked!! (Check your dates on your spare tires, friends!!) At the end of it, I left knowing that they would be the mechanics I use going forward! You should try them too!”

“The service was amazing! The techs and office manager were very knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed my problem. They also were able to point out some issues that the Meineke I had used before them (and had to make them stop working on my car-long story) had messed up. Also so kind! Since I just had to sit and wait for the car a few hours and didn't think about getting food, and the office manager got me snacks and coffee and even shared her lunch. Whole experience was so much better than other shops I've been to and I wish I had gone here first.”

I especially want to recognize Mark. From the moment you walk through the door, he is one of the first people you interact with, and when the work is finished, he is often the last person you speak with before leaving. That makes a difference.
During one of our conversations, things started off a little rough. Instead of becoming defensive or dismissive, Mark remained patient, professional, and understanding. He took the time to actually listen to my concerns and made sure I felt heard. I have tremendous respect for how he handled the situation.
The mechanics may be the ones turning the wrenches and doing the repairs, but having someone like Mark representing the business and dealing directly with customers is an asset that shouldn't be overlooked. Good customer service isn't just about everything going perfectly. It's about how someone responds when things aren't going perfectly, and Mark handled it exceptionally well.

“Most people wouldn’t consider buying a new car as an impulse purchase, but…after reviewing the changes to the Outback starting with the 2026 Model Year, I decided I needed to get one of the 2025 models before they stopped production.
I knew what I wanted before I stepped foot on the dealer’s lot. My salesman, Hunter, was friendly and courteous, let me test drive a similarly equipped used model (the one I wanted was still in transit), and helped me get the paperwork processed for the vehicle I wanted. I knew what model, trim, color and accessories I wanted, and Hunter got me exactly what I wanted.
Price I paid out-the-door…I could’ve negotiated more, or opted for less extras. With all of the added maintenance plans, GAP insurance, Loss Replacement Insurance, and Dealer Installed Options, I paid 23% over MSRP…but I also know that I could have avoided the vast majority of those charges. For me, the most important thing was not getting the car for the lowest possible price, but getting the car I want for a price I could afford, with the lowest financial risk possible in an uncertain future.
The dealership is new and clean, the maintenance area is clean and well organized, and the employees are knowledgeable, respectful, and don’t try to “upsell”.
I recommend this dealership to friends and family.”
